I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'd really like to see a Normandy invasion situation. Storm the beaches! Mortars all around from the missiles on the cliffs above. You can't call in dropships or tanks because they'd be downed in transit. There are a few spawn points and a few assault locations, but this would be a situation where the defender has the advantage.
This wouldn't be a map that ended in the command center docking, but rather a battle to take the cliffs which are a strategic point to enable the large command ship to arrive. |

I saw the new Total Recall trailer lastnight and got to thinking it would be really awesome to have a few "special ops" maps where you are tasked with infiltrating known headquarters or a terrorist's hideout on a major city on the planet's surface. I know it's not the grand warfare that Dust514 will be mostly known for, but there were still dropships in Mass Effect 2, and all out cityscape battlefields in Mass Effect 3. I really would like to see some great planetary strategy as well based on what battle you choose to take first (Slay, or Risk type strategy - should I infiltrate the headquarters and fight in the city, which gives an advantage if taken early, or should I go for the cloning facilities which gives unlimited clone reserves for other battles on the planet?) I'm probably off topic... :)
Here's the link for those that want to view it for reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWMhADqlPYg |

Malfearion wrote:One map we need is a gun range .... ok so it is not a player vrs player map but there should be a default map that you can use to test stuff, it could even be available to all members of your corp so you can practice strategies, and the same mechanics and losses when you die as in a regular battle field....
I doubt it will be included for release, but corporation-owned bases would most likely have the ability to build and upgrade training areas. That would be sick. |
