One thing I would suggest, and I find helps me when I do it, is to not aim for them straight on, but aim to the side of them, or, if they have spotted you, to go ahead and Raptor OVER them, doing a 180 in the air, and knifing them as they back into you. Even if it is kind of off, it throws them off as you are not where they thought you were, and it is now it is a matter of who can pick up whom in their FOV first. And often you don't even need to see them to knife them as your knifing range is greater than your FOV. This also goes for run by knifings. I have more success if I imagine their is a person to the side, or behind of your target, depending on how you approach, and aim for that imaginary target with your body, and then as you swing your knives pivot towards your actual target. Its great for keeping your movement fluid, plus if your enemy makes any sudden movements, which often happens, it leaves you with a better margin of error than if you were running directly at them. Gonna start using a mouse for Dust, since I only have a game-stop ps3 controller full of dead zones. note #1: whichever weapon you find works best for YOU. note #2: I hear PS4 controllers work with PS3 as long as you keep em wired. might want to go that way instead. That way it can be worth your while to buy a "new" proper controller. I love using my DS4 for my PS3. Also, you can play with it wirelessly now. I don't, however, because you have to use the PS button to turn on the controller, which if you have a PS4, will turn that on, so I just go wired.
