I have found myself more limited in Aluminum and Oil right now than Screws. But maybe that is because early on I realized their utility, and grab up any Desk Fan and Hot Plate I can get my hands on. You can get tons of aluminum from The Institute. Just grab all their gizmos, and thingamajigs. They all weigh .5, though, so keep that in mind. Also, you can get a ton of aluminum from Sanctuary by grabbing the TV Trays. As for the oil, I just grab the handy fuels (check Graywinter, your house), any lighter, and there should be a few cans of oil in various other locations. Either way, it's chump change. Unless you're a parent that has to pay bills and care for their kid(s), I see no reason why $20 is out of reach. And even then... I dunno. No telling what the "controversial" 1.3 has in store, but I can see them not wanting us rabble rousing too loudly within earshot of critics at the same time that a new product is being launched.
