I have a genuine moral issue here.

Now, I hate rail rifles.

If I use them myself, I become even more of a terrible human being.
If I sell them to other players, it puts some in circulation.
If I sell them to NPCs, it gives me ISK for them which implies they have a positive value.

I have a genuine moral quandary because I just want to destroy them.

Send them to an EVE character. Didn't someone do that when simple trading came in and whatever they sent disappeared into the ether? Arkenai would probably like them.

* Reasonably confident that the match was a fluke. Breach cannot be trusted. Also, need a new sidearm. Quickly switching to bolt after first blast almost always fails. Half the time it pulls the breach back up. The other half, the bolt doesn't spool. Have to pause briefly during weapon swap :/

The Shotty Challenge

Gotta say this char feels different - I would expect to see red dots at a much further distance in this suit. Hmmm...it's been a while so maybe it's rose-tinted. That shield recharge though!

Anyway...I didn't pay attention to what else you fitted Shotty or what mode you ran, so I queued for SkirmBushAcq and ended up in Ambush OMS...for all of five minutes. Looks like the breach is doing at least 420 damage - and dayum the headshot bonus is 180% according to HUD looking at a shielded suit.

Felt on target, not used to the RoF but it didn't feel off. Would've been awesome if I hadn't missed that last shot on the frogsuit (that ****) but hey ho. Might do a full game with it later.

Kudos! I've had zero luck in Ambush with mine so far. The only good match I've had was a Skirm. Definitely a good practice loadout; not much room for error :-)

First game was a success i guess. Game of dom. Went 12/13, ran with a couple of corp mates. We lost but i don't care about the W/L in this challenge. Will try solo Ambush in a little bit.

Vahzz you're at a disadvantage not running the C-I with Cal scout skills maxed. Just sayin.

Question for those that have tried the newest hotfix:

Do you notice that it is easier to use a rifle with a scout when getting the drop?

Before, in my experience, I would get the drop, get the first burst in, then the suit (usually an assault or scout) would wiggle through the rest of my shots, and I was pretty SOL.

Or is it, since we no longer can wiggle as well, that the HP advantage is still too much (when dealing with Assaults primarily) to use rifles vs Alpha weapons when getting the drop?

Haven't tested opening up at mid-range yet. I assume that it's still a bad idea unless tanked; will test though :-)

I have yet to die in my bricked AmSent, that has got to say something....

Over a course of 4 battles, i have not gotten a single death in my AmSent. I have killed sentinels in my Militia Shotty suit, but I have yet to die in my sentinel. THAT HAS SERIOUSLY GOT TO SAY SOMETHING. That is just crazy.

Died 3 or 4 times to the same AM Sent yesterday. To be fair, he had a rep slave and was running an officer HMG. To make matters worse, CQC framerate was terrible (so I figured I missed).

It is much easier to knife someone if you move with them rather than at them....be close enough to knife but if they move back also move back. Works quite well, especially those logi's that never stop moving
