I don't think a painter should give a permanent lock, but should make you able to lock faster, and through buildings. Maybe a Sidearm slot weapon? And a lock warning would be good - but preferably only once the missiles are in the air.

You can detonate REs in mid-air if you can hit a moving target (it's usually luck). Grenades, not so sure about. It would be cool, but I don't think it's necessary.
