RE: Frost Kitty
One of my favorite matches was running into Frost with Ghost, Calamity Jane, and 2 other scouts of similar caliber on his team on Line Harvest.
I was F'd but it was still fun.
At one point I had hacked D, and hid cloaked. Three of them went to counter hack. I got the magical double knife kill with one set of swipes, and killed the third before they knew what hit them and ran off. I wish I knew who I had knifed, but I knew that that there must have been another scout in the area and was too intent on saving my skin.
Was near A on the back ridge by the CRU at another point, cloaked, and heard an NK swipe that killed my team mate running behind me. I was waiting for it in my back, and turned around to see Ghost running for the CRU. I somehow managed to kill him with my SMG before he got too far.
Topped the leader board at 500 WP and ended up getting invited to the squad by Frost.
That game has always been one of my highlights.

I also thing that poor matchmaking/balancing has a lot to do with this.
I could be fine with cheap deaths if I felt I contributed to my team, but when its a blow out on either end they feel pointless.
Thankfully I got Garden Warfare and DA:I to keep me entertained. I had trouble at first but after I re-added cloak to my fits and after RE swap delay got fixed, I started doing much better. Granted it's not as good as it was pre-cloak swap delay and ewar shakeup, but it's not too bad. I've been using a triple kincatted proto suit though, so YMMV

The min scout is the best scout in my opinion because the satisfaction level is above and beyond anything else in this game. Adrenaline is OP.

Something I've never understood, it seems like people who get really frustrated and angry with the game also play it all the time. Just take a break 0_0 It's a continuously developed F2P game where your character gets stronger even when you're not playing it, it's made for taking breaks.
I just find it weird that some people seem to hate the game and play it once or twice a day when I love the game and play it once or twice every month

I have to make choices about fitting. I have all the scout suits on one account or another, fitting the other scouts is much easier, and i really don't have to make choices about fitting with them Min are in a much better place than they used to be. I am of the opinion that all suits should have to make hard choices in fitting. It shouldn't ONLY be about slots, pg and cpu need to mean something. Maybe my time in EVE made me feel this way, but I think the min scout is the most balanced and in tune with the New Eden philosophy. |

@One Eyed : I feel that pain man. It *is* the toughest suit (not tried Amarr but whatevah). But if it wasn't for the special moments with knives, and the speed + shotgun, I wouldn't touch it. I also think it's pretty situational - if the map doesn't have much in the way of CQC, you're prolly not gonna do so good.
I'm not fine in the min scout, but it *is* my favourite.
Kaeru Nayiri wrote: Edit: I also believe the min scout has plenty of fitting space, I never have trouble fitting anything I want. Might have to do with the fact I feel 1 enhanced shield extender is enough.
It really doesn't when you want to fit 2 or more kincats. I'm usually in the ADV suit, and I've taken to running 3x ADV shield extenders if I'm not running EWAR. I actually think the ADV extenders make more sense with the reduced shield recharge delay. 3x ADV versus 2x PRO (coz can't fit a third PRO) gives more HP and better recharge.
Oh and I almost forgot - I do not run with *any* equipment - coz I can't fit it. So used to that that I almost forgot to mention it. No cloak, no REs, etc.

Maybe my time in EVE made me feel this way, but I think the min scout is the most balanced and in tune with the New Eden philosophy. I believe fitting should be hard. Who uses cpu/pg mods? I do on my g-I scout so I can run proto cloak and glu tac-ar. Some say noob scouts can not use cloak. I say my 1,761,752 SP lvl 3 gal scout fits a std claok with all militia gear. why because it to makes use of basic cpu mod. Everyone expects to run all proto with no problems I want to be forced to choose and if I want to run all proto then I have to sacrifice a slot for cpu or pg mod.
Now that said would like to see the mods moved to EQ slot (**** the sentinels, lol). replace the cpu/pg bonus on scouts so if a scout wants to run a cloak they have to use 2nd slot for cpu/pg. also would like to see a combined cpu/pg mod that works like the reactive plate buffing both but weaker.

The little bit of PG they gave to knives and KinCats worked surprisingly well.
I can even fit 2 Complex Damps and Ishukune Knives on my Quaffe if I want, and a Pro Cloak if I am really willing to make a sacrifice.
It feels like enough sacrifice.
Maybe HP mods should have as high a fitting cost as KinCats?

There are some really bizarre disproportions between the fitting costs of utility mods and HP mods.
Enhanced kincat - 18 CPU 11 PG
Enhanced armor plate - 18 CPU 6 PG

Awesome kill man. You tried to knife the driver out on the 2nd pass too - that would've been epic. I did that the other day - always thought it should be possible. Just hoped someone was watching.
I've forge gunned drivers out of their cars, shotgunned them, and finally now knifed them. I always have to try it lol - got run over just now trying to shotgun a driver head on hahahhhha.
[edit]
So who is for trying to convince Rattati that if a merc manages to get up on top of a tank, he should be able to drop a grenade into it?

Coz that one (or more) dampener means one less kincat I do think that KinCats fittings should be lowered if HP can't be increased, but that has less to do with the fitting capacity of the suit and more to do with the insane fitting costs of a KinCat.
