I think you language is a bit unwieldy and at times a little tough to read.
Perhaps in certain sections you could have Robert think outside of the moment and focus on what is going on around him, perhaps in these times you can use certainly language techniques to communicate how Robert perceives the world around him especially given his circumstances.
What does he do while he waits, what does he thing about, what does what he is doing make him think about, does he have a perpetually negative outlook, is he positive, etc.
I feel like if you give creative writing a bit more practice and perhaps read a few of your favourite books which got you interested in the concept to narrow down you style the words will flow. That being said it is in the middle of an action sequence for all intents and purposes so stop and start sentence structure is to be expected.......though to be honest I find that when people present writing they are struggling with such seauences because they have not built the scene up enough.
Remember Media Res (the middle of things) doesn't mean you have to throw your character into raw action they just have to be doing something.

Honestly not sure what else. It was my prior understanding that turn speed was affected only by input sensitivity.

Well, it is affected by ADSing, crouching, and sprinting at the very least. The lower aiming speed while sprinting is annoying whenever I shotgun in Dust. |

Maybe if CCP took a sneak peek at how games that got good reviews for their aiming mechanics does things there could be ways of improving Dust without putting too many Dev hours into NPE: aiming mechanics? |
