Also fighting on a planet thats always night time. With the odd building/street light but mainly moon and star lit, it would make for a very interesting match. Also a mining world would be neat with pits, narrow ledges, lava, basicaly dangerous terrain to have to avoid. |

May be worth considering but it depends on how you dear develepors will construct managing resources on planet surface.

Executive Privelige Intelligence reports that a corporate executive has an extravagant home disguised as a bunker in this sector. The VIP has left on a business trip, so you won't be able to take hostages. Your objective is to raid the compound, take whatever isn't nailed down to extraction, and set charges if you have the time.
Appearance : exterior is like any old bunker, however the difference is extreme inside. Lavish rooms, large window-simulators, and plenty of shiny things to steal. Maybe a Gallente luxury hover-car. |

A map/multiple districts on a planet that's on a collision course with a moon/planet, both sides fight for control of escape pods that jettison them to war barge. Both sides start at neutral zones on opposite sides of the map and fight their way to an (underground bunker?) or surface structure, obviously the side left on the planet loses. I dunno, I thought it was a good idea, or maybe dumb? |

Forums Veteran wrote:A swamp and jungle with some in game hazards. Such as quicksand or boulders. I want some maps to be hard to navigate for attackers and defenders. Something with Lots of trees as cover. Not just a regular old tree though. Maybe one lashes out if you get to close and causes some damage to you. Make it kill able though lol. Maybe some city's off in the distance. Battles take place everywhere so not just in remote area's on deserted planets. Add some highways that have vehicles passing on them before the battle starts and once the mercs start fighting roadblocks are put up that stop vehicles. Have some over passes and intersections. A train track with a train that plows over any merc not looking before they cross. Some lakes and rivers that are part of the map. I'd really like some rivers that are iced over and hazardous when crossing. Maybe lakes that you can fall through the ice on. Since the dropsuit protects the wearer the game would have to realize there is no escape and offer a quick way out. Such as the suit poisons you so you can respawn. Corn fields and other farm land for the temperate planets. Maybe a barn on the battlefield that's high tech with moving robotic equipment. Perhaps on the ocean planets you can have walk ways from part of the facility to the next that are above water and some parts of the facility that are below water. Maybe even a few parts where you can swim under the water from one part of the base to the other to avoid being detected. Kinda like in the movie The Abyss where they launch the underwater rovers. Add some wild life such as a shark or whale that passes by ever so often. Maybe add an old battlefield map with outdated tanks rusting on the battlefield or an old howitzer that may or may not function anymore :). You'll just have to pull the trigger and find out lol. If it doesn't it blows up in your face haha. Gas Planets are going to be fun add some gas bubbles that appear randomly and if you fire your weapon ka boom bye bye merc lol. I'm all about environmental hazards if you can't tell already. The gas planet could have walkways and roads that are held in place by giant overhead balloons or solar powered electrical engines that spin rotors. Some walk ways could be enclosed so people don't have to worry about the gases exploding when they fire their weapon. Perhaps a base located on the side of a volcano. Just have a man made flat area that occasionally gets lava bombs thrown down on it from the volcano. Perhaps have it erupt sometimes and lava block a path for a short time before the base is able to clear it through a vent tunnel system much like a cities water run off system. Maybe have one located near a residential area mercs have to fight through to get to the base. Nothing fancy just a small town that was unlucky enough to be located between where the mercs base is and the attackers insertion point is. Perhaps the town was founded to support the planetary material collectors placed there. If that is done then I would like to be able to enter a building and snipe from one of the buildings. Maybe have some curtains that help conceal the sniper and every time he shoots the curtain rips making him easier to be spotted so he has to move to another room or run the risk of being spotted and subsequently shot lol. I hope that gives you some great idea's and I hope some of them are put in. Defiantly add some alien wild life where possible to add the feeling of fighting on different planets. Sure you can't do a whole ecosystem but just some variety and something to look at while we are sprinting to the front lines would be great. Plus I want the other guys destracted by some mermaid while i sneak up behind and unload a clip .
Mhmm, definitely look on and possibly do something from this ^^. Skywise I would like to see also some moons there, the moons would appear depending if the planet even has any, like if the planet has 10 moons there should be visible at least 3 of them. |

I'll be honest, I skipped through a lot of posts so i don't know if this has been suggested. I posted this in a different thread but this one seems more appropriate so here goes:
Sansha nation PVE or PVP if enough Dusters are loyal to the Master. The idea is that Dust mercs take a contract to defend a civilian sector from Sansha abduction teams (think Mann vs Machine in TF2 but with multiple points to defend, far more intelligent AI and no hats). The battle opens with players manning anti-space batteries, attempting to blast Sansha vessels from orbit as they attempt to hoover up civvies with tractor beams. If the players are succesful (success could also determine the difficulty of this next phase) the Incursion fleet will resort to a more direct method: the defenders must now switch targets to engage dropships swarming from the skies, (optional for the devs: the more you shoot down, the less true slaves you have to fight.)
With the dropships now too low for the ASBs, the battle now shifts into a more traditional format, but with the twist that there are civilian targets in the area that MUST NOT be shot and MUST be rescued if captured, though i doubt you'll save them all. Payment from concord dependant on percentage of civvies saved.
Now, here's where things get really interesting. What if we add a moral layer to this mission? For example, after you take the contract, you may be contacted by the commander of the incursion, offering a bribe for you NOT to resist. Or perhaps, if you are fighting a Gallente incursion, you may be contacted by shadowy members of the Caldari State who will pay you a bonus if you shoot down Sansha dropships only WHEN they try to escape with civilians onboard. obviously taking the darker path will need to be balanced with some sort of punishment, a sec status hit or a temp ban from incursions if you accept Sansha's bribe, or if you deliberately let civilians get captured only to shoot them down on the orders of the aforementioned shifty Caldari, perhaps the Gallente come after you and sabotage your territory?
Opinions are appreciated. thanks for reading. |

A large ship crashed into a barren planet- kindof like the end of the campaign of the first halo game. Although most of the stuff would be inside the ship, there could be a base or 2 set up outside, and openings on the ship for vehicles to come in/out, snipers to harass the base/s, or dropships to harass the people inside. |

I don't mind if its aboard a Titan, a space station, a factory or an interspacial fast food chain. I want a map where there is no outdoors, no vehicules to be called in. Just pure merc on merc action. I want to see a map where Shotgun, SMG, HMH, Grenade Launcher rule.
In addition to being made of awesome this map would allow to test CQC to its limits. |

Setup : Take any planetary map, throw an asteroid at it, then have your cloned lackeys fighting in the bullseye!
Objective : You aren't fighting for the base at this time, you're actually fighting over the useful "shocked" mineral types that will be in the imminent crater. Mode can be either Ambush, Skirmish, or a "Conquest"-type mode.
EDIT : forgot to mention the base and all assets committed get destroyed at the end, which is expected when a space rock impacts at 10km per second. |

Could we get a sort of post-apocalyptic/high-tech torn down city to jaunt in please? One with high rises of epic proportion, bridges that interconnect the buildings, electromagetic roadways for vehicles and areas to pull into the highrises. Upper sky and lower ground gameplay... A super high tech city torn by endless war but still in-part functioning with makeshift strongholds here and there within the skyscrapers/highrises. Maybe specific buildings have some nodes that need hacking because they control some missile launch bays or manufacturing company items or the nodes are high explosives set to further demolishimportant structures and one team has to defend an disarm while the other is set out to demolish. I would just love any of that...!!! |

Idk why people want socom & cod style stuff if you want that you should go play it cause this is DUST! (several great ideas for maps though!) I'd love to see a jungle map with living animals & poisonous plants with bright vibrant colors & a snow map with heavy winter storms aswell as some dynamic maps (i.e. Doors you can open or ways to change the map as you progress thoughtthe map in "Conquest"). Maybe even add a bit of a defense for defenders and it would make it a bit more of a challenge for attackers since they'd have to move an obstacle before progressing as someone mentioned above. |

what do you mean in your edit? Then the map could only be used once and why would you a want your assets destroyed? Great idea but the edit made it a boy confusing. |

I think the maps should look different based on the atmosphere of the planet. Fire, Ice, Forest, Desert, Storms, Snow. You could also have ancient cities, refineries, villages, architecture of the different cultures, mines, etc. Variety is always nice and should set the maps apart. |

I just read at the beginning titan, AND FELL IN LOVE. If this game had titan mode, It would make the game for me. It can't be named titan mode though or it would be a rip off, not only that you can't have it be a 100% like titan mode. I would think you would have to fly up and destroy air locks to get in side the ship, then like another idea I have heard was destroy the anti gravity generators.
The map that theme I want to see the most is something tropical, Idk thats just the way I am. I love tropical things. |

Ship raid level have high level pilots fly in dropships and dock (spawn point after docked so we dont die on the way in) onto a big vessel infiltrate and secure locations. Like space pirates.
Defiantly urban or urban ruins. Also heavily vegetated maps trees and bushes with minimal structures.
And i like the day and night suggestion i saw that would be sweet.

+1 to the Titan map idea and a little something added in. Why not two different types of contracts. The first type is covert, these are ones where the ship hasn't entered into a battle yet and it's for sabotaging the ship before the attacking corp invades. The second type is emergency contracts, these are during battles and have short life spans for both merc companies to take on.
During the emergency battles the ship of course will take damage and both sides have higher clone amounts, but the time limit is shorter and if the ship is destroyed in Eve then it's destroyed in D514 which ends in a draw for both companies. The emergency contract can of course have multiple types, ranging from assanation to sabatoge. They also would award more isk and reputation for whichever company won and if there is rep, then the defeated would lose more rep if they lost. It makes these kinds of contracts a gamble, if you win, you win big. Lose, and you lose big.
The covert contracts also have a few hiccups, the attacking company can only send in a set number of mercs and their clone pool is smaller for each indiviual merc. For the defenders, initially there merc numbers are small, but once a merc has found one of the attackers, they can have more from their company enter the match. The timelimit for these matches would be longer than emergency contracts and the ship wouldn't have a damage meter either, but the difficulty would be greater because of the limitations the attackers would have. Like having to procure weapons from only supply points in the ship, and they'd have to capture spawn points as they go through or start back at the beginning. Also, if they capture a supply or spawn point before being found, the alarm sounds so it makes capturing a tactical choice.
This idea of course requires that the Titan be multi-leveled and rather big, so these matches wouldn't be short but they'd have a real effect on Eve itself and would require the players involved to have real skill. This can also work with stations, both in the covert and emergency style of it.
For station matches the covert could be to take over the station allowing the attackers to actually have the station on their side when they go to invade, or it could be to detonate the station which would destroy it and take it out of the battle completly. During emergency contracts it could be to sabotage the station to damage any of the ships it repairs, or go into an overload state and detonate, causing massive damage to all around it. |
