I tried yesterday, only could play at 570 or something like that lowest 1. I got a turtle beach PX21 a few years ago: http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/headsets-legacy/ear-force-px21/48Lots of wires, if you can afford it get a wireless headset (though check with Shotty as he always seems to be charging his :-p ) but if you can stand wires trailing all over the place, this one is fine by my standards. 2. 576p rings a bell with me. Can't remember what other options there were. might check tonight.
Owned Turtle Beach P21 and PX21 prior to my current Sony Pulse. P21s failed within 8-9 months of purchase; sent 'em in for warranty replacement. Received PX21s a month or two later. PX21s lasted longer, but they eventually failed in the exact same manner that P21s failed; the small wire which leads from headset to a volume control box shorted over time with regular (careful) use.
I've owned my current Sony Pulse headset for a couple years no, and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. Paid $150USD. Better sound quality, more durable, and much more comfortable than previous. Only drawback to speak of is that they only run a few hours on a full charge.

As in Quafe PLC? What sort of price are you looking for? I've a couple BPOs, some ISK, and a whole load of officer gear.
Also I don't know about PS3 dedicated headsets, but I've got an absolutely fantastic pair of headphones that I always recommend, the Logitech G430. Super comfortable, great sound, and I've had them for a year and a half with no technical issues. The only downside is PS3 audio can't play through them, but the mic works just fine with the PS3. Apparently they only cost $40 on the website right now

Retrieve supplies, get back to base. Learned how to cover sectors in a column and spot ambushes. They put me on the gun in the front car So, we basically spotted ambushes just in time to drive right into them guns blazing. I think there was only one where we managed to detect and set up from a distance and do work with the 50 cals. Was overall pretty fun. Got shot a lot, never died, again. Actually managed to take down around 5 or 6 targets myself. When all but me and squad lead was injured, I worked with him to clear a town by ourselves. Was pretty fun. Lots of covering and moving smart. We actually failed the mission because we got "Arma'd". Driving on a road, hit a tiny bump and blew all 8 of our military grade wheels at once. We said "SCREW IT" after that and called in a chopper to get the goods. We were pretty done afterwards, since we kept losing people to disconnects or just having to leave. Still pretty fun, learning a lot as I go. Dude! I started checking out youtube videos of Arm.. it looks so fun. Can you knife other players? Also- keep it coming. Can you capture?
Depending on the mods, you can have knives. Group I'm in doesn't. We like to shoot people BEFORE it gets to knife range.
If stealth is needed, they use their Special Ops forces, who typically like to just dome the guy with a silenced pistol.
There isn't true "Capture", like objective control. This is Arma. No little spinny objective light and points after having enough people there. You capture a point by sitting people on it and shooting anyone who tries to take it. You have no way of knowing if an enemy controls a point other than observation. Which is why we have sniper teams and reconnaissance. There are "capture" game modes, however. Invade and Annex is one, where a large group attempts to capture the entirety of Altis at once.
Maps are huge. You aren't told where you are on a map, I hope you brought a GPS or know where you are via landmarks. All locations are given through bearings and co-ordinates. Altis is huge, clocking in at almost 270 km2. Stratis is the smaller sister island, and is only 20 km2.
There are no carebears in Arma. Just the well trained and the dead. As an example, I'll use yesterdays mini op. We tried driving through an ambush, when my driver yelled "HIT" and I heard one of our tires pop. Since nobody else can hear us, I have to go to my radio to tell the convoy. We bring ourselves off the street and park in front of a house for cover. GTFO and set up defenses.
So the car we are protecting hung back when it heard ambush. The other humvee came up to support. They dismount and engage on foot as well (Humvee's are actually sh*t for protection. Bullet proof glass my ass.).
We decide to try and bug out with the other squad as support. Hop in gunner spot, waiting for driver. About 10 seconds pass. I hop out and sure enough, driver is dead next to car. Well sh*t. Squads break off, and they send the medic to us.
Now it gets interesting, we are both in cover, and there is enemies around, but we aren't really sure WHERE. I see movement from the north and yell contact and start firing. Drop target, all good. We connect with other squad via radio and then inform each other of our positions to avoid friendly fire. I mention more movement to the north and ask if we have friendlies in that area. Negative, open fire.
Chaos and confusion are only beaten by training and communication. No carebears here, marksmanship is mandatory. Idiots aren't allowed on ops. You play smart and careful or you get yourself and the whole team killed.
I love it. I don't have to deal with idiot blueberries anymore

CCP doesn't appear to have rejected anyone at all. Not even the guy who just popped up and went 'hola' and that was the sum total of his application.
There's some mutterings about BAMM getting rejected but that strikes me as typical BAMM drama.

I think "average" is the important word here For example
2 people with ~40 ms 1 guy with ~100 ms 1 guy with ~500 ms
Average = 170 ms..
That's the problem with "average" and "statistically"

Yeah, but in other games, people with high ping get kicked and encouraged to play in the right regional server.
I want to see mean, meadian, mode, and range for ping on these serves. I bet you the range is absolutely INSANE.

That's only if you calculate average using the mean, which is **** for dealing with outliers. If you calculate the median of those numbers then it comes out to a nice and even 70 ms. I've never understood why people always use the mean for averaging, it's so bad

Because the calculations are easier understandable by people who "don't care about math" ;) But your totally right.
Anyways, I wonder if ANYONE has under 50 ms..
Apart from that, I experience similar issues in the past on PC. Few years back I had a horrible rig but a very good conection. When I was playing multiplayer games which my PC barely could handle my ping would spike at "slideshows" to few hundred ms, while at "normal" (low frame per second) gameplay it would be around 150-200 , while on my brothers PC the same game, same server etc -50-90 ms
So yeah, I guess no ISP can help you if your game is running few frames per second.
