Back then you could set a number in a fitting, so that whenever you restocked it, all contents within the fitting could only be restocked up to that number. This soothes my OCD greatly.

There is no magic bullet to either issue where someone can say "this is going to be fixed this release" and then someone sits down and does it. That isn't to say improvements won't happen, but more to say that you shouldn't expect that if there is nothing new in a given set of patch notes that it isn't something CCP wants to do or is working on.
The big match experience changes in this release are not getting dumped in battles that are over and hopefully making AFKing not worth doing, leading to more people in match doing their jobs (which may have some team balancing effects).

The matchmaking system is disgustingly awful. I haven't had a match that was a fair fight in months. Every single match involves either getting owned no matter what I or my team does, or just shitting on the other team without even trying. The game STILL consistently puts a single squad of top-tier players on one team and nothing but randoms on the other.
Queue-syncing also means you can do that with 2 or more squads easily because the matchmaking system - for some stupid reason - can't even counter that. Matchmaking is one of the primary factors that's keeping virtually everyone who plays this game from staying.

Only area of concern is the SP based on WP for veterans. I believe this may have a bigger impact on veteran pilots that fly a support ship. The fix to MCRU may have a positive effect on those running it and increase WP but considering the role is still lacking in ways to earn WP, it may not be enough to make up for the change. There are may factors to it and I can comment once I experience how much of a increase/drop the changes make.

There has been some discussion about this since I started my 3D project within the CPM. Translating a profile view to 3D isn't easy so some license has to be taken.
Considering an MCC is roughly 120m long and 40m wide, we can assume that the bay's in the side of the Warbage are at least big enough to accept the width of an MMC docking. Give 10m either side for clearance and the larger of the bays is 60m wide.
Using that as a fixed proportion, you can deduce that a Warbarge is roughly 840m long m and 210m high and wide. (There is art of the top view)
While making the 3D model at full scale I would guesstimate that it can safely hold 3 MCC's plus all the support gear, labs and subsystems.
You have to remember that the Warbarge is a flying garage, full of ground attack gear and cobbled together from what the mercs can scavenge. One they get practiced at it, I think it safe to assume that they'll be trying create Warbarge more suited to their ethical style.

I think you can take it as an indication that they aren't in this patch.
They are always working on performance issues and add them whenever they are ready to added. The improvements we have had In the past weren't targeted for X point point build but rather when they worked and not before.

I'd love to be able to walk around out Warbarge and I know CCP would love that too.
But resources are finate of course. As the game progresses and hopefully grows more resources can be afforded to it. And there are likely things that need fixing first as priority before that time.
But here's hoping.
