Yeah bonus to reg is worthless. Annoying that I have Armor Plating 3 and only Shield Regulation 1. So now I'm supposed to go out there with less shielding and much less armor (if I want to use my bonus) so I can have slightly less delay than before. Thankfully the shield regulator bonus is temporary, but I feel like Cal Logi is suddenly UP and Cal Assault...we'll see. How could they release the game when they knew from the beginning that not even all the suit bonuses worked? They just admitted that the reload bonus has never worked. |

FWIW: I've already downgraded to a GEK in order to fit proto uplinks and quantum adv nanos. Caldari Logis aren't the super equipment logis. That's for gallente.
Caldari Logis aren't anything now.

Disagree. They arguably have 2 utility low slots they could use for hacking modules, biotics, or stealth mods. They would NOT be in CQC with that fit, but be able to sneak around to deploy equipment much better.
Have you played this game? You can't spend a match "sneaking around" deploying equipment and expect to help your team win. You have to shoot things. Logis need survivability to stick with the squad and support. They don't need to be in the front but the need to be in the mix. And anyways, that's the proto logi. I don't have the skills to run that an won't for a while. And when I do I wont be able to run it all the time.
If Gallente are the super equipment logis (with armor rep bonus that fits them), Minmatar are the stealth hacking logis (maybe also meh. I don't know), Amarr are the armor repping / sidearm logis, what are Caldari logis now? The super short shield recharge delay logis with one less equipment and 20-33 less CPU?

If you dont know how to use a calculater you shouldent be working as a gamedeveloper. The caldari logi is still MUCH stronger then anyother suit.

Most logi run 3 shield extenders that is a 51 hp nerf from that alone really big deal?? lol then 20 reduction to cpu.. well joke... again most logi use cpu upgrades and with a complex they have way more the 20 even 50 reduction wouldent change squat
I'm not sure what most run but if you run 4 extenders and a shield energizer (because you're true logi and focused on survivability) then this costs you 66 HP. That's a big deal. The CPU reduction might not affect someone using a CPU upgrade. It depends. It would be nice if they told us why the CPU instead of leaving us to speculate.

I'm sure if someone did the math they would find that the CPU nerf doesn't have much affect on a Cal Logi using a CPU upgrade but more on one that foregoes equipment for the Assault Logi fit. We'll see. Cal Logi was a bit OP compared to other logi suits so....now that I've vented most of my rage and frustration I'm willing to exercise some patience and see how this plays out. Shields are OP compared to armor so this may be balanced. |

How are you so butthurt that your role now works as intended? The only way you are whining this hard was by taking advantage of a faulty bonus that should never have made it past playtesting.

Try changing from a rep tool to your weapon while being shot at by a duvolle and tell me our 87 ehp more than that assault really make a difference. No instead you want to cry because toe to toe you may lose. Hell don't go head on then. Scouts don't cry they can't head on a heavy. Logo's rarely even head on a heavy. It's called battle tactics. Cal Logos had a good balance for their roles. Others needed better bonuses, not a Nerf to Cal's. Also Toyboi, you have no clue what your talking about. So do everyone a favor and stop. We have now essentially become scouts with no sidearm and brightly colored target suits and less speed.
Bottom line is:
balance between Assault and Logistics looks like this...
sidearm vs equipment
more speed and stamina vs higher EHP
the first one is working as intended
but now Caldari and Gallente logis are slower than assault with about the same EHP. less in the case of Caldari Assault.
...but Gallente can use better and more equipment |

Yeah especially considering most Assaults try to fit 2 damage mods. Maybe it's a stealth nerf to Caldari Assault too. CCP has the statistics. The probably saw that Caldari are dominating. At proto this makes you choose between 10-19% more damage or 165 more HP. Most will probably still choose damage. So really Proto Cal Assault are getting 33 HP more from 2 shield extenders and 10% slower reload time. That's a nerf. |

Moving the efficacy bonus of extenders to the assault class will just make the Caldari assault OP.
Look again. Caldari Assault get a 2% bonus, not 5%, to shield extenders, and if they want to fit more than 2 extenders they have to sacrifice damage mods...so in effect proto assault is getting a 10% buff to 2-3 extenders, as opposed to the logi getting 25% on 4-5. And this in place of 10% faster reload time, which is more useful and independant of modules.
TL;DR
The new Caldari Assault bonus is a nerf. (Basically they're trying to address the imbalance of shield vs armor in a roughshod, spackle it together, that'll do for now kinda way.) |

CCP please reconsider changing Caldari Assault, or at least explain your reasoning. The reload bonus is much more in character with the class and it's more fun. I was looking forward to that bonus and the satisfaction of a fast reload of my AR. I also was looking forward to speccing into shotgun and catalyzers and using the reload bonus on the shotgun. This new bonus has no life, no character. Don't snatch out the soul of the Caldari Assault. |

A-Logi is now viable, with a PG upgrade, a Sidearm at all slots (I'd die a whole hell of a lot less), and the same amount of Equipment slots at my current level starting at ADV (3), and a nice bonus. Perfect balance for a defensive and offensive role, one that I'd like to fill.
I've put as much SP as I did into dumb stuff (With no MLT variant, so I couldn't know if it was good or not. I had to skill into Weaponry Level 4 so I could try out the PC... Caldari Scout/Logi LAVs, Assault Derpships, and the like) that isn't even that good for my particular playstyle. I'm at about 6.5 million SP, in advanced suits, the WRONG suit, and with about 80-90% of my SP into stuff I couldn't have known any better about.
Some people didn't get Logistics for an Assault role. Some people got it so they could support their squad. So respecs aren't a super dumb thing to ask for when the A-Logi is finally viable to fill a nice role. C-Logis? 80% of them got it for the Logi-Assault hybrid class. To them, I'd say no respec. The other 20%, however, who originally wanted something that is now fixed, I say go ahead. And I bet you a trillion ISKies that I'll get a 'It's your fault for not knowing better idiot' on this. And honestly, what would you do if you were put in my/our situation? Because I'm not HALF of what I could be right now.

You could also drop down a level in grenades or one equipment or both (or two equipment) and replace one or both enhanced regulators with complex (one equipment or grenade per regulator.) With 2 complex regulators delays would be 1.6 and 2.6. |

This is the game balancing its self out this is what makes the potential of this game beautiful. You people have got to understand that in order for this game to be diverse we have got to have diffrences which means unequal. If you constantly complain to ccp to balance this game you won't have one people will leave. That may work in eve, but in a game where fighting is up close and personal, your reflexes and decisions depend on the knowledge of consistent mechanis working the same way, of the ranges and distances of your play style along with the equipment we shoot and throw, we like our games that are in full release not be tinkered with so frequently, I don't know who is giving you your advice ccp but take it from a fps from the days of quake, doom, right through to halo 1 ce for pc, bf, cod, and many others if you want a strong market to sell the goods made by the space nerds in eve to then you have to make basic things like suits and guns sacred, that's our base our foundation, leave them alone. As for the theme of dust I thought it was "your war your way" but apparently its our war their way..... `Sigh. As a, primarily, FPS player I can sympathies with you on some points. The only real thing wrong with this is that you are looking at it from only one side (FPS) and seem to be forgetting the fact that this is also an RPG. It's not really possible to focuse solely on fixing the FPS for if they did then the RPG aspect would be flawed to a point that people on the other side of the fence would leave. It's not easy to make everyone happy ya know? If they try to fix the FPS the the RPG lovers will qq that CCP doesn't care, and as you and virtually everyone that has complained so far has proven, the opposite is true if they fix an RPG element. It's gotten to the point were I think CCP has made peace with the fact that, as the saying goes, "you can't please everybody" and are expecting players to leave. To me that just means getting rid of more QQers. Those that are in it for the long run will stay nomatter how much they dislike the changes as they know were the game is going, and it is that future that keeps them going, and it is those players that keep CCP working hard on achieving that dream. If you feel you have to put the game down for a bit then do so as CCP would rather you take a breather then come back then to leave for good. Rather you believe in CCP or not, you still have a voice and CCP is trying there best to hear you... but it's hard to hear one person when there are thousands screaming at the same time, ya know . For now I say goodbye and when you get back I will be here and willing to squad up with you, and anyone else that's willing to get there feat wet.
`sigh. Another great game of DUST . Screw the thousands, listen to the people buying the elite packs, passive, and active boosters everymonth and paying real money for virtual gear, we are keeping it alive so we should have the voice .
Lets hope that they give us one last respec once the game gets out of beta. |

However, I will say this- a former corpmate put things in perspective - war far is about finding the "one up " and finding the exploit - I say to the Cal logi assault, you did good and you found a great exploit- but now it has been dealt with -
That same corpmate also said- "Dust, like Eve, is about adaptation"
SO TO THE CAL LOGI I SAY "ITS TIME TO ADAPT" -
The CPU nerf was too much. Shoulda just been the bonus. Cal logis are too one dimensional now. You can generally be sure they either have no armor or no equipment. The End. |

However, I will say this- a former corpmate put things in perspective - war far is about finding the "one up " and finding the exploit - I say to the Cal logi assault, you did good and you found a great exploit- but now it has been dealt with -

SO TO THE CAL LOGI I SAY "ITS TIME TO ADAPT" - The CPU nerf was too much. Shoulda just been the bonus. Cal logis are too one dimensional now. You can generally be sure they either have no armor or no equipment. The End. Tell that to the CaLogi I was in squad with last night. She had a GEK, hives, needle, and (I think) a flux repper. Not sure what level regulators she was using, but she pretty much started recharging shields under fire. The problem with all CaLogis is that they were spoiled with the large CPU pool. Now you guys have to pick and choose what to fit just like everyone else.
If we were spoiled then all other logis are still spoiled. We're the only ones that are pure and spotless. It's kinda lonely. They should just take away a low slot from proto and add an equipment slot and give us back our CPU. |
