From my perspective, the match played very smoothly for the first half and seemed to degrade from that point forward. Toward the end, my screen was refreshing about once per second and I was unable to even open menus. Found the lag to be equally bad both inside and outside the city. Spawned in our ground spawn at the very end of the match to try to get the warbarge menu up; it was even laggy way out there with no one else around.
On a positive note, we damn near won anyway :-)

I'd say we did pretty strong for the first 3/4s. Was really only the last 1/4 when things went real bad.

Remember to leave battle and then deploy right back in. Fixes lag almost every time. Try it next time. |

For me, it got worse and worse as the match progressed. At first, there was no lag. After a few minutes, there was some lag but still manageable. Toward the end of the match, couldn't move, shoot or even open menus.

Jolly mentioned that this works. He also mentioned that logging off/on or restarting the application isn't good enough. If you're short a virgin to sacrifice, you need reset the PS3.
I ran 480p and logged off/on prior to match.
Jolly ran 480p and turned PS3 off/on prior to match.
Jolly experienced little-to-no lag.

Pre PC I always log off with dust functionality. It doesn't prevent lag but has a decent chance of reducing the chances of it. The problem I have sometimes is deciding when to leave battle and redeploy since my links will vanish and you miss a minute or two. You also can't easily get back in your squad now either and if your squad lead some poor sod gets it who might not be the best candidate. So if the lag is frustrating but not 'soul crushing' I sometimes rough it out. |
