So I had a noob/Alzheimer's moment today.
While I was waiting on FW to que, I was looking at my fits, particularly my basic Gal Scout. I kept thinking, man, this thing is harder to fit than my minja.
Then I realized I had it only at level 2 racial, and was trying to fit an advanced cloak.
I removed the cloak, and suddenly had a lot more room for fitting things.

30 seconds for the up until you are down to like 20 or so then it is a like 5 seconds lol

You can run around looking for stragglers to kill.
Hack random things (not objectives to give away your position), and make off with some serious ISK.

Oh, we didn't make it fun for them, but they stayed.
They blew themselves up multiple time racing LAVs.
I think at the end my team mate had pulled out a tank and killed a couple.

I already read somewhere that you can only edit it when you first create the fit.
okay fine...
But.. it wont even let me do that???
It lets me click on the yellow items... but it doesnt show the usual "replace/blah/blah" stuff. It just goes straight into assets...
and then when I click on a different item.. it shows the cpu/power usage change.. but the item does not actually change!! ?? !

Nah. I remember 2 instances of 16v0 back in m 1.7 days.
It was a competition of who could rack up the most WP's while being unable to kill anyone.

You can't ever edit them. There was a glitch when the APEX were introduced where people could fit them with anything, despite the obvious intention of preventing that. Good lord. They were obviously fixed.

yeah been there done that.
Odd thing is, some days.. or even some weeks.. i'm good at a particular style.. but then I suck.
So... play another style!
I rotate around:
a) running around hacking things
b) sniping
c) shotgunning
d) tanking
e) scranbler rifle
f) knifing
just remmeber.. some maps.. and some buildings.. are more conducive to certain styles than others.
ONce you get a "lucky" run. try to remember which area it was

When all else fails, I run a double damp'd shotgun GalScout with an Active Scanner. Find and flank the stragglers. Avoid the herd. Commit to 1v1 engagements only where the odds are heavily in my favor.

^ This is really good advice. Sometimes the playstyle you want to play won't work. For instance, if the entire enemy team is moving as a bigass blob, you've pretty much no chance of shanking or shotgunning anyone and getting away with it. So do something else.
Sniping is a good (albeit frustrating) option. Another option to run an Assault suit and stick with friendlies. Another option (especially if you're getting steamrolled) is to use your scout to get uplinks behind enemy lines or somewhere safe, then run around hacking things.
