I'm very much hyper-critical of social sciences mostly because now they're more statistical models than real science's facts.

real science: repeated testing shows our experiment to have the same conclusion every time, because we have a control and limit outside factors

social science: repeated testing shows it's 70% accurate which is good enough to make accusations into the nature of this subject. I have include no way to distance myself from personal biases in these tests but it's good enough to pubish a paper on it and call myself an expert.

Just double checking, you realize that Nova Knives are a Sidearm and therefore benefited by Sidearm Damage Modifiers, right? The difference is only 10 points of damage between Scout and Medium frame so, IMO you're better off using myofibril stimulants on a medium frame. It's an alt, i haven't so many SP, i'm trying things, myofibril are another thing i want to try, nothing in common with NK, i know damage mod are for NK and myofibril only affects melee, i just want to try them.

BTW i want to try it on my scout for the better EW stats.

 End of an era.

And also- knives are definitely louder, or the sound is coming through from behind. I can hear when people are charging, swining behind me. Pre-Charlie that was not the case. Or at least, not as prominent as it is now.

That's reassuring. I thought I was just losing my touch but I've noticed people seem to be getting alerted too.

 It is definitely a classic.

If you really want to get into some good psychology that is well written, not to dry, and very informative, I would read "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahnemen. It is fantastic and really sheds a light on the way we think, and why.

I also recommend Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. I really like anything he writes, but that is just me.

Just finished reading "Spy the Lie" which was co-written by Philip Houston, Michael Floyd, and Susan Carnicero (Former CIA Officers)

An excellent book on how to detect deceit, and how to learn the right questions to ask when trying to find the truth.

For Example: If you think that someone has stolen some money from your house, you don't go up and ask them "Hey, what did you do with my money?"

You phrase it as a question with implied meaning. "Is there any reason why so-and-so would say that they saw you in my house last week?"

There's more detail than that, but it has a really cool system and methodolgy on guiding conversations in the right direction. It's interrogation without them knowing about it. Since they don't feel threatened, they are more open to the procedure.

Picked it up at Barnes and Nobels for like $10. Worth the read.

Of course if you run straight at your target you will not get anything good out of your cloaking device.

That book has been on my reading list for awhile. I am glad to hear it was worth it.

 It is!

It teaches you the system, and gives several court examples showing how they work. You start to see how using this method gives little red flags that they might be lying. Once you start seeing two or three, it's like a klaxon goes off in your head. It screams "Deceit".

It also uses the OJ Simpson case to show how asking the wrong questions can be downright detrimental to the process. They also give you the Jerry Sandusky case and Congressman Anthony Weiners case to close the book. They just say "Read this and come to a conclusion." Afterwards, they go and show you their own report. It's scary how effective it is. You read this and all these red flags go up, and you notice where the investigator asks the wrong questions. You think about how you would handle it.

It's a great book. It's really cool being able to watch interrogations/examinations on the news and to pick up on what they're doing and notice deceit when it happens.

The book also stresses that it's not fool-proof. It really goes out of it's way to tell you that nothing in this book will amount to "Seeing x and saying "That's it, cuff him, we've got this bagged". " It's made to detect deceit and to guide conversations into the path that has the best chance of revealing the truth.

It's great, you really should read it.

Fair enough. I have my own wasted SP so I know how much that sucks.

If you wanna wind up turning your scout into your main, though, I recommend running with the best damps you can, and improving them as soon as you can, and behaving as if you were still cloaked. I took all three ewar skills to 3 then went for cDamps. Only thing that confounded me was the CalScout who saw me and the GalScout I couldn't see. Now it's the Amarr scout that'll see you.

If you can avoid them, you're golden. Granted, that are one or two maps with a killing field minus 'hills' to run behind as you travel, but still. Try running a few matches without the cloak and you'll be better at running with the cloak. It keeps one honest, imo. ymmv
