Yeah I did see it, it was the reason I kept running even though literally just ran by a laggy min assault. I take care of it at like 5 something in the game with an re of my own.
The things don't show up when you ads on em. I have no clue if that re was basic, adv, proto because I don't recall the enemy getting a kill with them during the game. But I mean I looked at it within a few feet and then ran over it then looked at it again from a different angle. No clue what the scan profile is of remotes, I don't run precision mods on my suit.

Personal preference I like it the way it is obviously. The things are easy to see on the ground, easy to hear when they are tossed (unless tossed from up high, wouldn't mind some kinda height limit or distance traveled limitation. the distance thing could screw with killing tanks though) and easy to destroy.

1 thing I don't really dig is standing up high (top of building, pipes) and dropping down water balloons on top of people. Is there some kinda way of limiting that I wonder. Yes I have done it, but I'd rather not being able to. There is zero danger to it.

I run scanner full time now so unless they are used as grenades or are not in the usual places (objectives) they are almost useless against me. It's nice not wasting flux grenades anymore. My comment was saying I don't think we should be detecting them on passive. If everyone can detect them they become almost useless unless someone is actively watching for someone to walk up to them or using them like grenades. Everyone has less then 28db close range scan. Now that being said how do we fix if we want them to be useful in the way we just drop and forget at objectives? Do we fix it? Should we have to have eyes on to use them instead of "Objective A is being hacked" push button blow up merc? I mean RE's have blast radius of 5m and only the Sentinel with lvl 5 range will not see them before getting in 5m range. I don't use RE's. Do we drop the profile of them to std/adv/proto > 28/20/15 so only mercs with precision can detect them and only proto scanners can detect them? Or nerf the inner ring so it is not so damn good? I believe we're intended to. TBQH im glad we can't. Imagine a squad of heavies with a single precision tanked logi with plates and range amps, scanning down any traps. Perhaps more advanced tiers pick them up, but basic doesn't. And I've yet to catch one on passives, even when looking at it. That means it's impossible to pick up on passives. Please buff my Magsex.
