I think at this point, especially with the addition of Acquisition and matchmaking changes, we cannot afford any more changes to how queues work. The playerbase is spread too thin already. And as much as it pains me to say it, we NEED the stompers. They make up a very large percentage of our remaining playerbase. If all they do is play in groups, and you make it hard to do that, they'll just end up moving on to different games.

Look at the historical graphs. There was clearly some kind of problem with data collection on a few things near the end of May, namely regarding the CR, RR and all dropsuits (though the effect is most visible for Assaults), which has skewed the Tryhardinator. The GEK does usually rank in the top 2-3, though, I would image due to the fact that many newer players default to the AR just because of the name.

I think its the PS4 version of dust.........hopefully. Still waiting on that dust port that will never happen.
Anyway, on topic: Sadly quitting out has been a problem since Replication. People just don't like to get stomped on by an ADS For those who were in the old PRE E3. You will remember that dropships were incredibly powerful. Seems things come in a circle after all.
There does need to be a little more incentive for people to stick it out. ISK has always been a factor, sometimes I wish ISK wasn't in this game. Some people have billions while others have a hard time using a standard fit full time. The problem is that the rich get richer and at some point it doesn't really effect their play style.
PS. Been chatting with Mo occasionally, he is doing well
PS2. I keep up to date on Dust via BioMassed, sounds like things are still progressing well. I imagine smaller squad sizes would help the Mu and the platoon option will be quite nice for larger groups. I haven't had time to read the last 100 pages. I will assume it was usual banter, spreadsheets and always on-topic discussion.

Check again in a few days, G Clone, who I'm a) guessing is G Torq and b) certainly seems to manage that site has suggested there is a metric that has been stored permanently messing up the figures. He tweaked something to get fresh data so I guess we'll see.

Pretty much nothing. I don't think anyone expects Dust to actually grow in its current state; as much as I love the PS3 people don't care about it as much these days, and they certainly don't care about a flawed gem tucked away somewhere in the Playstation Store. Dust has fundamental problems which can't be fixed no matter how many patches we get. It would take a gargantuan marketing effort (and a healthy dose of miracles) to grow the playerbase at this point.
The ultimate short-term goal for us and the dev team is either a stable playerbase (which is still a very lofty goal) or as slow a decline as possible. This all sounds very damning, but I think given the current attitude towards Dust among the higher-ups at CCP that we'll see our little game get moved to greener pastures some time in the future. The odds of that happening, as well as the time and circumstances, depend on Dust's success in the short term. So I think it's better to focus on realistically achievable things than on big, grand changes.
Sadly that probably means no meta-locked queue for me
