It's just the UI they won't bother diverting resources to. I think CCP honestly doesn't know why they failed so hard with DUST, so they think a pc version will do well. Only it's going ot be the same terrible decisions over and over again. The only ones that are getting it right are rattati and logibro, might as well focus resources on something that works rather than another WoD project.

Well CCP Rogue has been only on the job effect since 2014 so to say; He has moved mountains from my perspective and is doing much with the resources he does have and I have to say his leadership has been cranking out plenty of good all round from everyone involved as well. CCP Rattati was an excellent choice and partnering him with CCP Logibro and CPM is making out to be a good team so far.
I just wished he had an extra clone or two.
One to communicate, one for legion, one for dust.

CCP Logibro and the CPM will continue to work on both games.
As for where CCP Rattati goes one can hope. For now lets enjoy, revel, and exploit the fact that we have him here and now.
Anyways I am still looking for feedback on snipers overall; CCP was pretty hardset on reducing range but I hope the suggested range would be still suitable combined with the buffs and adjustments.
Also another question I made some changes to the Balac's Sniper Rifle (very very very few of these are out there but should be out there regardless) any issues of me changing it to be a tactical like variant? In the event it gets reissued/loot table?
Anyways overall here is my plans and I am willing to derail on some topics if you guys come up with a good reason.
Key thoughts so far...
Reduced Sniper Range to still be the longest range gun in the game by a significant margin still. Absolute/Falloff Range is in the air; I am very open and very willing to hear thoughts on where falloff and max ranges needs to be. Reducing Sway Time and amount for Tacticals and allowing for max stability while standing still without crouching. Upped headshot damage massively on all rifles Upped Tactical Magazine up to 6 and gave an extra reloads worth over other snipers. Increased Tactical ROF to 120 RPM Lowered the headshot bonus from the other snipers post buff (still much higher than before) Upped base damage on all rifles to deal with new EHP numbers in a more reasonable manner. Reduced Charge Rifle magazine size to 3. Upped the Charge Rifle damage much more while giving it the same headshot bonus as the other snipers. Reduced Specialists Magazine size to 4 as a drawback for easier fitting; I'll see if I can get the isk price reduced. Matched Thales Zoom to Prototype Rifles.

How about a tightening of the scope so the inner empty space of the -o- is the same size of as the old dot sight. That would make counter sniping less of pain in the ass for the long shots. Would also make aiming more precise instead of a pickamix of luck.

Observation: If I'm reading this proposal correctly, a body shot from Charge SR will OHK the majority of my proto fits.
Thoughts: I don't mind getting OHK'd by a Shotgun. The shotgunner has to be sufficiently fast to catch me, sufficiently dampened to beat my scans, sufficiently sneaky to avoid detection by me or my allies. When I do get OHK'd by Shotgun, I do not rage. In my mind, (1) skill and loadout requirements were met by the shotgunner and (2) the shotgunner successfully managed all risk factors and (3) I screwed up. The same thinking goes for getting OHK'd by Plasma Cannons and Nova Knives. It happens. It's often funny. There's no question that skill was involved. I can't imagine having the same mentality about a sniper placing an OHK body shot from 300+ meters, camped safely atop a spire or deep in redline.
Question: I totally understand and agree that increasing the SR's punch is necessary to keep pace with HP creep. But is it not a better idea to increase the headshot multiplier only, such that there is no question as to the skill requirement of the shooter?

Nope. Killing non-frontline suits isn't always quite as simple. Logi suits have 1k hp. Assaults have 1k hp. Heavies are approaching 2k now. Scouts are pretty bloody close to 1k - near enough as makes no difference. I've got to the point where if I see a scout running below 300 hp, I don't kill them unless I have to.
And I'm so ******* tired of hearing this "oh hurr durr u cant kil dem snipr qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq"
I've had 21 Thale's in my entire time playing. I don't have any now. Because snipers can't be killed, amirite?

All we need to do is get the snipers out of the redline. Because they're vulnerable when they're out. We need to figure out the best way to do that. Appia has suggested that if the weapon had the power to kill damn near any suit then redline snipers would be a non-factor because they would be easily killed by any sniper outside the redline. Of course then you fall into the trap of the best counter is itself, on the other hand, if the weapon being self countering is enough to get them out then I'd think it's a decent solution. After all, if they're out they can be hunted.
The whole rooftop camping thing is also a problem, but that's a whole different issue.

If that's the case then the issue is speed, not the cloak. White backgrounds may obscure it slightly, but the blue glare is still fairly obvious unless there's light directly behind them.

Now i cant talk about the charge or the base variant.all I can talk about is the the tat, yes most of the time im a counter sniper with 3 damaged moded gk.0 assault( plus core grenades. Hello shotgun scouts) which I use with modest success to clear places I believe snipers are hold up. Yes snipers on towers are annoyingly effective sometimes but dropships are your friend and halo jumps work even when solo. But that is not the point. The point is the sniper is now entirely based on headshots. Unless its a front line or a ewar based scout.
So to be effective in my line of work I always need to line up 2 headshots with 3 becoming more and more common. that ttk is longer than just shooting them with the large selection of weaponry I have at my hate filled mitts. yes I hate sniper's. I hate the bastards with passion more holy than an dumb ass crusade that a std ridden pope ever backed up. So why I am I not jumping on the nerf bandwagons cropping up on this fine forums you may ask. Because its a legitimate playstyle that has gone unloved and mostly despised by anyone who just got shot by a mlt sniper rifle when they just came out of a gunfight or just redlined an entire team.

the sniper rifle right now is only really worth a damn at proto with damage mods. End off I can easily get more kills with a exile ar on my raven suit than I can with my 180k gk.0 and thats me taking risks like with how close I am to the action and actively huntin for kills orther than snipers. Yes snipers now can be annoying but counter sniping right now is in a worse place. We don't have the ability to end their odd kill here and the there because of the lack of killing power. The can sit in there fatty suit and tank my headshot with ease and move into cover before I can get my third shot I need in.
Buffin the sniper rifle will make snipers more deadly. But will make us counter snipers much more of a threat. And that rifle Is in need of love. The ramblings of a counter sniper. Also to those refusing to snipe back well learn to fly and nose dive XD

Just when I was starting to have fun with Dust, I ran into a G.L.O.R.Y. protostomping squad. Three times total in 2 hours, two of the times were back to back.
So frustrating.
I can't wait until they are thrown into games with their own kind, or at the very least Scotty matches me up with a team that is good enough to fend for ourselves.
In the last game, I am finished first and am pretty sure I had at least double the WP of the No 2 player, possibly even 1k more. Anger makes my memory fuzzy.
When does the New Mu come into effect? Soon I hope.

Snipers should kill effectively. Redline must go (or at the very least be a great distance away from objectives so Snipers cant safely camp)
All structures should have a manual way to ascend them (thats is for Legion)
Just use common sense and get it done CCP
Edit: The only reason I get peeved after getting dropped by a sniper is realizing I cant hunt him without losing another suit.

You guys snipe far more often than I do; I trust your judgement and concede to your counterpoints. I would only advise caution. At the moment, "assault lite" is in decline and there's room in the game for Scouts without plates. I'd hate to see this trend reversed by sniper or anything else.

Logibro is bringing a third scope for all the long range rifles the modified plasma cannon with the wings pushed out to the far ends. The dot on it is much smaller and the wings light up to help cut down on dot blindness.
The circle dot is likely to remain for the tactical. Chances are that we will have to see additional feedback on it after the buff will hopefully up its usage.

By all rights the Ishukone should kill a scout in a body shot. It's almost a challenge to let a sniper kill you in a scout suit. If you aren't tanking then you shouldn't be so careless to get hit in the first place.
