So I'm enjoying the game but wished there were a few additional features. Here's a list. 1. Chat icons over a person's head in game. I wish I could spot the person talking in game. That way I can spot the location quickly and get support there. Right now it's, "where are you" 2. Medic alert over fallen team or squad mate so that I could locate him/her. 3. A body position icon in game. Am I squatting or standing? 4. The ability to lay down in the assault dropsuits. 5. The Credrone assault weapon is way too powerful. Using it lacks sportsmanship. It becomes boring. If you're on the other end, it becomes frustrating. When grouping is allowed, you'll get groups all carrying around credrones killing the game. 6. Squadmate spauning would be a great option.
These are not required. It's a wish list. I know others will disagree...oh well.
As for tech problems, I've loaded the game a couple times and found ALL my dropsuits invalid. Even the stock ones. I had to turn off the game and reload to fix this problem. |

For #4, going prone would be a huuuuge gameplay change. It's tough to really illustrate how much being able to go prone would change the game. Making yourself a really small target like that would make camping a much more viable thing to do, and would slow down the gameplay a great deal. |

4. No prone. Search for "prone" and you'll see many threads on the topic, and many reasons why it's a bad idea for DUST.
6. This would be cool, but it would also completely negate the purpose of Drop Uplinks. |

I don't have a link handy but I think #2 is coming in the next patch (along with a change to the respawn timer so us poor logi's don't run into a firefight only to have our comrade dissolve RIGHT AS WE GET READY TO RES HIM). |

Minimum 8 second delay on suicides, maximum 30 seconds before you bleed out. And they're not only adding indicators for anyone equipped with Injectors to show where downed targets are, but also adding some kind of notification for the distance of the nearest injector-equipped player so you know where they're coming from/how far they are. |

Agree. no prone = no unfair camping |

what a about a invualerablity counter for respwing. i was spawn camped in EVERY game i was in for at least 3 kills eatch befeor someone showed up and finalyy killed teh jerk doing it. if i have to buy a stock of armor i WANT this spawn camping crap to be fixed. it bad enuff i have type II armoar and get one or two shotted by prototype weapons, but insta gibbed by someone planteing a remote bomb at my spawn site is terrrabad.
also remote bombs shoudlne be used as grenades there should be a "planting" anamation for these things. NO one shoudl beable to throw this thing and set it off right after |

On six I wouldn't be so sure about. Perhaps there could be equipment that pertains to having a kind of squad leader beacon. The squad leader gives a signal emitter that the MCC can track which gives pinpoint accuracy of that clones can literally be dropped around the squad leader.
Maybe a skill like Squad Command (Which could give improved commands for more elaborate and tactical control of the field) which could be used for requirements alongside Electronics and a MCC Beacon skill that grants access to equipment in question.
It would give more incentive for those whom look to become squad leaders and encourage a kind of team play and advanced play for corps.
It would be what I could suggest but others would probably have better ideas then mine. |

The DEVs are tweaking remote explosives in the next phase. They are giving it a 5 second timer before it is armed after you throw it and you can only carry two explosives per equipment slot. |

Going prone isn't important to me. I don't want another feature that would further allow camping or sniping. |

I totally agree on this and strongly support the idea of spawning on your squad leader (surprised there hasn't been a thread on it yet). Squad spawning promotes team work because you can easily join your squad mates again after you have been killed and don't need to run across half the map alone (and get killed in the process). Working as a small, cohesive unit without it is very difficult because every dead squad member is thrown back to the last static spawn beacon (which might have been destroyed already). On large maps (which Dust is supposed to have in the future) this problem only gets worse.
Balance wise, I don't see why this shouldn't work. Since every player can decide to take a drop uplink with them, why not introduce a similar module that makes yourself a mobile spawn point? Usage could be limited to people with squad leading skills to prevent people from 'spider spawning' on each other indefinitely. To balance it against static drop uplinks, fitting requirements could be raised or prevent the player from mounting an effective offense or defense on his suit, making him either an easy target or a weak damage dealer (or both).
Static drop uplinks are fine, but there are times when you want to move forward and still be able to stick together as a squad, and this is when squad spawning is needed imo. Especially on large maps that are not all vehicle focused (I hope they will exist in Dust) this will be necessary, seeing that no more than 24 players will be supported on each team (for now). |

That I could be on board with.
Would have to have HUGE CPU/PG requirements, though. Maybe almost impossible to fit without a suit-specific bonus (preferably to either Logi or Command Dropsuits). |

I think an infantry version of the mobile CRU should definitely not allow for spawns of the whole team though. Only a limited group of players, like the squad you are commanding, should be able to see and use it. Otherwise it would probably unbalance the game. |
