You realize that Project Legion is just a continuation of Dust? It's just a sequel, BF3 is to BF4 as Dust 514 is to Legion.

I realize that dust is the second game in the eve series and that valk is the third. Battlefield and the other typical shooter games have regular new releases that are just a rehash of the same game. MMOs don't work that way. When they try, both games fail. Can you name one exception? If legion was a continuation of dust, why has it been advertised as that it will run concurrently with dust and not be the same game at all? At the same time if the two were intended to run concurrently, why would the claim have been made that legion will become the game we had all dreamed dust to be? Legion seems to me as though its a way to throw dust away when its only halfway to being the game we eexpected at launch I've been here for years and I'd like to be here for many years to come. I want to see dust become what it was advertised to be. I still have big dreams for the future of dust, and I feel that legion worshipping will not help dust grow, onlystifle any chance that it has of blossoming into the game we all were promised. Dust has so much potential, but when people ssay things like legion is to dust as bf3 is to bf4, I feel like its a bad omen. Bf4 is to bf3 as warlords is to uprising. Legion is to dust as eq2 is to eq. From what the devs have said legion will try to run alongside dust but will divide the player base and endgame will cause both games to fail and a lot of money to be lost both bybccp and by the players. I very much would rather not see that happen. Dust has a lot of room to grow. Dust has a lot of art assets being unused. Dust has some great minds behind it that could make it the best game there is or ever has been. I'd like to see that play out. I'm not ready to give up on dust. I believe in it. I think it could bring people back to the ps3. I think eve, dust, and valk could end up being a reason for people to have and still use a PC, a PS3, and a ps4. I think dust was conceived with lofty goals that I would like to see it live up to. I think dust can incentivise people to keep ahold of their ps3s for many years to come and even keep people buying ps3s. I honestly believe it has more potential than anyone gives it credit for, I just think dust needs more people to believe in it and it needs to try a little bit harder to reach its potential. If dust dies I will likely not play legion. I will almost definitely not buy a ps4 and don't want to, and if legion is green lit and ported to ps4, then greiv rabbah will almost certainly die and that's not what I hope for. After how sony has turned on both their developers and their loyal customers, i do not ever want to pay sony anything again. But I believe the eve series is the future of gaming and I believe dust has an important role to play as part of that series. I want to see it prove me right. Hotfix Delta changed Range and DPS. Couple of graphs here though I was looking for a spreadsheet I remember seeing that showed all the changes. Just know that to have what you are saying, they need to start from scratch on a lot of things. Best example is the controls. They cannot fix the input lag and variable acceleration for m/kb. Hit detection issues padded with excessive aim assist. None of which can be fixed because it's embedded so deep in a code that is pretty much undocumented and the coders are already out the door. This is the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Believe me when I say we know very little about how MUCH they've tried to fix, but it was not possible in a reasonable way. Know what cannot be known.

The thing that makes Dust and Legion different though is, from the info we've been given, there's no natural platform progression unlike any other sequel/followup ever made. But I agree, Dust has the capacity to live on for a while. Though it'd have to be ported to Ps4. While the Ps3 might continue to be sold and produced for a while the people buying it will be those who can't get a current gen console, and I can't imagine they'd spend much money on a free to play game.
