These are just general ideas of maps that i have listed below. I have also included some environmental hazards i think would be fun and useful seeing that not all planets are hospital able.
Volcanic GÇô
One could be on the side of a volcano with falling magma and lava flows. Another could be on cooling lava fields, sharp spikes and big fields, steam coming off the ground. Be inside a huge dormant volcano fighting in lava tubes and the main magma chamber could have areas on volcanic maps give damage due to the heat
Desert GÇô Fighting on rolling dunes in a sandstorm, low visibility Big desert outpost, mostly all city type fighting. Have the sandstorm damage shields and armor if not behind cover. Fight in a big meteor crater Canyon fight On some planets winds could be so high that sand harms shields and armor
Ocean GÇô Fight on an oil rig like structure A floating city, Could be metal, wood, a mixture of both Fight on a super tanker On a big island Ship to ship combat A big raised city over the water Fight ontop of a coral reef formation Water could be hazardous, could possibility drown because of equipment weight
Forest/natural areas GÇô Hugh trees, with structures built on them Fight around a lake in a forested area, maybe with a waterfall Heavily wooded plains like area thatGÇÖs on fire. Fight around hot geysers in a semi wooded area with stone Fight in a mountain canyon, have tunnels and bunkers built into the mountain Fight atop mountain ridges with canyons Inside a Hugh cave Fight on a dry lake bed Swamp like area, with low water lots of plants Large mushroom forest underground cavern combat
Space GÇô Asteroid combat (like a base on an asteroid) On wreckage of a big ship Ship to ship combat, have control points lead to boarding the other ship. Moon combat, with lower gravity Fight on a outer space ship port Space station around a moon or planet a large dead space plant (like thorn bush or crystalized structure)
City GÇô Fight on top of a dam Giant skyscraper Water ship port Super highway Downtown environment Subway system Train yard Giant parking garage Space port Airport Ruined city (bombed out) Trench warfare On top of a train have a map where you fight on top of a giant bridge Military base Freeway interchange clone manufacturing plant large industrial plant Industrial area of city (pipes, buildings, cat walks, allies) Chemical plant
Alien environment Jellyfish like terrain Large cactus like plants Huge trees, could be spikey with colorful fruit on them (fruit could fall and cause damage) tentacle like environment (all ground and hills are tentacles; at least living terrain) crystalized landscape moss covering all terrain fluorescent plants and moss on rocks Spikey plants and rocks super vegetated planet (large vines, trees, flowers, mushrooms, bushes)
Hazardous planets ideas- Hail (take would damage you) acid rain rain (high grav or low) falling rocks lava acidic liquid pools geysers tar pits (slow movement) slime pits (cause damage) sandstorms snow storms meteors Falling wreckage from space battle Sun radiation (have to grab cover to no receive damage) Earth quakes Tornado Hurricane Fire High/low gravity (high gravity jump/run slower) Differing light cycles (changes between night and day happen in mins not hours) whirlpools waves tsunami
