The map that theme I want to see the most is something tropical, Idk thats just the way I am. I love tropical things.
Careful what you wish for, the last time I uttered the line "Why can't we get deployed some where in the tropics?" We ended up getting deployed to Haiti just a week later...That said I was thinking a jungle themed map would be awesome, lots of a concealment in the brush, fortified intersections for roads, and fortified objective locations.
A desert would be amaing as well with towering and easily accessable fortifications around key objective points, dunes breaking up flat stretches of sand, and of course dust storms....that would quite the mechanic to exploit or overcome.
Moons without atmosphere would be a kick as well, brightly lit combat zone with maybe a gas giant hanging in the sky in contrast to a spread of stars and ships.
Tetonicly active planets would also be a good option to look at with crags and breaks leading to and from fortified positions, while a sniper haven it wouldn't be completely impassable due to the obligatory winding passages, rocky outcropings and of course everyone's favorite, the drop ship.
Temperate planets are an obvious go to since they can have so many different environs across the globe, one I would like to see is the arctic tundra, or even a highly urban setting in the middle of a settlement. There is also the iconic beach line, a mountain valley perhaps.
A completely aquatic setting would prove interesting with combat taking place on various platforms and rigs. There is literally so much you can do with this because its about planet hopping warfare! Even maps aboard ships in space, I mean the average battleship is over 1km in length I'm sure there is all kinds of room on one for combat, maybe even a few nasty traps like venting a cargohold, or overloading engine exhaust ducts. For the first time in an FPS the possibilities are literally endless. |

Ruined industrial city's ,mountains slashed in half, craters littering the ground, and downed vehicles of all sorts. ( The Armageddon of whatever planet this map would be on)-á
Or a map with a large canyon running through it with a large bridge. Leading to extra usage of dropships, tanks, and assault classes overall.-á |

Stage 1 (Vehicles only... you are fighting over the better map placement of the 2nd stage. Go for the high ground!
Stage 2 (Winner of stage 1 is Def and Loser is Off) All out battle hold said location. Winning side selects next location
Stage 3 (Underground, in a said Location Like a Lab, Mining area, spaceport or ship)
Depending on "What Stage Locations" you win on you get better ISK, and Loot... hell even crafting items.....
Also make all maps have hazards, as in auto-gun turrets and environmental dangers like high winds and random light strikes |

How about a entire moon level, that is completely sphere.... As you can walk the entire map one way and end up exactly where you were, by just walking in that one direction. That would be neat,to be able to battle on an entire moon/ tiny planet. That is probably not possible, but it still would be cool to have an entire planet.

It seems to have been mentioned, but basically an attack on a ship (or facility), where you have to fight your way forward (think linear map), capturing positions, knocking down defenses and defending marines boths. Being the raiding/boarding party, you have VERY limited resources, so you're going in hot and armed to the teeth; the Corp that requested the attack will also know this, and have to put in a BIG reward. Endgame can also involve assassinating the leader/captain/whoever, basically a 1-shot win, but VERY difficult to get to.
Defenders will have everything to loose, and nothing to win (except SPs) Attackers will have everything to win, and nothing to loose (except the ISKs/Aurum/Kroner they invested)

Now I'm just throwing this out there but what if you did a map that was untouched by war until well you arrive in a since a thriving city . Or maybe a underground city left by a alien civilization from a previous war that has new weapons and vehicles that could be added as downloadable content? However from what I've seen I do like the setup of the games interface and further more I think that adding something like this wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. What do you guys think? |

I doubt it will be included for release, but corporation-owned bases would most likely have the ability to build and upgrade training areas. That would be sick. |

What we need is a large forest map with heavily dense jungle, where the canopy pretty much covers the sky. It would create quite a challenge for air support and tanks, as navigation between thick foliage wold pose a huge challenge for larger vehicles, and not being able to identify ground troops would create interesting scenarios for pilots.
It would give infantry greater control over the battle field, focus more on their abilities to stand alone as single soldiers. Not only would they have the responsibility of capturing objectives and fighting off the enemy, but there are the added responsibility of keeping heavy vehicles protected from sneaky ambushes and keeping pilots overhead up to date with what's happening on the ground.
The way I would see it designed is like Endor or Yavin 4 from Star Wars Battlefront, with structures built high above the forest floor, and scattered ruins strewn about the place. Add in a bit of extra shrubbery and ground creeping plants, and you have yourself an ideal map.
Also, the jungle environment would work well for encouraging teamwork, something that is also needed in a team based game such as Dust...
I know many people probably don't like jungle maps, but I do. Others will also raise the point that the scout's abilities would probably be OP in such an environment, but that's a point that will add to the intensity of such a map, being ambushed in random places and not knowing where you're gonna be attacked from next.

There is any chance you can configure the game so if on one battle, one MCC gets destroyed,on the next battle on that district there will be any kind of MCC husk? maibe even as a secondary objective that allows to the team who completes it (reach the husk) recover any high value resource who helps that corporation to use it to build a new MCC cheaper or a resource injection to that corporation as a reward..
A tihink It would be cool, realistic, add this kind of improvements. |

Canyon Battle:
You fight for a canyon witth hundreds of bridges and platforms and also many objectives. Not every objective should be reachable by tanks and could be in a large base inside the cliff. The bridges could be damaged and destroyed so you have to take care a bit. You should be able to build bridges too. The team that holds more objectives after a certain time or holds 100 % of the objectives wins. |

The maps, so far, look quite similar. I think it's a good idea to throw in some space battles, perhaps on an asteroid. Also, a few green maps, like a jungle one would be welcomed too. |

I've just read More than 30 great ideas, but i think the graphics should be more realistic. The first thing when i started my first battle i looked down to see my legs, but nothing.. then i start shoot in buildings with heavy weapons but nothing.. i even tryied to shoot other players through some walls but they didn't died. To make it more wanted and rated should be pegi 18 and very realistic with blood and realistic explosions. I think that if the creators and designers want to practice some of people's ideas they should make better the graphics!, so we can fully enjoy the different maps in/on different enviorments/planets.
To speak about this topic i am going to say my(FIRST) idea too : i immagine a map where there are 3 different Empires that are fighting for the map itself ( to conquer that part of the planet)..like there is a defender Empire(ex Caldari) fighting with the Invasor Empire(Amarr) and after a few minutes the 3rd Empire( show itself as another Invasor. The idea is to give each side different strategic points or bonuses as for : -Defenders Turrets with the door that opens only for them and strategic roof point for recons or heavy weaponers against vehicles/ship; -First Invasor Empire could have the heavy artillery (ex. tanks) and a corner of map where can be the respawn point with temporary basis; -Second Invasor Empire could have the air artillery (ex. ships and, as Captain Wheeliebin said, jetpacks) and other corners with respawn point with temporary basis. Shortly said, balanced Empires.
To play this mode every other new or classic modes, they could be combined. I think that if this game will be or maybe IT is already the new generation of games, this mode should be included in the game, but to make the game more popular and liked should have graphics better, or at least same with top games.
My SECOND idea is to give players the chance to play with a friend on the same console as a clone of a clone (ex. AurelMarian1 & AurelMarian2). This idea is not my wishest as the first one but i'd like to see the epical 1/2 Players in Multiplayer on the same console. (Split screen horizontal or vertical)
I don't know if my ideas are the bests but the game will became more interesting in my opinion and more people would buy this. Thank you for reading this, because if you arrived here this means you are interesed about developing the game |

I would also love to play on a map of depth. Vertical from one level to a lower. A progressive map like those found in BF3's rush mode.
Maybe an assault on a tower complex, subterranean mine or sheer face of a snow topped mountain range. |

Tower of Power. simple segment that could be add to the maps like they show up now, but the tower is a mult level strong hold with only one captare point at the top. the team that take the tower can spawn in the top and you must hold the tower to win. king of the hill style, something like a nexus base or somthing

Here is one:
Archipelago style combat. Island hopping. One to another. Interesting issues here involve:
Little to no large cover areas. A rock or two, but otherwise, its just sand, water and islands.
Hard to defend. Its difficult to keep a flat open piece of rock occupied and defended for long.
Isle to isle movement. Some are shallow enough, some are not. In some cases, you just cant make it there by foot, which causes: LAV can be utterly useless at points. HAV can be used for transport but can just as easily get bogged down. Dropships! Encourages the use of transport via dropships due to terrain.
Could create interesting ariel combat scenarios.
Use of droplinks is a must!
Snipers, well. Good luck here.
Heavies: You will sink!
Logi and Assault: You are the main combatants!
SO. This encourages ariel forces, team work and generally, well, FUN! |
