Not a new thing really. One of the older Battlefield titles had an area strike option (can't remember if mortar or air strike) that you could use. The thing that made it different in DUST is that it could be provided by other (EVE) players.

I've been spending way too much time on Crossout. I already have a half filled clan going but Clan Wars won't stay up on consoles. Oh well. Still fun to tear other players' creations apart piece by piece in Missions.

I think due to DUST, I cannot stay involved with a game unless there is some sort of actual (ie not Destiny) clan system. I think corps/clans are what others that played DUST find lacking in other games as well.
