Scanning is shared between squad members. Heavy dropsuits are easier to detect whilst light suits are more difficult. Keep your eyes open for scouts. Heavy machine guns are devastating at short range but can be defeated at longer ranges.

Logis don't need a buff. They are pretty balanced with heavies and scouts (heavies are getting slightly nerfed in Charlie). If the assault changes make them better than logis, the assault buff is too much. I'm not saying it will be by the way.
