Agreed. In my mind, a bonus to knives or hacks is nigh useless if your position is being broadcasted to nearby hostiles. As this overlaps a 'bit with Gallente's "infiltration" role, I'd prefer to see something like Bor's idea implemented, such that Minmatar actively manage their scan profiles using cloak ... god-d*mn "waves of opportunity" allover again :-)

I see no problem with that approach - except that it's still assuming pro suit with pro cloak.

It's kinda sad when I'm having more fun on Skyrim replays, and now checking out this XCOM and being content to let passive SP accumulate for a few months so I can log in, unlock all the proto stuff and feel like I actually have a chance with scouts on the enemy team. I'm waiting for Charlie, when my 2x cDamp on the ADV suit might be more survivable.

For the record, it's not the 'hard mode' that's got me down - that's fine. What's gotten more aggravating than I can ignore is getting under 200k ISK out of a winning match where I have 10+ kills and over 1500 WP, but took 7 or 8 losses to get there... losses costing me 61k ISK per suit. I die 4 times, I'm not even breaking even. And when everybody sees you coming but you can't see them, you die. Often. Unless you're sniping.

I'm tired of sniping for 10-15 matches to buy enough suits to play 3-4 matches the way I enjoy (run around, stab all the mercs, shoot the other ones, hack all the things) playing. And watching all the NS, FA, ML, DL, ERA, etc. with all their ISK from the old PC running all PRO, all the time because losing 10 PRO suits in a match doesn't even impact their wallets - yeah, that doesn't really help, either. The jimmy rustlin' is intense.
