I now have just an advanced weapon and a type2 dropsuit so its really hard to survive on the battlefield due to the fact that most have proto weapons and suits, particularly if try to get some kills. So the only way to kill anyone is to sit in a tank but there its also hard because of proto swarm launchers and forge guns. Thats not just my problem. Maybe there could be more levels of battle difficulty in the final version? One for beginners where just standard items and militia vehicles are allowed, one for intermediate players with everything up to standard vehicles and advanced items and one without limits. |

Greetings,

Not to be difficult, but if you are having trouble getting kills, then you are doing something wrong. I am still using the dragonfly and militia suits, using various weaponry and still getting a devent number of kills. My K/D is below 1:0 and I still tend to finish in the top 1/3 of the team's killers... And usually in the top 3 for SP.
Quote:Maybe there could be more levels of battle difficulty in the final version? Nope. Life is unfair and New Eden is even more unfair. What CCP will most likely do is add incentives for the more advanced players to move out of the PvE areas into the deeper PvP areas. They will most likely not put artificial limits like this in... |

Look at your play style and kink about how you act / react... This can hep you determine the proper play style for yourself which will improve your game. For example; Do you like long range or close quaters? Long range look at sniper or assault, close range look at HMG or SMG. Do you like to move while shooting or stand still? If you like to move look at Scout or Logistics, if you like to mostly stand still look at heavy or assault. Are you patient or impatient? If you are the patient kind look at sniping or ambushing, if you are impatient look at a run and gun play style.
These and many other questions will help you determine what you are good at and give you an idea where to focus. For example, I have very poor eye-hand coordination and slow reactions... Some would say I should play a heavy suit, but a scout is better for me... Why? Because it reacts fast enough to counteract my slow reactions. Also because of my poor coordination, I need to get closer to my targets or really far away... Because of this, I tend to use a combination sniping and ambushing. |

I agree it's hard to get into the game when you're getting slaughtered because of inadequate armor and guns. I die in about 2 or 3 hits usually from the side or behind and I can drill someone with a whole clip and they just laugh it off. I don't feel like being cannon fodder while I remain behind in quality equipment. If it was a more playing field with different groups of players then it may be more enjoyable and we could all grow together. Currently the rich will stay rich and the poor will remain poor. |

I think a lot of these issues will be sorted out once player corps and player contracts go live. Veteran players will gravitate towards these allowing starting players some breathing room.
Also, if you've played Eve you know that good corps take new players under their wing often times paying for fits and modules that are "expensive" to new players, but pennies to a Vet Corp. |

In New Eden, there are three security levels.
HighSec LowSec NullSec
These ratings WILL be carried over to DUST in some form, but no details have been released yet (that I know of). A lot of different ideas have been thrown about on the forums about how to implement this system, but there isn't any definitive "this is how it works" answer at present. It's another SOONGäó moment. |
