After the events in the US last year I dont see any relevance of the security clearance.
Still cool for spy thrillers and gaming though.

14 now XD Word of advice. High School can be the most fun thing of your life. I just graduated last year, and I still miss a lot of the things I did in high school (football, weights, band, the games etc.). Don't let the opportunity pass by, if you want to even try something GO FOR IT. I joined the football team to spite a friend who said I couldn't do it (I also wanted to try it myself to see if I could) F--K him, I did it for 4 years straight, and I freaking loved it. Music has stayed with me my whole life, because of how much fun I had in marching band (I miss it every day, and I hear the college band play on a daily basis) High School goes by fast. Cherish it. I really felt like writing this after coming back from classes today. Well......as much as I hate to get information about life from the internet....thanks I guess.

We seemed to have had vastly different experiences of secondary/high school.

Maybe it's just me.
But I loved high school.
I love college too.
I think I've just learned to create my own fun over time, cause there is very few things I hate to do.
Take golf for example. I'm terrible at it. But I'll have a blast at being bad at it.

My normal advice is that is high school was the best years of your life, you're doing it wrong That said, trying everything you can is excellent advice. Its amazing what skills and knowledge ends up being useful.

Eh, coulda been the school I went to. Wasn't horrible, but it was terribly boring, and the teachers only let certain people even try out for the teams. Like the rugby team, loved the game, but I was denied access to trying out, the only one I could was the debate team.
I hate debating. I used to be decent at golf, but I lost interest in taking it seriously so I just drive the balls down the field for stress relief from time to time. College is a blast, really has been the best time I've had so far.

Our school won't let teachers turn you down for teams (unless they were by audition, such as baseball or Drumline).
I was okay at football. I NEVER started a game in my life, but I was always on scout team (Made for some painful practices though. I remember the time I got laid out by the other teams RB at full sprint. I took that hit like a champ.)
I made some great friends and had a blast at practice. I'm a big advocate for American Football. With the right coach, you can learn a lot more than football in the camps. I learned more than one life lesson, and most importantly, that there is no reason to not try your hardest at something.
Making friends with people is surprisingly easy when you've trained, fought, lost and won together. I personally knew that my teammates would flat out carry you on their backs if they had to (which we did on more than one occasion. Coach even made us carry another team-member on our back and run stairs at one point. I may not be the best at football, but my QB knew for a fact that I could carry him up and down a set of stairs 20 times if I had to. Nothing builds trust like that.)
Dangit, now I'm getting all nostalgic

Yeah, I get that, I did manage to get into the north meath county team rather than the school one. Guys always had my back when i was injured or otherwise ,which was alot, (I'm fragile, couldn't take a hit but wasn't afraid to take one, kinda had to seeing as I was a wing) Had more than a few wins and losses with those guys, and the friendship stayed on outside the pitch, be it playing D&D or out at the nightclub. Couldn't carry them up a set of stairs once but I'd sure as hell try until my arm fell off.

I mainly Played saftey (There was only 6 people on our team faster than me in 40 times), but moonlighted as corner every now and then.
Getting hit by RB's at full speed SUCKS. I then yell at my linebackers for not slowing them down (They get to full speed when they aren't touched AT ALL). I can't just let him run for free, so I run into him and aim for the legs. I only weigh like 170 though, so I got ran over most of the time. FB was even worse, as the guy was easily 230 and could run faster than I could
I played RB myself after they found out I couldn't even catch a cold. In my defense, I CAN catch just fine in backyard football and when playing safety. There was just some mental block that killed me when I would realize that if I caught the ball on scout Offense, our Defense would DESTROY ME (They got 3rd at state for a reason. They were brutal).
But yeah, football is fun. Makes you really tough after a few years too.

But yeah, football is fun. Makes you really tough after a few years too. i ran a sub 4.65 last summer, and I'm faster now. I play lax too cause I'm fast and i run for all my hits so i hit hard too. Any laxbros out there?
The only way to tackle someone who's running is to run even faster and drop a shoulder. Its also the only way not to get hurt
And yeah coordination is something I'm lacking, but i do tennis ball drills for an hour or so a day during the summer and football season
