I'm now running with barely anything, though as is my companion, so we're good. I finally made it to the Glowing Sea with Piper to see if she'd actually follow and survive, and yup. She does. Weird. I dislike companion invulnerability sometimes.
At first, I had problems with ghouls, but now I just use my 10mm in vats and they're a 1 shot kill to the head. Mysterious Stranger helps, too. The legendary, or glowing ones are the problem.
Right now, I'm trying to upgrade a VATS-Enhanced Pipe Pistol to do decent damage since I like the perk it has.

Yeah, the glowing and the bloated ones are pretty tough. Haven't skilled mysterious stranger yet, but silenced sneak attack criticals work extremely well once leveled up. Point-blank shotgun blasts to the face tend to slow 'em down as well. [SPOILER ... Maybe] Speaking of Ghouls and the Glowing Sea, there's a church full of ghouls you'll likely stumble across while exploring out there. Spawns 2 or 3 legendary bads each time I visit. Great place to farm legendary gear.

sorry to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure they only are a prize for one day. it's not possible to get them on 90 characters during one day, unless you are playing on 5-6 ps3 at the same time ;)

Getting into and out of the match with logging in and what not takes minimum 30 minutes 30 minutes x 90 chars = 45 hours... we're short on 21 hours here

Yes. I just completed the main quest. Or, well, almost. I sided with the Minutemen because it has easier access to the components needed to build a certain thing to access a certain area. For the minutemen, you have to keep making damn settlements to finish the story. I don't even bother half the time. Sigh. Why can't I just have an army of synths by my side whilst fighting for the Brotherhood?
To be honest, all factions are disappointing here, and ultimately, you're forced to join one. I can't even kill everybody at the end.
Welp, time to keep killing ghouls while waiting for the DLC. Maybe muster courage to hear into the Glowing Sea again and actually kill everything in my sight. Better upgrade my heavy weapons...

Actually, I have plenty. So much, in fact, that I had to drop a few just to carry extra things I've acquired through a very clean place in FO4. Screws are pretty hard to come by.
