Maybe such a status would be diminished when you take into account very good players who have only recently left the game, but I refuse to believe that people who played in beta/early builds were infinitely better than the players of today. The game has changed to such a degree that it is impossible to conjecture the ability those players would have if they actually fired up the game today.

So yes, you could be elite.

I don't think they were infinitely better, but they probably had a lot better gungame.
See, people who are beasts at shooting stuff leave this game very quickly, as it becomes obvious that framerate/lag/glitches contributes much more to the outcome of a 1 on 1 then their skill (and I don't mean SP here).

Lately I've came back to playing FPS on PC. (Dust is my first console FPS, I've been playing on PC my whole life)
Funny thing is, I opened up a game on MAX settings which was too much for my PC, but couldn't know that before going into a match.
Movement and aiming felt very similar to Dust.
Then I changed settings to get ~60 fps.
Game changed dramaticaly, suddenly I could aim where I wanted, perfectly land headshots, track all my targets, check my surroundings without problem, etc.

To get things more into perspective - as I previously stated, I was a PC gamer whole my life and used kb/m combo ALWAYS.
When I started playing dust I did it on kb/m (it's support was one of the causes why I even launched this game) but then something happened.
Overnight I started losing 1 on 1, even when having a drop on someone, couldn't get a headshot from 5 meters, while before I could pull of 2 in a row mid-air (that good ol ScP).
I'm not even going to start ranting about "killing a guy behind a wall glitch"...

And you know what I did? Started using dualshock.
Once again I could kill people, land headshots (even when not aiming at head -_- ), track targets in CQC.

So how's that possible? A vet PC gamer having better aim on a dualshock than kb/m after playing 2 days?

Do you think there is someone left playing dust for the competition?
I really don't think so, all is left are
people with hopes that this POS will finaly ammount to something,
people that are "playing" the game on forums, chats, etc,
people too cheap to buy a ps4 or any decent rig or even a game for ps3
people stroking their egos stomping everything in sight,
useless blueberries because they haven't got out of the academy yet.

Sorry for long post (rant) and terribad english ;)

Sooo , who is playing dust on new years eve? lol

 I miss obsidian fallout.
Old Fallout best Fallout. Fallout 4 is fun, but I found myself getting sleepy while playing it. Too redundant? Intend to go back and finish it off, but enjoying the heck out of MGS:V right now.

Old FO and new FOs are entirely different games in the first place. That being said, I really liked the 3rd one, and it's still the best one in my opinion. There's no beating having to grow up and building a background for your character, or visiting that VR world.

When it comes to fallout my favorite ones are 2 and New Vegas, I guess it's that desert feel :)

Haven't played 4th one yet, but it looks like a lot of shooting and less talking. Still waiting waiting for better rig to check it out for myself, but it's not so high on my to-play list ;)

Oh and if someone likes futuristic-magic-turnbased-reading stuff I highly recommend trying out Shadowrun:Dragonfall Directors Cut.

The story is still better than Skyrim, right? I mean that's an incredibly low mark to hit, it has to get past that.

I thought Skyrim had an amazing story, unless you're only talking about the main quest. The main quest was still pretty epic though.

Best DUST 514 Nova Knives Montage ?

So I think I've found the best nova knife montage there is on YouTube ( in my opinion )
By a japanese player called youmu narikirisan, while using different classes ( light, medium, heavy )

If this isn't the best vid, which is it ?
If you tell me it isn't fully NK, well, go tell that to the japanese Youtubers, they've always had this way of making their montages.

 Well
 You see guys.

I have fallen in love with it again.

Little irritating being such a low level again. Money is no problem though seeing as the White Xmas heist gives me a good boost in very short time. (I was the lowest level and the only one taking advantage of the ziplines)

Anyway, if any of you guys were thinking of buying it, I recommend it.
