The Scope: Reporting to you LIVE. The radical terrorist group from Mordu's 514th Legion have been put to an abrupt and tragic end. The combined forces of New Eden were sent in to destroy every mercenary after the rogue legion successfully developed clone super soldiers. Wow, I thought I'd never see the day. This is certainly unexpected to me, by now I had given up on the whole Dust 514 idea more than ever since I started playing in 2012.
Really glad to see that CCP decided not to ditch the whole thing for good. Please do it right this time!

Dear CCP: i have only been playing for about 2 years but once i started playing this game i couldnt give up. The community was one of the things that stood out, hearing about how corps would actualy meet in real life to get to know eachother and have meetings. The community is great, but so is ccp with keeping intouch with that. My message too CCP is that "the customer is always right" and i believe they (ccp) understands this, and they prove it by listening to us the players. So keep it up ccp! I look forward to more of The Eve Universe!....
P.s. Dust 514 was the most interesting fps/rpg i have ever played, it was creative, unique, difficult to master but satifying to overcome. It had a great leveling system that made each of my characters feel unique and different but still me. Just an amazing game! so many really kool aspects of the game i loved but i dont want to make this too long lol. Thank you CCP for your hard work! |

Sad to hear but definitely excited for the future. Not sure if I'll actually play but hopefully the PC version can fully fulfill the potential of dust. The idea is still great even if the ps3 came up short.

I hope dust 514 got a port to ps4 so it can live on and continue with warlord updates until things got develop on the pc so you guys can do a big update on the ps4 . i can see now new dust is a pc exclusive. Good luck on pc...... PC master race with full of hacker noobs. .... Dust 514 close beta vet since 2013 long live dust 514. |

It better take a long time, to get it right! Looking at 3 to 4 years minimum, If CCP was smart they would start their own kick starter so they can hire out side consultants to give them the help they clearly need with a FPS, if you starter it we will pay! Sure CCP can polish a tu rd but asking for it to work right in a environment that fails on hills and steps and invisible walls and floors and getting stuck in perma falls now that's another story. I really do like CCP been with eve for a long time and Dust was the only reason i had to touch my PS3 I already had, I've made a lot of friends here and wouldn't trade the experience for anything, they just really need help getting a FPS right, its one thing to be in space that nothing really matters, its another when the floor is the players worst enemy when fighting on a hill!

Not sure if you know this or not, but the ps3 emulator on PC is a really easy way for hackers to hack games on consoles, its called cheating why stop with codes? creating lag and forced log outs of anyone that gets in your way of your win sound familiar? Playstation really dont care about there old console any more the love there new baby more

Just play black ops 2 or 3 for the ps3 and you will see that consoles are just at risk of "modders" as the pc is at "hackers".

I feel your pain man. To be fair though, CCP has always done an incredible job making EVE Online look as pretty and functional as possible while limiting the hardware required to run it. I'm sure the performance will be high at the very beginning with Unreal 4 Engine, but I am confident that CCP will try to reduce performance requirements so that more people can play. Remember that they are running on one big server. Throw in Valkyrie, Gunjack and this new FPS in the mix, CCP is going to have to make games that are on par with EVE's glorious golden fleet while making it run as well as a Minmatar interceptor equiped with a MWD.

I think you guys really had something it just wasn't executed properly, was a great effort though but I think that engine issue at the very beginning just restricted everything.. The ps3 was powerful enough to run games like skyrim, gta, cod, fallout.. Hopefully you guys will learn from this experience and maybe we'll see a ps5 Dust :)
