edit: Played a few matches for the week....almost left my KD at 10 for the week until i ran into this nyain squad G/1 scouts BAR +DM SK9M +DM COM KC COM damp COM Ferro Fluxes OP mid/CQC scout. Infiltrator fit, cause watching a lot of PS2 on YouTube heres my thoughts M/1 SK9M +DM M209 +DM Fluxes COM shield COM reactive COM damp cloak Thoughts & constructive criticism welcome. 2 SMG's is pointless...not running knives on a min scout goes against the minmitar religion. running a plate is also anti-minmitar....ESPECIALLY ON A MIN SCOUT?!?!? Look up icedslayer01 dual SMG on YouTube and then tell me how pointless it is. And constructive criticism cause what you just said not helping. Dual SMG is not pointless, it's just sub optimal. If you are going to Waste the knives bonus, at least run an anti shield weapon as a backup. Especially since projectiles are 15/15. Try AR/SMG on a speed and shield tanked min scout. Excellent glass cannon fit. Edit: If you put armor on a min scout again, I will come back from the grave to slap you. Speed and damps are far more useful than a ferro or reactive ever will be. If you really want armor, run a different scout.
Well sh!t. I didnt actually build the fit, it was just an idea i got from watching PS2 infiltrator videos. But now common sense and the threat have hit me, if you want to infiltrate you need all the speed you can get FACEPALM.
I run both Gal & Min scouts so, only put armor on the Gal, IMHO the best plates to use for Gal is ferro & reactive.

What the ****. I am intensely envious of your $5000 laptop (although I do wonder wtf kind of battery life it has). Mobility tied to a cord. I can use it anywhere as long as I have a power plug.lol For everything else i use my phone.
I know I could have saved a lot of money with a desktop. This I can throw in the backpack and go to a friends or go on a trip quick and easy. That to me made it worth the price.

I think the point is, if you're gonna slow the min scout down / not speed it up / not use knives....why bother with it? Far better suits out there if you're not doing those things. |

I had it on PS3 and enjoyed it a lot even tho the dev abandoned it. I would probably get payday "3" on PC as by the time I get my damn build together it will probably be a thing.

two SMG, your weapon choice, but honestly should've had NK for the bonus
flux- ok
com shield- ok com reactive- here is your problem. Speed penalty, and that will show compared to other scouts, especially ones running kincats. Stock speed on minscout is average, and a adding a penalty upon that is even worse
com damp- ok

Just going to add this bit about armor and stuff for the min scout, Parkour:
Low slots.. Low slots for the min scout are (in my humble opinion) the most treasured and precious things in dust. My low slots are worth more than a lifetime supply of officer weapons.
Why?
Damps and Kincats.
But let's forget that for a second, you want to test having a chunkier buffer of armor on a minscout. May I suggest ferros instead? If you are legitimately worried about repairing your armor, just bring a compact nanohive with you. you'll have 3 armor fill ups stocked up whenever you need. Count how often you actually use all 3 of them, then decide if you really want to give up a low slot for 1 more point of armor regen.
Personally, I always die before I can make use of armor regen. If I don't, I got REALLY lucky, and I'm not going to get lucky twice, so odds are I don't need the armor I lost for the next engagement.

Yup. I waited a whole year for it to take off. Never happened.
I'll be happy with my PC. So far the only problem is trying to get the internet to it.
Talking to some dudes at various computer stores, I was told that Cat5 cables lose 15% signal strength every 40 ft. Is this true, or was Mr. Best Buy trying to make me buy a wireless adapter (Even though they only sell the crappy thumbdrive ones)?

2x Damps and a Kincat is practically all you need unless they have more than one Proto Gal Logi spamming scans.
If you ever have to use 3x damps on a Min Scout, you need to switch to a 2x Gal scout.
Sometimes I even had to run 3x damp gal scout because squads will pull out 3x focused scan logis. This is how I know I'm loved.
Short version of "How to Scout"
1.) Spawn in suit with speed and uplinks. Survive until death.
2.) Spawn in suit with 1 damp. Play until scanned.
3.) After death or depot, switch to suit with 2 damps. Play until scanned (You normally never go past this step)
4.) Spawn in 3x damp scout and murder gal logis until they quit to save their KD/R.
5.) Play safe: 2x Damps. Feeling gutsy: 1x Damp. Repeat steps 2 (or 3) through 5 until game ends.
Running damps harms your offensive capabilities, so you ALWAYS want to run as few as possible. This is why each suit needs a 1, 2, and 3 damp set up to rotate through as needed.
In PC, typical loadout is 2x damps no matter the scout. Only go 3x on a Gal scout. Min scouts can't compete with other suits at 3x damps, so you have to switch to a gal or amarr scout, or to a different suit. I go Gal if I need to still play scout, Min Assault if I need to slay.
Hmm. I think I might write a comprehensive guide on scouting before I finally say goodbye. I'm sure it will drastically reflect my own playstyle, but I'm sure more than a few new players could benefit from it.

You can fit whatever you want on any suit. That is the beauty of Dust.
However, you start to hit a point of diminishing returns. In order to really enjoy the benefits of a reactive or ferro on a min scout, you need to run MORE than just one. If you really wanted to, you could easily run a 1x Damp, 1x Ferro, 1x Kincat Min Scout. It's damped, has a little bit more armor , combined with a good shield tank on top.
However, at this point, you must ask yourself "Can another suit do this better?".
The answer is YES. The Gal Scout can do it better. The Gal scout will be a BIT slower, but have 100 extra total HP, more rep and better eWAR. Along with better fitting space.
Putting Armor on a min scout is a dangerous path because of how it seeks to emulate the Gal scout. Normally, this would be a matter of taste, but with the Gal having better natural fitting capabilities and eWAR, the Gal scout will always win out in that fitting battle.
That is why I fervently believe that you shouldn't put armor on a min scout. Play to its strengths, don't try and turn it into a watered down Gal scout.

Tweaked my fit a bit. Decided two SMGs wasn't good. Also i overused ACR now im taking break from it.
Mk.0 BBSMG Ish Nk Fluxes Cloak Krins DM ADV sidearm DM COM shield COM CB COM damp ADV KC Flux link
285HP, around 140k ISK.
Test run. Due to the limited range and HP, forces me to pick my engagements and not stand and fight which is a really bad habit of mine. Did one skirmish on the map with the orange pipes so did more running then anything. Im a lot more observant now, still died cause i picked wrong engagements. I think i went 9/5 with almost 1500WPs.
I can see how the other fit would suck because of how much time i spent moving and seeing how that reactive would have made it worse.

BrSMG is surprisingly good, due to how much damage it has in a clip relative to other guns. It just doest stop firing.
That being said, I prefer the vanilla CR on my minja for that follow up burst when the knifing doesn't quite kill.
I run 3x shields, 2x damps, 1x kin cat on my knifing fit (need the extra damp now because of how overused the Gallogi active spammer is), Ishukone NK's, Boundless CR, stable links, ARN-18 Cloak (for navigating through open areas, as well as trying to escape after knifing one proto assault while his butt buddies scramble to find me)
