Nah there are some places that call it high school. Ealing 25 years ago springs to mind. But yeah, school was what you do 'til you're 16 when I grew up. In America, at least where my wife is from, school means college means University. I think some of the confusion comes from the fact that in America, going to Uni is far less of a choice than here. |

Heinrich Jagerblitzen wrote:GRIM GEAR wrote:Shotty GoBang wrote:https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1571825#post1571825
CPM Heinrich Jagerblitzen, Paraphrased: "More people use the ScR now, so there's naturally more QQ ... its not OP ... nothing has changed."
Fact: The ScR changed from dangerous in 1.5 to insta-killer in 1.6. Perhaps an inadvertent result of performance improvement or other mechanical change ... dunno, don't care, but something drastic changed. We called it in the first hours of 1.6's release. It quite literally manifested overnight. This 1.6 change to the ScR, whatever it was, is the reason why more people are using the Rifle this build.
Would someone kindly let him know he is wrong? Be gentle. Please and thank you. :-) The change of the scrambler operation skill. It use to decrease your charged shot time from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds at lvl 5 operations which had no affect on the AScR, now it reduces heat build up allowing you to get more shots off before it over heats.I think this change took place around the 1.5 patch, this operations change combined with the 1.6 hit detection is the main issue. While I appreciate your concern about my knowledge of this game, please go look again. The bonus was changed to an overheat period reduction, NOT a heat build-up reduction (which would be ridiculous, and the specific bonus that players asked CCP not to implement in the various feature request threads for the bonus change to begin with.) Quote:I would have to check how many shots I'd get off after a charged shot before over heating cause I cant remember but I know its quite a few more. Note this is without using an Amarr assault suit. Therefore, the above statement is patently false. There has been zero change to the number of shots that Scrambler Rifle can unleash before overheating, with or without an Amarr Assault suit. My previous statement still stands. Yes, hit detection improved in 1.6, but this is NOT the same as the Scrambler rifle itself changing. Many weapons now perform better in 1.6, including the AR, SMG, and Scrambler pistol. This is what is causing the frustration over TTK, but it is affecting many weapons not just the Scrambler Rifle. The overheat reduction bonus in practice really only affects the survivability of the user - not the weapon's stopping power. You have less downtime if you overheat, and most skilled players know how to avoid the overheat (or skill into the suit that avoids it). While you are correct that a change to the rifle occurred, it was hardly one that suddenly broke the weapon, compared to the generalized "buff" that most weapons received when hit detection was improved.

Ohh, I get it! /still walks away confused
In the UK, compulsory education goes up to GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education). These are finished at the age of 16. After that there are A-levels which students specialise in and only pick a few subjects. Unlike at GCSE there's no requirement to study things like Maths and English. It generally takes 2 years for students to complete A-levels, coming in two parts - AS levels and A2 levels. You have a separate grade for your AS and A2s, but your AS results count towards your A2 results.
Normally people take between 3-5 A-levels - the most common configuration being 4 AS levels and 3 A2 levels. You normally need relevant A-levels to get into university/college to study for a degree.
Still confused? That's alright. The successive Secretaries of Education seem to delight in making things overly complicated. I'm told there's a new setup in the works that introduces a complicated web of pre-requisites for various subjects, although I've finished my A-levels so it doesn't matter to me anymore.
