Things i noticed since my return:
Strafing is slower, but i can still 1v1 people. It feels chunky now and not smoot.
Moving in general is also slower and rough. Not used to this yet.
The lag i haven't encountered yet, FPS wise not latency wise. Latency lag i experienced when i squadded, so i immediately left squad after the victorious battle.
Progression system i haven't yet checked out, seems cool for the new guys.
The skins are nice, i am still yet to get one :(
Fireteams still say squads in the title along the chat windo even though they could be fireteams or platoons.
Trading is still not fully open.

I just got out of a Skirm where I got blapped by a roof-camping Sentinel with an IAFG. I promptly sent him a bolt of plasma from 88M away.

Back in beta, I was tasked with keeping overwatch. The 3 PCs I did while I was in dy5t0pian, nobody got past. Our base was different, and we didn't have the tall buildings, we had spires and mountains like in Manus Peak.
I used my sniper. That, is the best overwatch weapon in my book. Best overwatchers? Gem, and Zan.

Minmando makes the best overwatch because they make best use of the Mass Driver and can also carry Swarms to deal with any ADS that tries to remove them.
Why would you need to be able to reach the point quickly if you were overwatch? Your job as overwatch is to watch over the point, not go down there and 'wipe Links'.
Scouts make the worst overwatchers.

Nah not at all. What happens if an ADS swoops by and kills you? If you did have swarms, you pull out swarms, but then a scout runs up close and you don't have a CQC weapon to kill him with.

oh dreis you haven't PCd much obviously...You want to be able to do 1 thing; stop the point being hacked. As a medium/heavy frame you have vehicles AND scans to worry about which means players know where you are and can remove you with ease. They also know where you are to hack the point. You must bring long-range weapon to avoid people sneaking up on you, or if you can deal with that just bring a short-range weapon. To deal with vehicles you must bring an AV weapon. Most people use a mass driver/laser rifle, but on the occasion someone sneaks up on you, you're screwed because you have a LR and an AV weapon; no CQC gun!
As a scout you don't have to worry about scans...or vehicles...OR players knowing where you are. You can wipe links to avoid/delay players spawning in and taking over and you can hide from anyone and everyone.
A scout is the ideal overwatch.
Of course if there are multiple people on overwatch when the team isn't that strong then it becomes different
edit: overwatching on a catwalk/on high ground means you get OB's and there goes the point!
