These have me a little less concerned about a lack of Oculus titles. Valkyrie and the Rift itself might both be awesome, but the two alone don't justify that lofty price tag (in my mind, at least). One good game plus a bunch meh games won't cut it.

It's VERY fun. Tough as nails though... up there with Dust and Red Orchestra 2 as one of the hardest FPS games I've ever played. But there's nothing at all like it on the market right now.

It's not the suit's fault it has crap EWAR. It only has 2 lows and the only EWAR in highs is precision enhancers, which you need at least 3 CPX of to pick up a scout with a single damp on.

1) Will mods will be enough to move Rift off of shelves, or will it need more titles specifically designed for it?

Oh I think VR will beba gimmick for the first year or so while people get a grip on the tech. Mods are a pretty nice thing on PC....not something that will happen with console. So I think mods could sustain VR until it gets games designed specifically for it....aka valkaryie.

VR is here to stay as long as it doesn't cause massive motion sickness.
I don't plan on buying VR for at least a year. $600 is too much. But plenty of other PHI guys have Already preordered it.

Absolutely agree. The suit is not to blame. The CalScout is supposed to be a competitive EWAR unit. If straight HP-tanked loadouts are more viable in the current meta than "appropriately fit" EWAR-oriented loadouts, then something's wrong with HP Tank, EWAR or the current meta. Or all three.

That's the problem. New games are being held back by old tech. Think about it this way, if the PS3 is able to keep up, how much is the PS4 version behind held back.
I too am annoyed that I have to pay to play with my buddies and I don't really see many benefits from paying vs free on PS3.
