It's generally hard not to stomp with the quality of scrubberries in this game though.

We got into matches almost immediately, and each was a hard-fought, good time. There were several mid career guys and few old dogs with us, but there was nothing abusive or stompy about it. These were good fights against good mercs. It also occurred to me for the first time that q-syncing for CA or AM would be an excellent way to practice for PC.
It never crossed my mind that q-syncs might actually make for better FW matches, which is exactly what my experience was tonight.
excellent. I thought you only did gal fw.
These days, I'm queuesyncing for amarr, working towards the amarr scout BPO. (because I already got the cal scout BPO.. and it is Useless :( )
it turns out that both cal fw, and amarr fw, are actually winnable. It's all about finding the correct chat channel to get qsynced squads.
Problem is, the cal FW campaign has been so sabotaged, it is really really difficult to find a valid one. After much effort, I finally got into one, and was victorious enough to get the 100,000 WP. I shall not publicise the name on the forums.
Same goes for amarr. I was losing, losing, losing.. until I found the REAL amarr channels.

wish I had some spare sp ;)
EWAR Logi passives are indeed very strong, even without range extenders. I scan virtually all units at close range (8m). To beat my mid range scans (19m), GA/CA Scouts need 1 damp, MN/AM Scouts need 2 and Assaults need 3x. At long range (38m), I still pick up undampened MN/AM Scouts. Further, I've got enough HP/Reps to take a lick and still return to cover safely. I'm winning most of the fights I pick; the few times I've lost so far were due to running out of ammo and fumbling for a non-existent sidearm. All that to say, the suit is far more combat viable than any EWAR Scout I've ever run. I'd argue that the suit makes for a better passive recon unit than either the CA or AM Scout. Its passive scans are more-or-less the same as a Recon Scout's, and -- even without its extremely potent active scans -- the GalLogi's survivability, combat capability and utility are superior. I expected the GalLogi to be the ultimate in recon due to active scans; I didn't expect it to be this good at passive scans as well.
Logi is the worst suit for scans except for heavy frames at it's base values (50/45). It has a 5m advantage in scan radius (20m -> 25m)
How is it you factor it having very string EWAR? Just the number of slots at proto? Coz Gal Assault has the same number of slots I think, but better base values (except for radius as mentioned)

Then it struck me! This is a suit for doing the REVERSE job. I'm running around in shiny pink, preferably with a swarm launcher throwing av nades at infantry in an ambush, just to let everyone know theres an idiot that's waiting to get it.

See, the Quafe scout is actually a specialized training suit.
You put it on, then realize, "GAHH, there's no WAY I want ANYONE to see me in THIS thing!!!!"
And thus, the invisible ninja scout is born.

Match 15 - Partially played. Taking a break. Same ROFL stomp crew from earlier. Pretty annoyed at the moment.
Few things tick me off more than firing half a clip into the back and sides of a wiggle wiggler for little-if-any damage. When up against these guys, I can't help but wonder if latency plays a part in their hit detection. Either way, it'd be fantastic if wiggle wiggling while standing out in the open wasn't a suitable (if not superior) replacement to using actual cover. / rant

More time spent fighting than running around. I enjoy the fighting, and its useful for testing out the combat capabilities of various loadouts. I actually enjoy high frequency of proto gear and abundance of whatever's broken (today, that's MN Assaults and ScRs) as it makes for better "stress testing" than stomping noobs.
The only things I don't like about Ambush are (1) the 6-man stompsquad and (2) not hitting what I shoot at when up against what I believe to be suspect latency.

Don't see how they make for better p.scan units than their Gal Assault equivalents. Both those suits have the same base precision (45dB) and three highs available. Only way I can see an advantage is taking radius into account, and unless you do happen fit a few RAs, is it much of a difference? |

my main gripe being.. the main weapon.
RR has too long of a spoolup time, too long of a delay between shots, and too much shakiness for me to hit anything wit the stupid thing. And that's WITH some serious skillpoints invested in it. Ugh.
And You Cant Change Anything in the suilt.
So, thats why I I am now redundantly doing FW, for amarr. At least *that* scout BPO gets a scrambler rifle. and a scrambler pistol. and a freakin uplink. you know.. actually *USEFUL* stuff. Unlike the hawk scout scanner, which is also useless, as mentioned in the above thread.

At max skills, my range is 8,19,38 vs an Assault's 6,15,30. I find that the few meters makes a difference somehow. My CalScout's range is a little better at 9,23,45 but I get less use out of its scans. Whether with or without a squad, I get insta-gibbed when I stand my ground and fight at mid-range in my 2x precision CalScout. My Logi can take lick and give right back. This is all combined with extremely powerful Active Scans.

As tempting as it is, I don't want to call Falloff broken as it is likely the only thing keeping shotgun kill/spawn efficiency in check. Further, I suspect that Falloff would be much more bearable if the items above were addressed. There's also cloak. As an item, it is bad but I don't think it more bad than the 3 bads above. It's maybe not as nefarious as it sounds. I just like the name.
It's a spreadsheet with all forumites above 1k likes on it, with colour coding according to how I value their opinion and notes on their class, notable bias for/against, factional alignment, positions on certain topics, leaderboard stats, and a record of particularly excellent or stupid posts.
Some people are just highlighted red all the way through with 'Stupid posts - Everything ever posted' e.g. Spkr, Dreis, and Taka.
EDIT: It developed out of a minor idea I had for maintaining the LUCEC banlist. I had a spreadsheet where I had people on the banlist and reasons for why they were banned and I kept adding more and more until I realised I could just revamp it and use it as an appropriately mighty tool for the Supreme Forum Warrior.
