Everything has frikkin shadows except the two things that i am constantly looking at: Hands and gun.
And aiming was confirmed not to be part of 1.3 a few days ago iirc.

September 17th can not come fast enough. This^^^ lmfao can't wait for that day either... And these patch notes really depress me, because they still aren't addressing anything remotely close to fixing the problems, only a slight nerf to the flaylock pistol, and still absolutely nothing done for vehicles at. all. |

Yo, add this to the OP bro, because CCP Logibro is a ******* mug.
Uprising 1.3 Patch Notes:
HUD Weapon efficiency % readout now uses new absolute range setting instead of effective range, meaning it now provides info at all ranges
Dropsuits Logistics update: Gave the Amarr logistics suit an additional low slot at PROTOTYPE tier and a third equipment slot at ADVANCED tier Introduced the sidearm slot at STANDARD tier level instead of PROTOTYPE tier, so the role gets its defining characteristic from the start Increased Amarr Logistics PG: 3 at STD (up to 36 from 33), 4 at ADV (up to 50 from 46) and 6 at PRO (up to 72 from 66) Altered the shield recharge delays of all Logistics suits to be closer to Assault suits Lower Caldari Logistics CPU: 20 at STD (down to 175 from 195), 28 at ADV (down to 245 from 273) and 40 at PRO (down to 350 from 390) Adjusted Caldari Logistics and Assault bonuses as per the below: OLD: Caldari Logistics: 5% bonus to shield extenders per level Caldari Assault: 2% bonus to hybrid weapon reload speed NEW: Caldari Logistics: 5% bonus to shield regulators per level Caldari Assault: 2% bonus to shield extenders per level
Weapons Flaylock Pistols: Reduced base splash damage from 195 to 140 Reduced base direct hit damage from 218 to 165 Reduced the blast radius to 1.25 from 1.5 meters for ADVANCED tier, and from 2.0 to 1.5 meters for PROTOTYPE tier Modified ammo skill to give 1 missile per level instead of 5% per level Modified fitting skill to give a CPU bonus instead of PG Reduced ammo pool from 21 to 15 at STANDARD tier; 18 at ADVANCED tier and 21 at PROTOTYPE tier Contact grenades: Lowered ammo count to 1 Homogenised PG/CPU Homogenised blast damage and radius
UI Chat channel name limit increased to 60 characters Enlarged the Aurum purchase window and added show info button
Visuals Added shadow-casting on the first person hands and weapon
Bug fixes and polish Fixed an issue that could cause deployable equipment to become unusable Fixed an issue by which changing seats in a vehicle could cause the player to become invisible Fixed an issue wherein the player could be killed by a flux grenade Fixed an issue with the overheat system, where turrets and infantry weapons would fire indefinitely without depleting ammunition Fixed an issue affecting the laser and scrambler rifles, whereby reloading during the cooldown rendered the weapon unable to shoot Fixed a low level issue that was causing several infrequent crashes and hangs Fixed an infrequent crash when loading a Skirmish match from the Instant Battle tab in the Battlefinder Fixed an erroneous corruption message when loading a Skirmish match from the Instant Battle tab in the Battlefinder Removed shadow artifacts appearing on flat surfaces [*] Smoothed out the animation of players in the distance |

I realized you were being sarcastic and I actually found your comment kinda funny in a sarcastic kinda way, I just think the aiming is good enough!
And here's something that may blow your mind -> Dust is free!! Why are you paying for it if you're not happy with it?! I now understand why you're pissed; I've not spent a penny on the game yet and the aiming is fine for me and whilst admittedly I'm not the best FPS gamer, I have played FPS games for a long time. I played the hell out of the original Counter strike and Wolfenstein was probably the very first FPS I played (and very probably the first FPS game ever) so yeah, I'd say I have a pretty solid point of comparison!!
But you're absolutely correct, we are all entitled to our opinions but I see far too many people whining about a game that's free and even though I've only been playing for a couple of months but I personally love the game! |

Wolfman is still actively working on it, and apparently things are going well. If we're lucky it will be in 1.4, but I'm not expecting it until at least 1.5 or 1.6. |

And these patch notes really depress me, because they still aren't addressing anything remotely close to fixing the problems, only a slight nerf to the flaylock pistol, and still absolutely nothing done for vehicles at. all. an over 25% nerf across the board is "slight"? Yes because the flaylock was way too powerful. (It will still be better then the scrambler and SMG.... Well not the scrambler if you can use it right...) So what your saying is 25% wasn't enough of a nerf? I don't know. We'll see when they deploy 1.3. |

Im a little scared.
With the new improves the AMARR LOGI will have im scared they will be the next OP LOGI/ASSAULT
I understand the sidearms slot in every one of them, but also a low powered slot on proto? I know this is well intended and i would love it if good logis could use this suit, but im thinking here of what dust has the most, TRY HARDS.
With 7 SLOTS, (Same as assaults), more PG and CPU, More equipment slots, 2 AWESOME specialization bonuses and the ONLY drawback being less speed and less stamina makes me think that anyone wanting to go assault WITHOUT using laser weapons might use this suit.
Think of the possibilities. -AR or light weapon of choice, say, MASS DRIVER -Sidearm of choice
-2 Complex shield EXT -1 Complex damage mod - 1 complex kinetic - 1 complex repair - 1 armor plate of your choosing. - 1 armor plate of your choosing or Stamina enhancers.
-Equipment of your election.
we would have powerful Assaults that are not even stopped with Flux grenades. Speedy shield regen. Speedy Armor regen MED-High HP (482 total HP with lv 4 passiveskillsand 2 complex shield extenders, No armor plates included here) Decent speed, as per default at complex level kinetic will give a total speed of 7.48 sprinting. And they dont even have the disadvantage other logis have from lacking sidearm.
So , imean IM HAPPY FOR LOGIS, specially amarr one, but CCP should THINK this well before just buffing them into the next OP suit.
I just hope the speed and stamina are enough to stop assault players into spec'ing into these suits, but one never knows.... |

Yay, massive chunks of CPU taken off the cal logi suit, that wont completely ******* break the suit at all Changing the skill bonus was all well and good and was actually needed, ******* with the CPU so its got drastically less than any other logi suit was a ******* ridiculous idea and is only going to force them into playing pseudo assaults |

Sadly, there are many of us that are like this. We have spent so much time and effort into gaining SP in hope of what this game could become that we hate to walk away from it.
As I said in another thread, 1.4 will be the defining patch of this game. It will either keep people interested in it or will be the final reason that many vets give up. If that patch doesnt satisfy people, it will be another month or two before any new content comes out.
You will lose people to GTA5 and then people will just sit and wait for PS4 to be released. Major clans want one thing, fun through competition where skill and tactics are the determining factors. The reason that DUST had such promise is that we felt that weapon and vehicle diversity would allow for skill to be shown through different avenues. They continue to fail to give players the diversity they want beyond the vanilla AR and Tanks.
Heavies and Scouts have been screwed over time and time again. Vehicles have been twisted six ways from Sunday (LLAV more survivability than a tank).
All the while, CCP does their best to pay lipservice to people about better communication and then go back to the same ol same ol.

What's so special about the 1.4 patch? Everyone keeps on mentioning the 1.4 patch. I really don't think that 1.4 is gonna save this game, more like 2.0 |

we would have powerful Assaults that are not even stopped with Flux grenades. Speedy shield regen. Speedy Armor regen (about 12.5 per sec with only 1 complex armor rep) MED-High HP (482 total HP with lv 4 passive skills and 2 complex shield extenders, No armor plates included here) Decent speed, as per default at complex level kinetic will give a total speed of 7.48 sprinting. I just hope the speed and stamina are enough to stop assault players into spec'ing into these suits, but one never knows.... I really think the a CPU/PG increase so that you can equip PROTO stuff on the few slots you have is good, Side arms for all versions, good, But extra low slot it pushing it too far. I predicted CAL LOGIS being the next OP suit, and right now, mark my words, im telling you, put 1 extra low slot and soon you will see the new bumblebee army, now impervious to Flux grenades....

Aimings gotten so bad when i see a fast assault suit or scout suit running, i have to aim behind him to hit him to hit his hitbox rather than him, theres also issues where the game overcompensates when you make slight adjustments while aiming, meaning the movements on the controller wont always translate to the same movements on screen. This update was a few hard-nerf bats not thought out, and a buff to the amarr logi. And a few unimportant glitch fixes. Oh and don't forget the shadows!... |

There's a lot wrong with it, and unfortunately it's a little hard to explain. But as a console FPS vet, it's very easy for me to tell that its current form is well below par.
Some things that are currently not working ideally: the input curve, acceleration curve, aim assist, input lag, deadzone. Essentially what this boils down to is that feeling where it's impossible to make small precise movements to track a moving target or to line up headshots. As well as the CQC "dance battles" that result from sluggishness and inconsistency. Though there are other issues as well like framerate and hit detection which compound the problem.
Some people will say that aiming in Chromosome was fine, but the truth is it wasn't. It was arguably overall better than it is now, but the aiming system needed to be rewritten, which is currently what's going on. |

Hi guys,
I see a bunch of different things being mentioned here so I thought IGÇÖd quickly let you know whatGÇÖs going on with them.
Amount of stuff in 1.3 GÇô This was an intentionally short release to give us a trial run of the new processes we have put in place to be able to deliver updates to you faster. ThatGÇÖs why it might feel a bit GÇÿlightGÇÖ. 1.4 is the 'correct' length and consequently will have more stuff.
Aiming GÇô Aiming was worked on throughout 1.3 laying the foundations for the work me and Remnant are currently doing on it for 1.4. There simply wasnGÇÖt enough time to get it all ready and tested for 1.3. The pad and the mouse will be getting an update, testing is going well. IGÇÖll have a dev blog about this soon with more details.
Vehicle tuning and 1.4 GÇô work on this has started. However we donGÇÖt want to just make small patches and tweaks here and there as we have in the past. We need to take a full pass on vehicles/turrets/modules as a whole. This as you can imagine is a lot of work. It is a priority for us but donGÇÖt expect to see significant updates until 1.5. We need a good chunk of time to get through it all..
Murder Taxis GÇô For 1.4 weGÇÖve updated the vehicle/infantry collision and damage system. I retuned the damage completely the other day and so far in my small tests itGÇÖs feeling a lot better. WeGÇÖll be testing it in our internal playtests this week so we can see how it holds up with more players.
Other bits and bobs - There is also work underway on matchmaking, AFKing and red lining. IGÇÖm not working on the matchmaking so I canGÇÖt provide you with details there right now. IGÇÖll be involved with the redline and AFK stuff this week so IGÇÖll give more info on that soon.
Cheers

This. This right here. You need to relay to your fellow Devs and Superiors that THIS is what they need to do on a more constant basis. Informing us, the playerbase, of what you guys have been doing, what you have in mind, when you expect work to be done, and addressing our concerns, in THIS manner, is helpful beyond belief.
Kudos to you Wolfman, and thank you for that.

Like, I am completely serious. Copy and paste that text into notepad, Word, or whatever. Print out multiple copies for each member of the Dev teams. Have them look over it. Have them read it again. Have them practice several times on writing little pieces like that.
You will find that we will very very VERY much appreciate it, now and in the future. |

Will the updated vehicle collision damage still allow HAVs to run over infantry? Yes they still can. Murder HAV! So from what I understand, eHP of the suit gets reflected on the LAV as collision damage, correct? If so, I think it should be 2x the eHP of the suit, so a heavy being rammed is a death sentence to the LAV, and more than one medium frame would mean you're heavily wounded. |

Nope, the LAV will not receive any significant impact damage right now. If the changes we've made don't improve matters enough that's something we can take a look at. The first large scale internal test of them is tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed. |

I don't see that bug as a huge issue right now. I don't think it's causing a significant problem and the magic numbers agree with me. I don't really like leaving bugs like that in the game intentionally though so that's something we'll need to think about. It would certainly get rolled in to the overall vehicle rebalance, the question is do we leave it in until that work rolls out... |

Agree, we will deal with those guys as part of the full pass on vehicles and vehicle related whatnots Wolfman, how do you feel about armortanks keeping there repping bug? I ask because with the bug armor tanks are not too bad. They still aren't worth the money but its feasible. Or will the vehicle balance overhaul allow the bug to be fixed while making the tank stronger. Yes I say stronger because it needs to be and petitions (as much as you hate them) all agree. I understand, but for the sake of armor tanks now we all request it is left at least until the overhaul. I understand if its ironed out with the overhaul, and I look forward to communicating with you guys and giving our opinions on the new vehicle balance. But for right now I speak for many fellow tankers, we need the repping power to stand a chance against AV. As for shield, its bitter sweet for them because It makes us hard to deal with for them but at the same time they agree with leaving the bug. Anyways please leave it until then. Look forward to speaking again (even if its short like this) thanks wolfman! |

Thank you so much for posting, CCP Wolfman.
Would it be possible to ask for a sticky Dev thread in Feedback & Requests on the topic of upcoming vehicle changes; a la https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=260029 ?
Ideally before code freeze occurs, but the point is more just creating a community think tank as a resource for future iteration on this particular topic.
I think it's safe to assume that we'd all very much appreciate it.
Looking forward to 1.4. |

I though it only changes when you get the extra slots and it does not gain additional ones... anyway the amarr logi is slow, gives up 2 slots for a sidearm that he gets at proto level and has very low PG. I dont think the sidearm slot AT PROTO level is worth that much of drawbacks. even if he gets one more slot, it will still be 1 slot behind the other logis and still be very slow.

I totally understand that. I really do. Adding new tanks while the system is buggy donGÇÖt make a lot of sense, but this would be so sweet. It would be sweet and nice to see something new at all! I have been here from the very beginning in closed beta via the fanfast key, and GǪ I just feel that a lot of time has gone by without leaving major progression. Well I use to do heave programming for a while and telling from my experience (I hate this word since Microsoft announce the xbone btw) it is easier GǪ well how I put that?
For example: having two out of four tanks makes the balancing heavier rather than having all four. This way no tank or weapons for example have to fulfill places holder tasks or other rolls and the focus would be not how to adjust this temporary role correct, it would be more on how to adjust this one role in the total sum. Kind of tricky to explain, maybe you will still understand? Like the TAC AR was/is maybe a placeholder for a rail rifle.

All weapons will have variants like this even when all the racial rifles are out.
I'm not talking about just balance. I'm talking about the core gameplay meaning aiming, hit detection, physics of the game, solid 28 FPS (AT LEAST), fixing game breaking bugs, fixing the sticky terrain, improving on movement, optimizing the games code to help performance, and plenty of other things. Also adding new content takes quite of bit of time which means we would have to wait quite a while to fully balance the game. Also CCP are always going to add new stuff that they will need to balance. Waiting for all your content to be finished before balancing is just a horrible idea.
Also Game design is VERY different then having some programming experience. I would know since I'm in college ATM for game design.

Good ****! I know everyone'll be psyched to hear that Murder Taxi is on the way out. I'm all for getting it right the first time, and taking the time necessary to ensure that. Shows you guys are picking up that "Focus" thing Hilmar talked about at FanFest.
lol your sadly mistaken if you get "murder taxi on the way out from that"....slowed and balanced... yes... out noway....if they got rid of that tactic all together it would be a huge mistake |

From what I understand, the LAV changes being tested for 1.4 are to how much damage infantry receives on impact - not the LAV taking damage proportional to what suit it hits.
So I'm wondering if this will manifest as rag-dolling (or pushing) and ~reasonably~ damaging infantry, and letting the LAV keep driving unimpeded.
It could also be as simple as increasing the amount of LAV speed required to kill, though I don't think that would solve the problem by itself.
We'll see.
Oh, and I suspect the Pilot suit will make it for 1.4 considering it's a vehicle specific suit, and 1.4 is mainly about vehicles. So that makes sense. What color will it be? I wonder. |

TBH I thuoght Flaylock only needed the RPM down to 50 like the sniper rifle. Eliminating possible spam and giving people a chance to fight back. After all the weapons problem was the it's RoF was too high permitting enormous amounts of damage in a small time frame. The Splash radius nerf does seem warranted but going from 1.25 strd ->1.5 adv -> 1.5 proto seems like they did not know what to do at proto tier. It would have been ok with 1.75 at proto level to keep in line with the advancement of the weapon. This weapon, just as the mass driver is going to be grounded till further notice because of this harsh fix. They should have done the fixes slowly like with the tac AR where they did not nerf it's damage but only it's RoF and clip size. A slower rate of fire (50RPM sniper RoF) and a diminished clip (2 at proto levels) would have sufficed in letting this weapon still exist in the hands of the players. But not be as overwhelming as it is in it's current form where there is mostly no time to fight back, just death. Instead CCP will nerf it to extinction just like they did with most weapons that where not AR. Their aproach with the TAC AR was a sound one. Clip and RoF reduction did the trick. I think CCP should have taken a note from that change instead of taking a note from the mass driver nerf that nearly made it extinct.
Summary
CCP should have taken a point or two from the TAC AR rebalance and diminished the flaylock RoF and lowered the clip count to 1 at strd and adv levels and 2 at proto levels, to keep the weapons mechanics in tact. Instead they are giving it very harsh changes that will make it somewhat underwhelming in comparison to other side arms.
P.S.
I know I might be being harsh about CCP's decision and, I want to establish that these are just my first thoughts on the subject but, I think they have taken to hammering weapon nerfs unto any weapon hastily but are being very light if any issues arise out of Assault rifles. Examples of heavily nerfed weapons; Laser Rifles (nerfed almost to extinction), HMG (Nerfed to levels where Heavies are using Assault rifles because of the better damage), Mass Drivers ( Nerfed to almost extinction; change they later had to fix)
P.S.S.
I hope this really does fix the weapon and does not cause it to be useless in the future. I just think CCP is being a bit to rash when it comes to these type of things. |

The updated collision system will push infantry to the side of the vehicle rather than just pushing them along in front of it. The vehicle will be able to carry on going. Now you will have to be going very fast to do serious damage. |

How is that aiming coming Wolfman? We're going on 2 and a half months with a horrible aiming system in a shooter. Now we know it's not going to happen in 1.3 which means another 1 and a half months. Is it in 1.4 or not? |

My take on the collision damage is that I believe it should not be the eHP (As wolfman stated it won't be already so kudos)that is transferred as damage to the LAV and that it should be armor left on the suit that is done as damage to the LAV. would bring a new meaning to having a high armor. I mean honestly shields have no mass and therefore shouldn't transfer that as damage to something that does have mass. |

Thank you for the reply CCP Wolfman! Much love.
A few more questions, if you have the time:
- Does pushing infantry aside at medium speeds damage them too? Or do they not take damage?
- What happens if I pin infantry against a wall with a vehicle? Does it deal fatal damage? Or are they pushed aside unharmed?
- Since the updated collision system pushes infantry aside, does this mean I will no longer get splattered when I bail from my LAV at speed?
On a different topic: There was discussion of changing contact grenades to be 'sticky' in a future update. Do you know if Remote Explosives will get the same 'sticky' treatment? (I want to stick RE to my team mates; enemies; LAV; HAV; Dropship; anything that can move! ) |

Regarding AFKGÇÖing:
Rather than having a bonus to passive skill point accumulation for being in a match, how about have a slightly higher passive bonus, but have it only last for 3 minutes after a trigger.
Triggers should include: - Doing damage to an enemy player. - Taking damage from an enemy player. - Anything that generates War Points.
This would not penalize new players as they are really good at taking damage. It would make AFKGÇÖing sort of pointless though. |

Are LLAVs getting impacted at all? They're waaay too resilient to damage right now. Shield Resistance Mods in general need to be tweaked to prevent EHPs going up exponentially.
Agree, we will deal with those guys as part of the full pass on vehicles and vehicle related what nots
Please do not over nerf the LLAV (Or other LAVs) survivability. Collision was the main problem and with that corrected these vehicles should remain viable as a fast attack, remote repair, and response unit. I have been using them this way for months and it is truly an enjoyable play style that requires considerable teamwork between the attack team, driver, and gunner. If EHP is over nerfed than they can no longer provide the role they were intended for.
Also, while collision damage, etc, is being worked on could you please take a look at vehicle vs. vehicle damage? Losing a 400K LLAV because you rounded a corner and lightly tapped a friendly HAV is no fun. (Damage yes - instant pop no) |

I just have to say that reading your series of responses has given me more hope concerning CCP's development team than I have felt throughout my tenure playing this game. Please, CCP Wolfman, do some more of these types of discussions with the players. These sort of discussions with the playerbase builds so much more confidence than any other type of communication.
I know you are very busy, but if you can just find a little free time, maybe create a thread that discusses a little bit about what you are currently working on. Your posts here are a great example of something to do. It would be beneficial to both sides. Players love to see what is going on behind the scenes and we can help to point out something that might be missed/abused.
Again, thanks for some insight concerning the upcoming patches. |

Good ****! I know everyone'll be psyched to hear that Murder Taxi is on the way out. I'm all for getting it right the first time, and taking the time necessary to ensure that. Shows you guys are picking up that "Focus" thing Hilmar talked about at FanFest. lol your sadly mistaken if you get "murder taxi on the way out from that"....slowed and balanced... yes... out noway....if they got rid of that tactic all together it would be a huge mistake

Three Questions Wolfman
This update seems a little relaxed when compared to 1.1 and 1.2, and Im not unhappy with the changes but I would like to know where some things stand.
Is there any work being done to rebalance or potentially add new variants to the Plasma Cannon and Laser Rifle? Theyre both under utilized and under performing atm.
Also, is there any changes being worked on for weapon skills, like what was done for the Flaylock, that are virtually useless?
A good example is Plasma Cannon Ammo Capacity, which at level four gives 10.8 rounds and level five which gives 11.25 rounds, both rounding off to two additional rounds. Issue with this is that itsabsolutely pointless to get that skill to level five and its just wasted SP. Another good example is Scrambler Pistol Fitting Optimization.
Last One thats important: Where are the ISK variants for the contact grenades?
Bonus question

Now moving on to the Commando, the suit so far has been under performing since it's release and many players using the Dropsuit keep dying a lot without even making an impact on the battlefield. The most noticeable issue right now is the shield regen rate being at 10 HP/s. Here's a link of a couple suggestions to consider when applying tweaks to the suit - https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=96476&find=unread |

* We'll be looking at the plasma cannon along with the other AV weapons as part of the vehicle rework. Can't really touch one without touching the other. So not in 1.4 but soon.
* For 1.4 we've replaced the ironsights on the laser rifle with a red dot sight similar to the one on the scrambler rifle. I want to see if this changes its performance, it does make it far easier to use and the weapon can still deal a ton of damage.
* Yes we are doing some updates to the weapon skills. Will give more info on them at a later date.

The Thukker is a PROTOTYPE contact grenade with Prototype skill requirements and resource costs.
There is no isk variant for Standard (fused locus) and Advanced (Cavity M2). Both of with areaurum only, have skill requirements to boot and also have resource costs associated as such. There is no ISK variant that has 9 cpu 2 pg.

Might I suggest you guys implement a rolling SP system along with the AFK fix? It would be extremely appreciated by everyone regardless of where they stand on the AFK issue.
Also, yea. As a scout, I hope 1.5 is our magic number. IT would go hand in hand with a sticky world fix |

If I may interject dear sir, while the iron sights are indeed a hindrance to the laser rifle I believe you will find that the largest problem, even with heating issues solved via proper dropsuit usage, is that it is a weapon which requires you to aim down the sights and track your target for an extended period of time while they slowly die.
The reason this is an issue is due to the current aiming system and the slow tracking speed while aiming down the sights of the laser rifle. The typical scenario involves you aiming, firing, cooking your opponent for half a second and then watching them panic and run off in a random direction. At this point you attempt to track them, but due to the slow speed of ADS, are typically unable to re-acquire them before you either overheat or they find cover. |

Have you changed the ability to slew the weapon while ADS so it isn't ridiculously slow and hard to aim? As much as I hate the iron sights the slow turning while ADS is the *real* killer. |

Wolfman, when can one expect for improvements to the render distance? It has reached the point of much frustration when some scrub with swarms can drop shots at me, but I have no response because I can see neither him nor his swarms.
Until this is addressed, cut the swarm range in half, because these scrubs on top of buildings a few hundred metres away who will never be drawn is absurd. They get area denial over a huge chunk of the map, and there can be no response from a tanker because they never show up.

I was wondering if there was a change to bullet dispersion well on move aka Hip Firing and strafing. I'm noticing more dispersion
Secondly, I have been talking to the AR user crowd and its a general consensus that AR Sharpshooter hardly does anything and is barely noticeable.
Anyways, I am going to do some more testing, but I just wondering if there was a change. |

Dear Devs,
Thanks for all the juicy info on this thread. Sorry I got heated about the Cal Logi changes. That hit close to home. I know yall are working hard--probably 80 hour weeks--to improve and flesh out the game as quickly as possible. I know more people are being hired to work on DUST so I hope you'll have a bigger team full of very talented people sharing the load to make the game uber-awesome.
I and others on the forums get frustrated and vent here and bemoan the plight of DUST, but that's because we care about the game. I love this game and I'm done venting hot air about my grievances. There's no point. It's like a man complaining about his wife lol! You already married her dude! Get over it! Well I'm not near that committed to DUST but you feel me. I and many others believe in DUST and in what yall are trying to do. i might not play all the time but I'll stick around and be part of the active player base and keep buying my occasional boosters. I hope and believe that there are enough of us to keep the game going as it incubates into greatness.
Say what you will about Destiny, The Division, and all the next gen stuff. DUST isn't as fleshed out as those games will be at release, but its core is at least as solid as those games and the process going on right now through which yall are evolving the game shows that no other FPS has the potential to grow and become something truly special as much as DUST. The vision is solid and the evidence is there of CCP's commitment. It can't happen fast enough for the base but I have a felling that you devs feel the same way. So we're all in the same boat and I look forward to the journey.
P.S. - When it's ready could you re-release DUST on PS4 with next gen graphics and a major marketing push? Just dreamin. ;)
Best of luck to yall and thanks for your hard work!

We can take a look at it (not right now though). It's technically possible but it will probably cause some knock on problems with the seating set up. If it did we'd probably leave it alone for now since we've got bigger fish to fry :-) |

I don't have a problem with the aiming at all and as far as "slowly dying" i use the gun almost exclusively and i kill faster than the AR. Really the only two problems i have with the gun is the iron sight (which will be fixed soon) and the fact that the ADV and PROTO versions aren't worth it since they only reduce the heat build up by a little and the feedback damage is just stupidly high (225 for proto).

Yes the speed being increased would be particularly helpful on it. I mean I don't expect to pan it 360 degrees with the flick of a wrist but right now it has issues making adjustments to a strafing target even when you're aiming down a straight corridor. I would hope it would at least have enough precision for that kind of job.
It would also help with the Assault HMG variant a good amount as you tend to be fighting at greater ranges with that weapon to begin with and it tends to have the same problem as the Laser Rifle does. Except instead of raw damage buildup over time, it takes a long time for the accuracy to really kick in on your target and by the time it finally does "Death's Engine" has them running scared in a random direction. Unfortunately Doom Mode is a bit too slow to track those targets, so its difficult to use that particular variant at the range it was intended for. |

Actually the strafe speed is slightly bugged right now. Some modifiers aren't being taken in to account properly. That will be fixed in 1.4 (but you will still have a faster strafe than in the past, don't worry) and we are currently testing the heavy with no turn limitation and increased strafe speed. Not made a final decision yet but it feels ok so far. |

What did you change/ fix I did a dev blog, it will be out in a bit You're my favorite dev now. Also will hit detection be improved as well? No big overhaul but we will be looking in to some possible bugs. We've also tested a slightly different system but we felt that it would be too much change all at once. Well make sure it's a priority. It would be nice to have better hit detection. |

Or too much change as in, potential to break everything? I'd like to know as well, if its the first one then that would be ridiculous; adapting to controls is no problems as long as they're better. |

You know the other day I was trolling with my breach scrambler pistol and fired off a rogue shot maybe a meter or two behind my target. Killed him instantly.
Bizarre stuff, it was like reverse-leading.

The second one :-) Also it's a fair bit of work.
There does seem to be an issue with client/server de-sync at times with the hit detection. That's the bug we'll investigate. |

Will the control tweaks give Dust's controls aim acceleration, by this I mean aiming starts slow and gradually gets faster like it builds momentum; this feature is standard in most console shooters. |

And by bug do you mean the friendly fire cross showing up on enemies when shooting them causing no damage. Yes this is real and it's been real since the release of uprising and has gotten worse.
Happens to standing and running/strafing people, but happens more frequently to runners/strafers |

Have you changed the ability to slew the weapon while ADS so it isn't ridiculously slow and hard to aim? As much as I hate the iron sights the slow turning while ADS is the *real* killer. Yes, we'll be increasing the ADS speed for the laser as well. ... any chance for "Doom" mode on the HMG getting an ADS buff? I actually put DOOM mode in as a joke but we all liked it so it stayed :-) By buff do you mean speed?
Im glad to see you think doom mode is a joke too. Any chance we can stop laughing at the hmg/heavy suit?
And give it some content or help?
New weapons/suits anything /timeframe?

Would really like to be able fly a dropship without weapons and use it solely as a troop transport. We can take a look at it (not right now though). It's technically possible but it will probably cause some knock on problems with the seating set up. If it did we'd probably leave it alone for now since we've got bigger fish to fry :-)
you can add 2 seats in the back of the LAV if we chose to not have a turret equipped , there is place for 2 face to face seated |

Cheers

He didn't even need to give specific dates, just a nice general time-line of events we can expect, and a little insight into what has been going on. It creates faith in CCP from the player-base :)

Bonus question Hows that Burst SMG coming along * We'll be looking at the plasma cannon along with the other AV weapons as part of the vehicle rework. * The Thukker is a contact nade

The radar malfunction is really the only problem . Free was good. Bring free back. But with free you have to pay the price like being shot out the lav. Or 2 AV kills you. But if you grind to get proto logis LAVs you deserve to go dumb in your LAV. LEVEL 1 LEVEL 3 not so much. Also im not an Heavy but I dont think that a proto Heavy should go down easily from a LAV. But the radar issue with the LAVs and the overpowered logi LAV is is the only issue, because I can make kills with packed AVs, this game isnt for dummies you have to adjust to the battle know when to take chances and when to fall back. The plus K/D will come play smart and make plays. I just excited for the future for Dust 514 Open Beta because with it being an Open Beta it can only get better best believe one day this game be the Mario of its genre of FPS. Try to adjust your play style to the battle if your adjustments dont work then cry like the baby to CCP besides if anybody has the right to complain its the Closed Beta players. Yes this is a rant Dust514 is a job your a mercenary clone and its your job to be ready for PC forget everything else be an asset to your squad and to your corp you dont need kills to be an effective soldier.
