Biggest way to boost SP and ISK gain is to destroy enemy vehicles. low K/D with lots of vehicles destroyed will still get you lots of points.

As a Scout, I'm more scared of Assault suits than Heavies, no matter the choice of weapon. Assaults can almost keep up when I'm doing a decent job of trying to stay behind them.

Use search. This is a MASSIVELY over-discussed well-known issue that's due to be fixed in the next patch. Devs already know. The specific spawn locations in each spawn point are meant to be random, but it's not working properly at present.
