Sorry if something similar has already been mentioned, im not reading through all of these.
So, I'm thinking of a planet that is under constant bombardment by asteriods. Perhaps once every 2 minutes, a large piece of rock comes crashing down onto a random location on the battlefield, destroying and killing at that location much like an orbital strike.
Just to throw a little bit of unpredictable chaos in the mix. |

Red Dawn type battles where you invade a city with defenders and attackers try to take the city and defenders try to drive attackers away and i forgot main thing main objective for both is to take a multi skyfire turret battery to either (attckers) take out denfending fighting fleet above or (defenders) to take out attacking fleet above |

-Ships take more/less damage falling -movement and jumping is faster/slower -People falling from high places don't require inertia dampening or inertia dampening is useless b/c you fall like a stone. -Falling from reasonably low cliffs kill you |

Landscapes
More color is needed in the landscapes. Use of brighter colors can make regular natural landscapes look beautiful: Red sandy deserts, or just red sand in general. Would look even better if snowing (white and red look nice together)

Canyons, orange or red ones (NOT DULL BROWN)
Check out the use of green and red on this.
More use of green here.
More interesting landscapes: Naturally occurred, look at this.
Towering mountains covered in vegetation in China.
This river cascading over those shapely rocks here.
Waterfalls, like here.
More alien looking landscapes here, here, here, and here (note the red vegetation, plants don't have to be green, it depends on the parent star).
Alien vegetation for some maps, here, here, and here.
Blindingly bright suns would be nice also. |

I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if there are some repetitions.
PvE:
Killing rogue drones (just kidding, I saw the concept art)
Saving citizens from Sansha Incursions: Operate orbital cannons to shoot at Sansha ships, regular anti-vehicle weapons against Sansha dropships. Destroy whatever devices the Sansha use to abduct people.
Save a stranded (npc?) capsuleer from Blood Raiders who want his clone's blood.
Hunting. Yes, plain hunting. But not hunting rabbits, if you know what I mean. Trophies only for vanity. (disclaimer, this is not an idea to turn dust into wow with guns). But it would be nice to have some alien creature's head in one's MQ. Maybe a capsuleer could hire dustbunnies to get him his trophy.
A capsuleer hires dustbunnies to locate and/or retrieve an item (whatever) in some heavily guarded place.
PvP:
Save a stranded (npc?) capsuleer from the other team vs. Get there first and kill/capture the capsuleer.
Vehicle races, no rules. Just get there first. Maybe the goal would be to get a slow HAV to the finish line, assisting it with any means necessary. After some time, the team closest to the finish line wins, to avoid this to last forever.
Ship/station/POS boardings, but those have probably been suggested already.

Anyways. I've seen some cities and I'm NGL a city, abandon or not, would be cool. A base on a water-covered planet. Another planet with mountains and maybe a hot desert with desert storms. |

These are just general ideas of maps that i have listed below. I have also included some environmental hazards i think would be fun and useful seeing that not all planets are hospital able.
Volcanic GÇô
One could be on the side of a volcano with falling magma and lava flows. Another could be on cooling lava fields, sharp spikes and big fields, steam coming off the ground. Be inside a huge dormant volcano fighting in lava tubes and the main magma chamber could have areas on volcanic maps give damage due to the heat
Desert GÇô Fighting on rolling dunes in a sandstorm, low visibility Big desert outpost, mostly all city type fighting. Have the sandstorm damage shields and armor if not behind cover. Fight in a big meteor crater Canyon fight On some planets winds could be so high that sand harms shields and armor
Ocean GÇô Fight on an oil rig like structure A floating city, Could be metal, wood, a mixture of both Fight on a super tanker On a big island Ship to ship combat A big raised city over the water Fight ontop of a coral reef formation Water could be hazardous, could possibility drown because of equipment weight
Forest/natural areas GÇô Hugh trees, with structures built on them Fight around a lake in a forested area, maybe with a waterfall Heavily wooded plains like area thatGÇÖs on fire. Fight around hot geysers in a semi wooded area with stone Fight in a mountain canyon, have tunnels and bunkers built into the mountain Fight atop mountain ridges with canyons Inside a Hugh cave Fight on a dry lake bed Swamp like area, with low water lots of plants Large mushroom forest underground cavern combat

as many here have said did not have time to read all post so sorry if i repeat an idea how about a tall small map for attacking a space elevator I see it as ether a assulte mode or for ambush it would be one large tall building maybe like 10-20 floors multiple ways up and down with a cental area from top to bottom for the elevator its self, this would be infantry only with maybe air craft circling the outside |

i know is not as much a map as a game mode.
Imagine the already existing maps, with A,B,C,D,E...BUT, instead of been an anti MCC facility, they are mineral facilitys, they give, manufacture, create mineral boxes, (one every 40s) or something like that. And the objective is to carry them back to your MCC, you can do this by Dropship, by LAV, or by foot. Dropships can carry the most, LAV can carry more than just a guy. (LAVs and infantry should have a dropping spot where the MCC pics ir up and beans it up) annnnnnnd who ever fills the cargo bay on their MCC wins. CCP could use the same meter they use now for shield and armor for the cargo bay.
The MCCs should keep their fire between eachother, those little missiles

Personally, I would love to experience some indoor, industrial settings. Multi-floor would be nice. Also, if we could see some foreign flora, I feel we could have more relationship with the landscapes. Multiple suns and moons would be awesome, that always gives us sci-fi buffs a good thrill. Just suggestions. |

Factories, ships, massive buildings. I like all of these ideas, mainly because I feel like an indoor environment gives a bit more leeway for smaller encounters. Not one-on-one (or at least, not supposed to be) but providing massive spaces for the snipers that players are required to at least trek a bit of the way through before heading off into smaller, more confined areas for up close and personal shootouts. |
