When I scope in using my AR on something distant and not flagged as a target, it marks it for me when I can get lined up right. The few times I've used a Sniper for the same purpose, I could mark targets at a greater distance. So that already works.

As a Scout, I can get one-shotted by a lucky near-miss with a Forge Gun if I'm not using my expensive kit. But as a Scout, if I'm staying still long enough that it wasn't a lucky shot, it's my own fault I got hit with that Forge Gun.
