There's your problem

You can't test the limits of suit while rolling with a stompsquad. And I don't much care for stomping.

Match 10 - 17/3 (5 assists). Good fight. Both sides fairly well balanced. Found that the GEK works pretty well on the GalLogi.

Match 11 - 5/2 (5 assists). Boo train map. Ran GEK again. It isn't as good as the CR, but it isn't bad. Switching back to RS-90. Still have Otrera and Keeriam's alt on board. Picked up 3 random berries from squadfinder ... queuing up for another Ambush.

Tonight, Cross, Kaeru and Friends had two full squads. Wait times for their preferred faction (GA/MN) were too long, so they (we) opted to q-sync CA. We got into matches almost immediately, and each was a hard-fought, good time. There were several mid career guys and few old dogs with us, but there was nothing abusive or stompy about it. These were good fights against good mercs. It also occurred to me for the first time that q-syncing for CA or AM would be an excellent way to practice for PC.

It never crossed my mind that q-syncs might actually make for better FW matches, which is exactly what my experience was tonight.

Match 12 - 16/0 (2 assists), but it doesn't really count as Scotty put my ragtag squad up against up against what seemed to be unorganized randoms.

Match 13 - 6/3 (6 assists). Don't you love it when start-of-match deploys the enemy up high, and your team two entirely different locations down low?

EWAR Logi passives are indeed very strong, even without range extenders. I scan virtually all units at close range (8m). To beat my mid range scans (19m), GA/CA Scouts need 1 damp, MN/AM Scouts need 2 and Assaults need 3x. At long range (38m), I still pick up undampened MN/AM Scouts.

Further, I've got enough HP/Reps to take a lick and still return to cover safely. I'm winning most of the fights I pick; the few times I've lost so far were due to running out of ammo and fumbling for a non-existent sidearm. All that to say, the suit is far more combat viable than any EWAR Scout I've ever run. I'd argue that the suit makes for a better passive recon unit than either the CA or AM Scout. Its passive scans are more-or-less the same as a Recon Scout's, and -- even without its extremely potent active scans -- the GalLogi's survivability, combat capability and utility are superior.

I expected the GalLogi to be the ultimate in recon due to active scans; I didn't expect it to be this good at passive scans as well.

What did I miss?

You should have seen my face when I saw a bit of pink.. I hastily put it back thinking they mixed my package with some wardrobe for a matari brothel. But the sad truth was - it was in fact my dropsuit that I so long awaited and fantasized about.

Then it struck me! This is a suit for doing the REVERSE job. I'm running around in shiny pink, preferably with a swarm launcher throwing av nades at infantry in an ambush, just to let everyone know theres an idiot that's waiting to get it.

Not running damps! Recheck the math with 3 precision enhancers; Logis make for great passive scan units. Combined that with the GalLogi's 21dB Active Scans, and this suit puts my pre-Charlie Warden to shame.

Nobody gonna touch this? Anyone? Seriously? Mollerz? No?

Don't see how they make for better p.scan units than their Gal Assault equivalents. Both those suits have the same base precision (45dB) and three highs available. Only way I can see an advantage is taking radius into account, and unless you do happen fit a few RAs, is it much of a difference?

I now have a dedicated Minassault and I've never gotten so many matches in a row with 30+ kills since 1.7.

RR has too long of a spoolup time, too long of a delay between shots, and too much shakiness for me to hit anything wit the stupid thing.
And that's WITH some serious skillpoints invested in it. Ugh.

So, thats why I I am now redundantly doing FW, for amarr. At least *that* scout BPO gets a scrambler rifle.

you know.. actually *USEFUL* stuff. Unlike the hawk scout scanner, which is also useless, as mentioned in the above thread.


Edit: also: +110(?) armor, vs +66 shields. Oh and Reactive Plate so +1 armor regen...
