Apart from that I think a scout works only with a squad to max his and his team profits.

When I started playing this game I thought of them like a different kind of logi. Nearly useless without a team, but gives great advantage when used properly by other squadmates.
Later I discovered that the only "tool" in exchange for low survivality/slots/cpu&pg was supremacy at having radar pointers of where you're enemy is and hiding from other people's radars.
After that, active scanners happened, later cloak, which are usable by any suit so yeah...

Enough of baked rant, hope anyone understands what I'm trying to convey here.

I just have one more question..

What's scouts role in this game? (that's scout-only)

apart from almost having a heart attack running with knives in a room full of heavies when noone sees you yet? (i love that feeling)

I would say min scout is the funnest one! At least, until it's not and you start swearing. I've found some maps are horrible for the NK non-hp based suit with speed and precession with a jump mod tossed in. I love that fit but it just won't work sometimes. So I start with it and see how it goes (usually dead fairly quickly to ranged fire). I've found the cloak to be exceptionally bad with the Min Scout. You can still use it with say a gal SG scout some to cross big areas. I have another min scout fit that is more tanked with NK and a ASC. It's meant to deal with those maps where you need some range but still want the NK fun if you can lure them in. It works well sometimes but you'll spend a ton of isk since they're around 50k a pop and you'll die a lot when facing Assault suits. Who knows, maybe i just have bad fittings :) Overlord of Broman

I get torn up in my Min Scout fits when their are like 4-6 guys in the vicinity that i'm fighting and at most one other blue dot trying. Whereas with the gal scout you can be more stealthy and they cost a lot less so if you die more going 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 you don't really loose as much. Overlord of Broman

The issue is as a scout you can't be the only guy there, how can you flank if your the only guy around? My problem stems with wanting to win and always fighting over the points. Overlord of Broman

Also, the only real role scouts have left are wearing a cloak, and beating Gal Logi scans. That is pretty much it. I die a lot hacking too. I think those KDR chasers steer clear of hacking personally. Although in the one game I had today I did kill 3 because they weren't bright enough to flux the objective first. I don't think you need to be in a squad to play as a team. Nope nope, being in a squad helps though. Without the squad comms you have to kinda guess what it is the others are doing/about to do.
