The problem with your statement is you fail at seeing past your nose. The Logi suit is intended for support, they unintentionally made it more suitable for offense over the offensive oriented suit which rendered the assault useless. It's a balance for game design and structure. It's called "the big picture". I see it I just disagree. |

Just a small update. It seems we were missing the new CPU and PG values for all the tiers of the Caldari and Amarr Logistics suits. The Dev Blog now has all the values, and I've posted them below
Bumped up Amarr Logistics PG: 3 at STD (up to 36 from 33), 4 at ADV (up to 50 from 46) and 6 at PRO (up to 72 from 66)
Lower Caldari Logistics CPU: 20 at STD (down to 175 from 195), 28 at ADV (down to 245 from 273) and 40 at PRO (down to 350 from 390) CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites

I have been pointing out the 40 CPU nerf at proto forever and just now people start paying attention to it. SMFH.
CCP Logibro, please explain to me the "balance" instituted by nerfing the CPU on the Cal Logi Standard and Advanced suits. As I have stated in multiple posts, this nerf will now require Cal Logis at Advanced level to have about 700k & 1 mil more SP in fitting skills compared to equivalently equipped/tanked Minmatar and Gallente logis, all to "fix" abuse at the Proto level.
Please, leave the Standard and Advanced Cal Logi's CPU alone. |

Please, leave the Standard and Advanced Cal Logi's CPU alone. Well I'm not sure about the standard and advanced, but the prototype gets one more module slot than the other logis which can be used to as a CPU upgrade to negate the nerf. Perhaps the same is true for standard and advanced? I'd have to look at it because I'm not sure at the top of my head.
Anyways that means that the Cal Logi gets the flexibility to use a wide array of advanced mods or a normal amount of proto mods. |

Maybe it is so that the Engineering- and Electronic-Skills actually serve a purpose? Why would you even need them, if you can make a complete fitting without investing a single point into them. Only thing that's missing is that the other suits need these skills too. |

@Aero Yassavi
Standard - Minmatar 2H/2L/3E, Gallente 0H/2L/3E, Caldari 2H/1L/2E
Advanced - Minmatar 3H/3L/3E, Gallente 2H/3L/3E, Caldari 3H/2L/3E
The suits at advanced level are well balanced at present (even counting the racial bonus). Nerfing the CPU of the Caldari on top of the removal of the racial bonus will make Caldari by far the weakest in terms of EHP and equipment fitting potential.
@Aikuchi Tomaru
Agreed, the fitting skills should and do serve a purpose.
The nerf is the equivalent of 12% of CPU that you now need to make up for. I'm inclined to think something is unfair when I need Core Upgrades 4 and Electronics 4 just to fit the same equipment that a Gallente can fit with only Core Upgrades 2 (the prerequisite to unlock equipment). This is not even all advanced stuff - just basic and advanced stuff. If I want to carry drop uplinks on my fit, I'd need to upgrade to Electronics 5.
Again, how is it balanced if I need as much as 1.7 mil more SP in fitting skills to carry the same stuff as another suit?
To whoever in CCP suggested that the nerf apply to Standard and Advanced levels, I really hope you take a good hard look at these suits and what they are now incapable of, after the nerf. And if you still think it's a good idea to nerf them, I really hope your tenure at CCP is short. |

Nova Knife wrote:I only agree [with respecs] if the changes /significantly/ disrupt the core of what something is.
In the case of what's coming in 1.3, I'm not convinced a respec is necessary. It's a pretty bad habit to get into to cater to premature and unncessessary community pressure. I'm not against respecs as a whole, but balance changes happen. Now that they're happning much more often, so will the demand for respecs as people try to bounce from FOTM thing to FOTM thing.
Honestly, I'd rather see them not offer any more respecs until they get the full suit lineup out (and/or do one more final pass on the skill system to replace the bonuses that make no damn sense), because the people who are in the position of "I don't want to use smelly amarr stuff but that's all that's there for heavies" at least have a legitimate argument for wanting to change.
It's not about punishing the players, but the game becomes very dull if every single patch people are taking a respec to get themselves into whatever is 'the best' at the time. I'll admit, this kind of balancing stuff should've been happening during the beta, and CCP completely squandered a year and a couple months they could've been using to make balance changes frequently in order to find a proper balance amongst the content.
However, I do think that my fellow players need to wake up and smell the self-entitlement that is rife on the forums with requests like this. Especially in this case, people massively overreacting and claiming that their SP in Caldari logi is useless, is far,far,far from the truth. If CCP would listen to us on the CPM and actually tell you what they told us about logi suits in the future (HINT HINT, GAME DESIGN) You guy would mostly be as satisfied with the changes as I am.

Actually this sort of whining is exactly what will bring it about. I didn't just spent SP on the suit itself, I built all my other skills around it too. I could justifiably ask for more of a refund than I'm getting but all I want is the SP I spent on a much better version of something back because CCP changed something 2 months down the line I had no way of foretelling and they never said was going to happen.
If I don't, fine. You can all laugh maniacally as the player-base drops even lower and the game itself stays stale. Who really wins in that scenario? |

If you genuinely really think your meta-gaming tactic of whining/threatening to quit will work, then I think you need to re-adjust your mindset. Rebalancing off all items will continue to occur; and minor adjustments like the above do not require CCP to enable people to respec instantly to the next FOTM. |

Minor adjustments? I don't think you've read them all. The 40 CPU reduction alone is a major hit. That's 50 CPU with 5/5 in Electronics, and more with CPU-increasing modules. So basically on any suit you have now it's the equivalent of removing a module slot....and that's just one of the changes.
I honestly don't care if they give the SP back. I don't get much enjoyment from the game anymore anyway...just saying if they don't, then the decision to stay or not is a lot easier for me. |

You know, it really probably is best if you, me and others do take occasional breaks from the game. The only real impediment to doing so is the inability to 'stack' your unearned active SP each week because of the weekly SP reset. This leads directly to AFKing, feelings of entitlement and burnout.
There are many things missing from this game right now; and staying so close to it really makes the pace of development feel really slow. |

I love playing this game and will continue to do so I love my suit and I love being a logi. I do not want a respec but please consider all options before doing the CPU nerf I would rather lose a high slot. Thanks CCP for such a great game! |
