Dual SMG is not pointless, it's just sub optimal.

If you are going to Waste the knives bonus, at least run an anti shield weapon as a backup. Especially since projectiles are 15/15.

Try AR/SMG on a speed and shield tanked min scout. Excellent glass cannon fit.

Different people find success in different fits, and though you may prefer Damps and Kincats, others may prefer Armour. Whilst I do enjoy running 2 Kincats occasionally, running Ferroscales or Reactives is certainly viable - if not a more effective alternative. This is due to the high fitting costs of the Kincats. On my fit with two Kincats, I have to skimp on REs and other mods.

PARKOUR and I will use whatever fits we find effective. People have told me how to fit my suits before, and they were wrong.

i am telling you that your min scout build is horrible. 2 SMG's, a reactive....slow, very limited in combat situations. This is not PS2 this is Dust.

edit: gal scouts aren't OP anymore, and why would you choose a SMG over an ACR?!! Again a bad fit, adding an ACR would at least increase your range

**** man.. you may as well go the ghost K route and go PC. PS4 has been pretty disappointing, and they truly used the shittiest possible internals.

Really quite a shame.

Between SC and PS4 lacklusterness I have to go PC. And I never did think I'd say that.

Assuming there is such a heavy signal loss in an ethernet cable (which seems strange to me for some reason, but I suppose it's not impossible), how can it be any worse than the loss you will suffer from using any form of wireless?

Just going to add this bit about armor and stuff for the min scout, Parkour:

Low slots.. Low slots for the min scout are (in my humble opinion) the most treasured and precious things in dust. My low slots are worth more than a lifetime supply of officer weapons.

Why?

Damps and Kincats.

But let's forget that for a second, you want to test having a chunkier buffer of armor on a minscout. May I suggest ferros instead? If you are legitimately worried about repairing your armor, just bring a compact nanohive with you. you'll have 3 armor fill ups stocked up whenever you need. Count how often you actually use all 3 of them, then decide if you really want to give up a low slot for 1 more point of armor regen.

Personally, I always die before I can make use of armor regen. If I don't, I got REALLY lucky, and I'm not going to get lucky twice, so odds are I don't need the armor I lost for the next engagement.

with the scanners around i gave up on fitting a damp...its either all damps or nothing.

edit: I use a cardiac reg, a kincat and a codebreaker in my lows....works great

2x Damps and a Kincat is practically all you need unless they have more than one Proto Gal Logi spamming scans.

If you ever have to use 3x damps on a Min Scout, you need to switch to a 2x Gal scout.

Sometimes I even had to run 3x damp gal scout because squads will pull out 3x focused scan logis. This is how I know I'm loved.

Short version of "How to Scout"

1.) Spawn in suit with speed and uplinks. Survive until death.

2.) Spawn in suit with 1 damp. Play until scanned.

3.) After death or depot, switch to suit with 2 damps. Play until scanned (You normally never go past this step)

4.) Spawn in 3x damp scout and murder gal logis until they quit to save their KD/R.

5.) Play safe: 2x Damps. Feeling gutsy: 1x Damp. Repeat steps 2 (or 3) through 5 until game ends.

Running damps harms your offensive capabilities, so you ALWAYS want to run as few as possible. This is why each suit needs a 1, 2, and 3 damp set up to rotate through as needed.

In PC, typical loadout is 2x damps no matter the scout. Only go 3x on a Gal scout. Min scouts can't compete with other suits at 3x damps, so you have to switch to a gal or amarr scout, or to a different suit. I go Gal if I need to still play scout, Min Assault if I need to slay.

Hmm. I think I might write a comprehensive guide on scouting before I finally say goodbye. I'm sure it will drastically reflect my own playstyle, but I'm sure more than a few new players could benefit from it.
