Why are you all so excited? Theres no real content here, just a bunch of shiny garbage. When are we going to be rid of silly mechanics like bullet magnetism and put skill back into the game? When will we have some sort of open world option that would make this a real MMO instead of a COD in space lobby shooter? None of the stuff you are adding is taking us to where we need to be.

Currently, you cannot choose to have multiple of a module or anything like that. And if such a feature existed in the future, I think you'd either have to restrict or obliterate the Augmented Ammunition Facility, because then it'd be really really OP.

There is no magic bullet to either issue where someone can say "this is going to be fixed this release" and then someone sits down and does it. That isn't to say improvements won't happen, but more to say that you shouldn't expect that if there is nothing new in a given set of patch notes that it isn't something CCP wants to do or is working on.
The big match experience changes in this release are not getting dumped in battles that are over and hopefully making AFKing not worth doing, leading to more people in match doing their jobs (which may have some team balancing effects).

The matchmaking system is disgustingly awful. I haven't had a match that was a fair fight in months. Every single match involves either getting owned no matter what I or my team does, or just shitting on the other team without even trying. The game STILL consistently puts a single squad of top-tier players on one team and nothing but randoms on the other.
Queue-syncing also means you can do that with 2 or more squads easily because the matchmaking system - for some stupid reason - can't even counter that. Matchmaking is one of the primary factors that's keeping virtually everyone who plays this game from staying.

Under this new model I fear that the task of achieving the weekly cap, which already takes almost the full week as is for a sniper, will be unachievable.

Very nice update. Starting to spur some more interest from an old vet
Only area of concern is the SP based on WP for veterans. I believe this may have a bigger impact on veteran pilots that fly a support ship. The fix to MCRU may have a positive effect on those running it and increase WP but considering the role is still lacking in ways to earn WP, it may not be enough to make up for the change. There are may factors to it and I can comment once I experience how much of a increase/drop the changes make.

There has been some discussion about this since I started my 3D project within the CPM. Translating a profile view to 3D isn't easy so some license has to be taken.
Considering an MCC is roughly 120m long and 40m wide, we can assume that the bay's in the side of the Warbage are at least big enough to accept the width of an MMC docking. Give 10m either side for clearance and the larger of the bays is 60m wide.
Using that as a fixed proportion, you can deduce that a Warbarge is roughly 840m long m and 210m high and wide. (There is art of the top view)
While making the 3D model at full scale I would guesstimate that it can safely hold 3 MCC's plus all the support gear, labs and subsystems.
You have to remember that the Warbarge is a flying garage, full of ground attack gear and cobbled together from what the mercs can scavenge. One they get practiced at it, I think it safe to assume that they'll be trying create Warbarge more suited to their ethical style.

I think you can take it as an indication that they aren't in this patch.
They are always working on performance issues and add them whenever they are ready to added. The improvements we have had In the past weren't targeted for X point point build but rather when they worked and not before.

I'd love to be able to walk around out Warbarge and I know CCP would love that too.
But resources are finate of course. As the game progresses and hopefully grows more resources can be afforded to it. And there are likely things that need fixing first as priority before that time.
But here's hoping.

I remember WarBarges being described at EVE Vegas as being the size of Orcas, and the original DevBlog for MCCs described them as 200 meters long.
This game just keeps getting smaller and more disappointing over time.
Also, a 120 meter ship for just one player? EVERY player?

I have this to say, with the new stuff strongboxes can give us, is there any way to just remove strongboxes from the daily mission loot pool and make keys appear there more often instead? I know you want to sell keys, which is fine, but you gotta give enough free keys out to get people hooked. |

I don't mean to be that guy who only has a complaint..... but could they make faction versions if it's just and 2D image anyway. That barge looks really.... Caldari. Could CCP just change the flags in the warbarge loading screen and call the warbarges Mordu? I could deal with that, it couldn't be too hard to just change the flags.

Love the idea of Faction BPO's but shouldn't we be able to get them for LP as well. It would kinda suck if you get a Caldari BPO but aren't specced into anything Caldari. Unless we get P2P trading, then that would make sense.

The problem is the lore excuses one can come up with for this barge is immensely vast and still can remain sensible; we could bid our time and let ccp come up with it; or maybe we can pressure them to use a well thought out fan fic. (Definetly not hynox material)

That'd be a great idea if getting a key wasn't akin to playing the bloody lottery. You know how many of these damned things I have, bloody near 300 and I've been occupied since they've been deployed. (I know a guy with over 1k)
Ask me how many keys I've acquired from salvage and missions combined, then of those how much was of any use.
Honestly if you're going to put a heavy emphasis on the strong boxes keys need to be dropped in missions (that don't require aur)or make them crafted items.

Spawning and End of Match I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this, it goes a long way to preventing afkers but still allows new players for afking to be profitable. Also spawning at the end of a match fix was much appreciated.

Yes please, I always wished for the republic commando and I know that many players also wished for these missing content.

Gameplay Love the new warbarge, looks awesome, but the fact that you can buy the parts for aurum just makes this game more pay to win and not play to win as it was intended. However I do understand that the objective of companies is to make profit. I don't know how I feel about the experimental weapons, they sound just like officer weapons though slightly different that you can make yourself. These better not be available for aurum.

Visuals
Can't go wrong here, this might give me a reason to actually use the 50 copies of the hunter scout I have. Awesome with fixing the apex suits as I often use the APEX vX.1 nomad. Militia BPO dropsuits also needed these changes, it would say in the description that it was a different colored suit but when you did the open viewer it looked no different. Thought not a Plasma cannon user I'm sure many of them appreciate the new effect.

Bug Fixes and Polishes
Awesome, as I said before I appreciate not being put into battles about to end, also I have been praying to Rattati forever to have the 'restock to' option. Also appreciate the Loadout dropsuits change, this'll make it easier in the future if I ever by aurum again to choose the suit I want. Never had the 'vehicle falling through map glitch' although it would be good for you to fix glitch that doesn't let you deploy your vehicle even when you are in the middle of a road. Thank you for allowing me to disable the Auto Inertia dampener, now I can fall and not be killed because all enemies in a 30 meter radius heard a huge boom. Overall awesome bug fixes.

whats up with the myo fibs jump height increase?? I like every patch because the gameplay changes and you have to adapt but with this next one it seems like all we are getting is pretty stuff....I like the pretty stuff but i want to jump over people and shot them in mid air and do a bunch of other stuff..... we need more maps that put an emphasis on mobility....tighter spaces, more boxes to jump on...hard to reach areas.... we need vertical game play!!!

Now tell me will the free generated warbarge components be just as rare like those damn decrypted keys? If thats the case then you can go and shuv that thing into a dark spot where the sun doesnt shine.
Dont even dare it to say that decrypted keys are common outside of the AUR marketplace or i will find you and throw you off manus peaks cliff.
One more thing: -10 for adding vehicle BPO's that you can only aquire trough strongboxes. Nobody wants those silly crates, so just add the BPO's onto the market, put a decent AUR pricetag on it and be done with it.

You notice that there are more slots in the UI screen for further expansion.. It's not outside the realm of possibility that a racial makeover could go into the slot at some point.

When you say "open world option", do you mean the ability of a squad to drop into a Low or Null sec Planetary District that is infested with Rogue Drones, destroying their Hive and looting a cache they were protecting?
All the while under constant threat of another squad lurking in the background cloaked up waiting to ambush you once the Drones are vanquished in order to steal the rewards of all your hard work?

Get a cargo container ship line the top boxes with interlocking flight deck. the boxes will also contain equipment to maintain aircraft. The idea of using civilian crafts and vehicles for war purpose has been an age old practice and it is considerably practical; cheap; efficient. Have Vtol birds instead.
Concord may be involved in the war barge issuing as they are for immortal pilot training. Concord's primary role is to ensure that immortals do not get too out of hand so a free war barge may be a means of control. After all they can track all capsuleer ships with unnerving accuracy.

Also, Outer Ring Excavations (ORE) has always designed mining ships for surviving in hostile regions of space. The Skiff and the Prospector come to mind and those ships can be fitted to defend themselves. In fact, some Capsuleers in Eve Online have even used the Skiff as an effective gate camper due to its very high scan resolution (for fast locking speed) coupled with battleship-like tanking abilities. The only downside with this is that the Skiff doesn't have a turret nor missile hardpoint and it limited to tackling and energy draining. But man, that thing can sure tank.

But that's why I fully support Legion on PC and hope it'll come true some day. Until then I have fun taking a small look into dust every few months with the new patches.

We have 14 slots available and only 5 modules so far. No duplicates allowed. So well... there won't be much of variety to begin with. Not for now at least.

It doesn't really help the NPE that much all it does is slightly accelerate their isk and SP gain. It doesn't teach players the aspects of the game or help players match with people of their player skill . |

the main thing is it saying Primary weapon, can we get some clarification as to what that is? its a little vague i guess if its a flat damage bonus to vehicles as well as suits then its the main turret on a vehicle than the 2 small turrets, but for dropsuits will both weapons on a commando be boosted or just one?

It's just a theory, really. The premise is that veterans need to hit a minimum amount of WP to get rewards at the end of the match, give it time and they'll figure out what that minimum is and the minimum amount of effort to exploit it.
That's how I'd do it, at least. Just use equipment to ensure I hit the minimum and then tie the rubber-band to the analog stick.

sorry man but this "q-syncing" is the thing that breaks the fun for "newbs in pubs" and semi advance players in FW, giving the fun match for the q synced player totally destroys for the rest.
Broken fun in pubs for new bros equals smaller player base thus limiting development funds and so on and so forth you know for dust to grow and the magic circle is closing itself
team deploy should be only for PC/raids IMO
q syncs should be prevented asap, no equality in power in pubs or FW, because as you, me and the rest of vets know team play is op and spawning 2x6 man squads against randoms on the other side can have only one outcome
q syncs option in battle finder would only increase and divide small community in pub contracts also
so no IMO team deploy for PC/rads 8 man for FW and 4 man for pubs would fix a lot of imbalance in game modes

I do agree that a Q-sync team against a bunch of blueberries is unfair but it shouldn't be taken away.

q syncs option in battle finder would only increase wait time and divide small community in pub contracts also and in FW so you know longer timer for a match more boredom leading into leaving players etc. so IMO it is bad idea

But going 0-27 means you need to improve ALOT and the human nature is if you are not forced to do it then they will never do it. Plus when you see stompers on your team you have something to look up to and get a idea what you want to become.
We are in some way Idols, blueberrys and redberrys want to be like us and that gives them the incentive to improve their game. You will never know if you improved when matched up vs the same scrubby players. You only know if you gotten better at the game when you face the same guys again and see if you are performing better this time.

To be fair it is not a "recycled art asset" it is the original art asset, back in the day we only had the Caldari MCC and the Warbarge was decorated accordingly with the given assumption that both were manufactured by the Caldari given the off-hand comments on the old boards and the irc.
They just never "updated it" as there are certainly other higher priority issues.

The idea seems like it'll lead to travel between planets and stuff (but then I thought Warbarges weren't that mobile), which was once a major issue when it concerned the player market as players had to be within a station to trade there. I mean, I like the idea as it currently is but it also seems like it's giving you extra stats, so I hope it leads to something more.
But then I haven't played the game in about a year or more (I had to stop playing like a month or two before the Cloaks came upon us) so I might've just lost contact on what's going on here :V.

New bros quit after getting their teeth kicked in match after match, dday after day. They dont aspire to become good, they leave, period. Ive tried to get some of my old clan mates from other games to play, but most leave after 4 days. Really good players too, just not patient enough to deal with proto death squads all day.

Hi, veteran player here who specializes in bringing a knife to a high-tech futuristic gun fight in a Minscout (aka hard-mode scout).
I have to disagree with your statement. Your concept of how new players should improve in this game is terrible. It's flawed because it's based on the premise that anyone who sucks will simply just push themselves hard enough through every stomp like a masochist strapped onto a metal rig while naked and about to have a diesel engine-powered set of dildos rammed into their assets like it's a German Wandersex.
The reality here is that most new players, even hardcore veteran players from other first person shooters, will just leave when they get stomped as hard as we see now in pub matches.
The better way of helping new players learn involves many things other than constant protostomping. We don't have a legitimate training area for new players where they can test out new weapons and vehicles, the Academy isn't even an academy at all, our basic tutorial system is lacking severely, we don't have sufficient resources to help new players especially those who don't have a PC, and our recruiter reward system is ineffective and requires pen and paper to track the progress of our recruits.

Been playing with a small squad tonight and theres something thats had me a little concerned about this whole vets not getting any SP if they don't hit a certain WP mark of what i've heard is 150wp. i've been running an Alt of mine whos gotten around 25m SP so i'm guessing is classed as a vet. the two guy i was runnign with have 38m and i think around 60m.
in an ambush we got stacked up vs a bunch of proto stomping try hards and from 9th place down we had less than 150wp meaning 7 players wouldn't have gotten any SP for that match. what worries me is that while i understand the need to eliminate AFK'ers, if the matchmaking doens't improve and players arn't going to get any SP then they're just gonna leave. if i'd tripple stacked omega boosters and i have an evening just gettign stomped by proto corps and don't earn any SP what incentive do i have to continue to play? i know i wont be the only one that feels that way and i think its goign to be a pretty risky move to implement it. perhaps have a base minimum SP that is someone only has 0sps they receive 1000sp similar to how it used to be once we hit skill cap. receiving no SP is gonna p**s a lot of players off if they're being stomped

So, I just read it. They're playing with some mighty stuff. Seeing how they took this step, I'm convinced they're really going to work towards it. I thought Phase 1-3 were exciting enough but Phase 4 makes me giddy. Unlike in the past, we don't have to worry about back and forth updates and whatnot because the main issue will not be balancing a simple weapon like an AR(which I'm sure is still not balanced) or piece of equipment. While I'm holding off on my hopes for Phase 4, just the idea being confirmed as a part of the plan makes me all excited. A new resource into EVE...wonder if it'll actually connect the games, or if it's just a resource for Dust, either way I'd still enjoy it. All we've had is clones and those are about to be a lot easier to gain, I'm guessing by the plan.
I hope the idea of jumping onto Corporate Warbarges for a Space Fight actually happens. I know it's not a priority, but a man can at least hope, can't he?

WP? 1700 I dropped some uplinks in a skirmish, killed some guys, hacked a lot of installations and the objective. Would've been better with a tank there so I could whip out a PLC and get some easy points.

Player trading would be nice as well.

Well if you look at their development plan for the long term, traveling to stations for player trading is in there for 2015. It's like Phase 2-3. Phase 4 has us gaining a new resource to mess with that's only available Dust side.

Excited for the new update, not excited about the excessive amount of frame rate issues. If money can be dropped on new features, cant you spare some to upgrade your servers to handle this? Wasn't that what the whole bandwidth addition was supposed to fix as well? I see no difference from before to now. If anything the lag has gotten worse with some of the new sockets. I really think an upgrade in your server room would be beneficial at this point. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, keep up the good work |

Me too buddy, me too. I was never around to see that feature, but am so glad it's making a return. All this time I have been meticulously restocking indiviual items on my fittings to keep the fittings stocked to 50 or 100.
This is truly a joyous moment.
EDIT: What about stacked items - if I have 3 complex ferroscales fitted and I set it to restock to 50, will it restock them upto 150 so the fitting is at 50?

I'm telling you I'm getting blown away way to easy for the suits and upgrades t hat i have. i have all fives on two of my light weapons and will have 5s on heavy machine and sidearm also soon and militia weapons are out shooting me at a distance and mid range. I'm getting robbed of kills and assists now 0 sp whats going on. Am I that bad do you want me to go. If so just say so. I thought we were having fun. |

yes after 2 battles in bush 0 sp received with booster running do to getting wiped by proto stomp squad i got 110 wp 1 battle and 70 the next this is a bad way to stop players who do nothing in battle and hurts the ones that are trying to play dont punish players 4 scotty"s bad matching ability do stop the campers and afk guys and will ccp please do something to get players to squad up i am sick of 1 squad and 8 to 10 randoms in a battle yea get use to op weapons that out range and out shoot controller players untell mouse and keyboard goes away (ck out the u tub videos of the unfair adv they have with aim and movement |

So what's the deal with ALL of my daily missions not registering??? From hacks, to instal destroys, every one of them isn't registering. Last battle was 1800 somethin sp, 9 kills, 12 kill assist and 3 hacks. Not to mention that I activated two boosters, only one registers. And just so happens that after I did, my bonus so (that was about 94k) MAgically disappeared?!!! AND, with all those points, I topped out at 1020 sp for the whole game?! WTF ccp? What's going on!?!? Not just me either, same thing with my squad mates. Any chance you are going to fix this??? It's reall FKN annoying! There's chapter of a massive walk out... Just sayin. Keep fuckin us all over after we've payed money and invested time! Pretty ****** business if you ask me... How bout we look at fixin it and put some service behind the customers. ****
