A swamp and jungle with some in game hazards. Such as quicksand or boulders. I want some maps to be hard to navigate for attackers and defenders. Something with Lots of trees as cover. Not just a regular old tree though. Maybe one lashes out if you get to close and causes some damage to you. Make it kill able though lol.
Maybe some city's off in the distance. Battles take place everywhere so not just in remote area's on deserted planets. Add some highways that have vehicles passing on them before the battle starts and once the mercs start fighting roadblocks are put up that stop vehicles. Have some over passes and intersections. A train track with a train that plows over any merc not looking before they cross.
Some lakes and rivers that are part of the map. I'd really like some rivers that are iced over and hazardous when crossing. Maybe lakes that you can fall through the ice on. Since the dropsuit protects the wearer the game would have to realize there is no escape and offer a quick way out. Such as the suit poisons you so you can respawn.
Corn fields and other farm land for the temperate planets. Maybe a barn on the battlefield that's high tech with moving robotic equipment.
Perhaps on the ocean planets you can have walk ways from part of the facility to the next that are above water and some parts of the facility that are below water. Maybe even a few parts where you can swim under the water from one part of the base to the other to avoid being detected. Kinda like in the movie The Abyss where they launch the underwater rovers. Add some wild life such as a shark or whale that passes by ever so often.
Maybe add an old battlefield map with outdated tanks rusting on the battlefield or an old howitzer that may or may not function anymore :). You'll just have to pull the trigger and find out lol. If it doesn't it blows up in your face haha.
Gas Planets are going to be fun add some gas bubbles that appear randomly and if you fire your weapon ka boom bye bye merc lol. I'm all about environmental hazards if you can't tell already. The gas planet could have walkways and roads that are held in place by giant overhead balloons or solar powered electrical engines that spin rotors. Some walk ways could be enclosed so people don't have to worry about the gases exploding when they fire their weapon.
Perhaps a base located on the side of a volcano. Just have a man made flat area that occasionally gets lava bombs thrown down on it from the volcano. Perhaps have it erupt sometimes and lava block a path for a short time before the base is able to clear it through a vent tunnel system much like a cities water run off system.
Maybe have one located near a residential area mercs have to fight through to get to the base. Nothing fancy just a small town that was unlucky enough to be located between where the mercs base is and the attackers insertion point is. Perhaps the town was founded to support the planetary material collectors placed there. If that is done then I would like to be able to enter a building and snipe from one of the buildings. Maybe have some curtains that help conceal the sniper and every time he shoots the curtain rips making him easier to be spotted so he has to move to another room or run the risk of being spotted and subsequently shot lol.
I hope that gives you some great idea's and I hope some of them are put in. Defiantly add some alien wild life where possible to add the feeling of fighting on different planets. Sure you can't do a whole ecosystem but just some variety and something to look at while we are sprinting to the front lines would be great. Plus I want the other guys destracted by some mermaid while i sneak up behind and unload a clip . |

Do at least one map for every kind of planets existed in EVE, then we could test it and give you a feedback. Personally I love to see a lava planet, and gas planet ASAP. |

I definitely love to see different maps especially with weather that change during the match or in certain time and terrain that are based on where the location is on a planet. |

I'm not suprised that it seems to have been overlooked, after all Sol (Earth's system) doesn't sit inside anything other than an epic cloud of asteroids. |

You should make a map on a moon with underground control points and on the surface a destroyed city for intense close quarters combat and open combat outside in the destroyed city. Also, if u look up you can see a giant space battle taking place. A mix of violence and beauty |

Ocean world- the attacker "M.C.C" would be a boat and there would be 2 new vehicles a submarine (customizable) and a two handed propulsion device with some sort of gun on the front sub is the fastest the handheld propulsion device second fastest and the suits would have slow air jets on them. the defenders base would be underwater and the would have torpedo launchers also under the water (away from the base with small one or two man tunnels from the base) that the attackers are trying to shut down. also for an optional extra have docking area's where u can "park" your sub and when ready take off and the docking area will flood itself (drains itself when u enter) this time the default spawn point it the mcc itself and mobile spawn points will be the subs the subs should be about 1 1/2 times the size of a dropship and should have 4 guns and 4 "seats". i have always wanted an underwater map and it would be a complete awesome overload if u could add area's to the defender base that u could flood and the defenders could unflood after a amount of time i love dynamic maps . when i had a P.S 2 and had star wars battlefront 2 i would play mustifaar and the wookie map just because of the very small dynamicy of the maps and alot of maps in star wars battlefront where dynamic and i loved them i wish u could do the same to your maps
Base- it would be cool if it were a research base and there's a shark tank ( or some kind of large preditor fish alien or not) that u can releas them out into the water only once at any point in the battle but they will swim away after taking *blank* number of victims |

Here is my thoughts on new maps, make a map that is multi-story, going from the edge of the map to the end there are multiple lines of defense (example: imagine a pentagon building that has a shaft in the middle that drops down into the planet and has multiple pentagon shaped buildings around the outside) that stresses teamwork like tanks might only be able to go so far towards middle before there is no room for them to go. what im trying to say is make a map where vehicles defend the outside of a huge map while many of the players fight inside a massive multi-story building and when i mean massive i mean a biuilding like a quarter of the current map or bigger.
another idea is making a map on planet where you fight to destroy or protect the planets core or part of the core |

What's the lore say about Rogue Drones on a human scale? They've always been my favorite npc 'race' in EVE and I would love to see an expansion based around them for both games.

I think something based around Mortal Engines by Philip reeve could be interesting. I don't know how similar you'd be allowed to get, and really I'm just thinking in concept, nothing exactly based off it.
It's just big giant cities or mobile defense platforms that roam around and assault each other. One of the major plot points in a later book in the series was *Spoiler alert* orbital defense platforms that could be used to destroy them when reactivated through ancient, lost technology (two things EVE has plenty of). It'd be a unique game mode and tons of fun. I'll post links to some pictures.

A "black kessy down" map would be awesome.
A map as is in the lore with random lava / fire etc.
A "yellowstone" esque map, w hotsprings using as power sources.
An appropriate frozen wasteland map (maybe like iceberg lake in your own back yard!) Ice and volcanoes = win.
A "floating city" map (like Kamino...)
A "Nouvelle Rouvenor" map.
I like the eve style currently being run of barren wasteland, some planets in eve are green implying life so maybe grasslands, but I like the deserts better.
Weather!!! Snow ftw.

I would really enjoy some factional warfare.
Things that really bring the factions to life with their different attributes. "Amarr v.s. Minmatar" for example.
The factions in EVE have so much behind them that story missions could really come alive with DUST. In DUST you can truly see the people, which would give the factions so much more character than what they receive in EVE. |

My main request is for a wide variety of environments.
Forests, fields, plants, cliffs, water (shallow is fine), alien landscapes, atmospheric color hues, floating islands. Anything to differentiate one map from the other aside from different configurations of barren tundra and random buildings. Small AI creatures? Not every game has the potential for entirely different ecosystems and conditions for any given map. Get creative, break the molds!
I also enjoy the occasional environmental hazard, like an avalanche, alien creature, rock or tree falling over, dust storm (could cause havoc for air vehicles and interfere with orbital assistance?), traps that can be activated - like a bridge that can be retracted or a shortcut through a crusher that could be tripped, any number of things (but not to an excess in any given map).
I obviously know nothing of your engine, but I would like to see some more vertically oriented maps as well, whether that means some pathways underground or overhead.
Maps with different lighting (time of day, position of the sun(s), whatever).
Maybe some maps with somewhat different gravity? |

I would love for you guys to put a group up feature into beta so i can still play with my friends. I find that when we manage to get into the same match we always try harder and work as a team truely testing how dust is supose to be played. So ya i was just hopeing you might consider adding a group feature into beta to make it more enjoyable and to truely test out the team work that can be done.

Pos warfare! How to make it meaningful and fun.
Meaningful : This part is easy, a pos gets reinforced. The owning corp then has a 20%(example) leeway on the reinforced timer left, so the longer they wait with deciding what to do, the less influence they have over the reinforced timer. PvP : Attacking corp asks mercs to board the pos and gain access of the control room. If successful, they have the same influence on the reinforce timer as the owning corp.
I see this as a very good way to clobber a few birds with the projectile. Infantry only fighting map, smaller crew(8v8 or 12v12?) to fight indoors while still having a real effect in the world. The only problem that could happen is availability of soldiers to cover all potential reinforced towers, cause there are maaany of them. Also a potential problem is the short amount of time between pos going reinforced and need of troops. But if here are enough Dust players(as there hopefully will be), this shouldnt be a problem. |

Dust 514 has high potential but needs some things to be better.
-A place where the members of any corporation would meet together. (Like the PShome) And the possibility to form a group to go fight with a squadleader.
-A real mmo orientation on the battlefield : more players and largest maps (Like planetside) --> and biggest ground and air vehicules.
-Simplify the system of skills/module . (Because It's a f2p and some players are casual/noobs and will not understand how to earn that)

A map in and around a large underground mine, some objectives would be outside around the entrance to the mine, others would be in the larger tunnels underground with lots of smaller tunnels tanks and such couldn't reach that would contain close quarters infantry fighting. |
