I think Llast, Pseudo, and I need to do some training on how to lose ISK. I run std fits and fits under 30 and 40 K and lose isk sometimes. I even lost 300k running Adv or lower fits. I could REALLY blow some ISK on proto fits.

Tried out the knifes, didn't get a single kill with them. Domination communications map. They got pushed out and never tried to actually get back in the gates. X(
Did try out h1z1 though. So flippin fun. Except the dieing i've done that a good bit. Best moment: looting some houses, see a guy coming around the corner of one of the houses near, he pauses as he looks my way so i know I have his attention, Continuing to loot a trash can outside a house pretending I don't see him, I finished and duck inside the house, waited on the dude to come inside and run past the room i was waiting in.
I prepare to attack, all I had on me was a flash light, blackberries, some sticks, and XD a combat knife. I run out of the room right at the dude in the motorcycle helmet holding a pistol in his hand as he searches rooms for me. I start spamming the left click button as I near, he turns and shoots me 3 or 4 times as I fall.
He says, wtff he came at me with a stick! Yep, I scrolled past the knife and went onto a stick.
Tldr: 1st bit of combat in h1z1, I set a trap, and failed a stick up.
No Safety Net.

Tried running the Ishukone Sniper Rifle today ...
The headshot multiplier is great, but it is damn near impossible to line up a headshot on a moving target. If a target's wiggling at longish range, I'll miss him 3 out of 5 times aiming center mass. Aim for the head and miss 5 for 5. It is total a crapshoot and comes down to pure chance.
So aim for the body, right?
If it's a Scout you're shooting at, you hit him once then he begins to evade. With a little luck, you'll hit him again and get the kill before he reaches cover. But if it is anything else, you have to hit him again and again and often again and again. This isn't so bad a requirement with the Tac SR, but the Ishukone fires too dang slow and kicks too dang hard for a weapon which requires consecutive shot placement to kill.
Not sure what to suggest. Less wiggling and inertia on directional change would help. Perhaps better zoom fidelity and an improved fire interval as well?

I run fits that cost about 30k on average and slowly but surely fill my wallet as a result.
Though there were a couple weekends a while back where I ran nothing but all proto minjas... I lost so much. It was so worth it.

When I have a different tool that I've been working on, on and off, I plan on making a frontend similar to protofits just for my own purposes.
If you are a little more tech savy you could use it in it's current state, but for now it's just a simple raw JSON server and command line tool. SDETool2
e: I also plan on using some of the stuff I can "dig" up to provide more numbers and adding a good amount of tools to allow people to compare fits.
I might begin working on a couple prototypes of the fitting page.

Perhaps better zoom fidelity, reduced sway, and/or an ever-so-slightly faster rate of fire?
You need the snipers Mantra.
Be patient.
Wait for the kill to present itself.
WAIT. They will eventually stop moving, or be wounded enough to finish off. One Shot. One Kill.
Headshot or bodyshot, your goal is to eliminate in one shot.

Idea:Firewall for objectives and Installations
Base idea, adding firewalls to friendly objectives/installations, therefore making them take longer to Hack.
Ground rules, not to be placed on a turning objective, not to be so high it makes hacking impossible for the other party, can only be placed once by one merc, expires after Hack.(thinking a 30% absolute)
Level 1: 5% decreased hacking speed.
Level 3: 10% decreased hacking speed.
Level 4: 15% decreased hacking speed.
2.5% decrease per level in systems hacking (or new skill?)
With code breakers:
Basic code breaker: +3% decreased hacking speed.
Advanced: +5% decreased hacking speed.
Prototype:+7% decreased hacking speed.
2% decrease per level. (odd wording but you get it.)

Also since counter hacking is already insanely long nobody is going to bother doing it when you have all these extra things slowing you down further.
Hacking and objective ownership is fundamental to the game, it's more important than killing.
Something like this could restrict hacking and counter hacking to really just Min Scouts. As I said the plan was to disallow use on a turning objective, so not an issue in this regard.
The idea is to make units with codebreakers more important to the team, you don't HAVE to be a Minja to fit a codebreaker after all. Just like I don't need to use a plasma cannon on a galmando.
As you said hacking and objective taking is an important part of our battlefield, so why do we omit having counters and roadblocks as we do today?
Specialization my friend, something special to be good at, never a bad thing yes?

Suggestion for changes to Active Scanner mechanics:
* Make Active Scanners have a cap similar to Cloak Fields * While active, active scanners increase its users Scan Profile by xx% * For each X.x sec an Active Scanner is scanning down a Suit it will be visible for Y.y sec after the scanning stops * Suits do not become visible on the tac-net until they have at least 2 secs of 'built up' scanned down state * Multiple Active Scanners do not add 'scanned down' state any quicker than 1 Active Scanner would * Dampeners reduce the Y.y sec after having been scanned down (for example Y.y*0.75 for a complex dampener) * Cloak Fields increase the rate of which the 'scanned down' state ticks down |

In order to negate scannerinas the active scanners would only add 'scanned down' state for each full uninterrupted X.x sec that they have the scanee within their scan field.
Edit: In order to prevent huge build ups of 'scanned down' state by multiple scanners there is a limit to Y.y secs of SD state being added each second. |

I've been "spun on" by Assaults I was hunting so many times since Falloff. If they're away from the herd, they're typically on the move. And if they're on the move, I'm on their radar for a long time trying to get into knife range from behind.
So they spin, effectively run backwards and hipfire. 100% chance of success. Ideally, that chance of success will be more like a 50:50 toss up post Echo.
Tough to predict though without seeing it in action. I think it'll be fine, but if it feels broken I'll be the first to admit it.

Another option would be to tweak Falloff to give units more advanced warning of an incoming flank attack.
