It's good to hear from CCP about whats going on. I had a few hunches and you (the Devs) dropped a few clues for us. It helped. I trust you guys are doing your best to lay out the greatest opportunity for this game to thrive. Not Dust514, but the idea of it. I will say, because my experience with CCP, that I will stand with the ranks of the Dust 514 players who are doubtful. I will be eagerly waiting for the fanfest livestream to see what you guys are going to do. In the meantime, I will be reading the forums, supporting #PORTDUST514 and keeping up with the BIOMASSED team with their Sunday podcasts. War be with you.

Just play black ops 2 or 3 for the ps3 and you will see that consoles are just at risk of "modders" as the pc is at "hackers".

I feel your pain man. To be fair though, CCP has always done an incredible job making EVE Online look as pretty and functional as possible while limiting the hardware required to run it. I'm sure the performance will be high at the very beginning with Unreal 4 Engine, but I am confident that CCP will try to reduce performance requirements so that more people can play. Remember that they are running on one big server. Throw in Valkyrie, Gunjack and this new FPS in the mix, CCP is going to have to make games that are on par with EVE's glorious golden fleet while making it run as well as a Minmatar interceptor equiped with a MWD.

Howdy howdy future cadavers. Here is my opinion on the NOVA footage from fanfest. It looks nice. It looks beautiful, AAAaaand it can get all the fat and trimmings that the game needs with PC, but if it plays like COD I'm out. Team Fortress 2 is the single most successful shooter out there and available for PC (hintity hint hint CCP) and the teamwork aspect is very similar to Dust514. (support, heavy, sniper, ect.)
As for how they are doing different suit setups, from What I saw of the Videos, I see more of an equipment based solution. The rather confusing mix of different tiered gear, cpu/pg, slots, and appropriate skills seen in dust is what drove a lot of new players away and set up the dev team to constantly tweak 20 things when one thing was changed. (which is what I think CCP Rattati meant when he said "get away from the MMO aspect" I.e. Get away from how eve sets up ships) That doesn't mean I don't want customization, but keeping it simple means they can focus on adding more content while relieving headaches.
As a side note to the 6v6 and lack of levels ect., (Fiend, this is for you), it was a DEMO!!! For a DEMO, it looked fantastic. Can't wait to see more and here's to hoping for a good game.
