I seriously doubt there's a Skype app for the PS3, it just doesn't have the RAM for it, let alone for running it while a game's running. 3rd party VOIP programs are just that, they move communications to another platform (usually on PC) for organizational and clarity purposes. I don't know if my mic always goes in and out like that the way it did in the video you just posted, but stuff like that basically never happens on things like Teamspeak. Skype is **** for VOIP though, I only suggested it for the lovely chatroom/messaging system it has.
I don't know anything about hosting an IRC channel but there are some IRC services which allow you to host your own, I've used Mibbit before and it's decent enough.

I always expect to lag regardless server region, mine or otherwise. Imagine my surprise to find no lag whatsoever on my Alt after experiencing "the usual" lag on my Main. Thought it possible (albeit unlikely) that I might lag only a little 'bit while roaming with the lag-free account.

Especially with the EWAR and movement changes, they will be like scouts, minus the cloak, which they still kind of get a bonus to if I am not mistaken.

Logis are looking the most promising in this update, i have already been using the Amarr Logi because of it's Uplink bonus. I think they day of the Logi is coming back.
