So I got the corp together and qsynced some corp sponsored FW. Had lots of fun, got a number of good matches. Sadly i ended the night by getting kicked and loosing rank, such BS. Guess you shouldn't drop OB's in FW. Can't believe they punished me. They spawned in right after i dropped it on the point to stop the enemy advance in a really close game where I had basically done a **** load of work to make us win. Overlord of Broman

Though Pyrex has come up with a number of good ideas over the years. Aggressive, odd, often wrong? Yes. But he's also creative, informed and invested. There's a chance he'd take the role seriously and actually engage the community, rather than browbeat, suppress, ignore, and/or troll it. In my book, CPM should be all about getting the community involved, discussing problems, vetting solutions and generating new ideas. Fighting can be means to that end. So long as he was civil about it, I wouldn't mind if he fought constantly with CCP, CPM and the entirety of the forum-going community. Fights are always fun to watch; they get people involved, and they can be productive if done right. See Barbershop. I could be wrong, but I think Pyrex might be a nice guy to fight with. Then again I had drunk half a litre of port so I should probably check it again sober. The cal has slightly worse precision, but the increased scan range, in my opinion, more than makes up for that and effectively means you can still see suits that the gal can due to the increase in scan ring radii. They can run as fast as each other, tank HP as much as each other (though the cal has that gorgeous recharge). At a push the gal will stay off scans easier which we all know...didn't look into how each suit needs to be fitted to get to 20dB profile. I should probably compare proto versions of each in the same way, and look at the 20dB versions of each. I also only have experience of pubs so that's what I'm comparing it against - PC may have different requirements. Anyway after all that you're probably wondering why I specced Gal if I think Cal is better - it's because I already have Cal on an alt, so I figured I could compare in a more practical way than on paper by having one of each. Plus I have a shed load of gk.0 freebie suits to use up on my main - by the time I've ploughed through those and gotten used to it, I will likely have enough for a Cal Scout.

From what little I have seen of his videos, they just seem overly negative, at least from what I have seen recently. In all honesty, I can't even watch them. Gal has the superior dampening, which is a must for knifing, while Minjas have speed and with a shotgun don't need to worry about that inner circle. I still love nothing more than knifing a shotgunner. I honestly dislike them more than heavies, but since they are mostly scouts, I respect them more too. Former CEO of the Land of the BIind.
