Dropship sounds are the hardest to make any sense out of. Charge Sniper rifles are the easiest. Oh yeah and of course (looking at Dreis) - how the hell can you sniper hunt without sound? That is one of my favourite moments in a game - when you broke off from objective-based strategy, went a-hunting, and heard that beautiful noise. It's like...the smell of blood in the water to a shark. It gets the juices flowing...the thrill of the hunt, the anticipation of the kill....** wait this is just a game...**

I can get distance from sound, but direction is so hopeless I might as well turn off the speakers. It's not so bad with land based things because there's only a certain area is can be in. Dropships are a pain because they can be literally anywhere and sound no different. What're you looking at me like that for? I'll shank you I will.

TBH I can't hear footsteps anyway, so that point is moot. Sound... It really doesn't make much of a difference, IMO. If anything, I perform better when I'm listening to music. I also got a couple sweet shots in, and it was good experience dialing in longer range shots. Especially since I was using what would be the "Specialist" equivalent in Dust, as opposed to tactical.
