lol, i've mentioned it elsewhere, back in 10-11 school year I was my college's anime club president. lol we had membership fees of $5/semester. took about half the membership fees and spent it on booze for myself.

Episode 1 was pretty exposition heavy but the latter half of that episode was enough to get me interested to keep watching more
Episodes 2-3 were fantastic and the progression between finding out about the threat and finding a way to counter it remains as one of the highlight moments for me in the season. But ...
Episode 4-6 Literally a complete 180 for the series. We go from super interesting mech designs and a well layed out and logical progression of events to the martian empire being ruled by a moron and the Earth forces being so royally incompetent that the thought of dodging or moving while up against an opponent that uses a goddamn sword is unthinkable. Our main protagonist goes from being a smart and observant kid to literally the only competent pilot our entire planet has at their disposal and the show creators insist on throwing Mr.PTSD in a cockpit just so he can get scared and do nothing for 3-4 episodes straight. Character growth? Non-existent.
Episode 7 was pretty good though. I enjoyed it. But the show has shown itself to be so inconsistent at this point that I may as well flip a coin to see if the rest of the series is going to be anything special or not. I'm along for the ride regardless.

The good thing about Aldnoah is no matter how OP the enemy is, there will always be a ways to defeat it, so far the MC is the only one to do it (cuz lol MC OP skills) but I hope to see more members of his team kicking some martian assses.

There's a few shows that I need to watch through again.
Just trying to catch up on the rest of the anime list I have right now...
The main one off the top of my head is No Game No Life. I watched it as it was released and think it'll be better in one go rather than an episode per week.
It's like my backlog of PS3 games that I'm meaning to finish.

If someone posts there stats I'll post mine. It would be embarrassing being the only one. The amount is pretty big, but even worse when you realize 97% of it occurred over the last 3 years.

so i watched the rest of sailor moon - still horrible
and have now started the Survival Game Club - and it's hilarious, lmao. Way better then i expected after episode 1 - starts to get pretty brutal, and pinky takes no survivors.
still waiting to start a few others - SAO is just dead to me at this point. Asuna made the show, it's like Spice without the Wolf. Ruined without her. The plot itself doesn't overly interest me nearly as much as the characters just kinda grind on me when I consider it a continuation from SAO.
That show about moon invading earth just gets stupid. It's so far gone from realism that the main guy just seems more like a plot tool to win then an actual character.

It's the girls making things overly complicated...just like in real life...rather than the guy just being an idiot, not realizing how obvious the whole situation is right in front of him.

i'm so dissapointed by sao, i wish the story had focused on clearing aincraid, rather than everything that happened *sigh* ah well as long as i only remember the aincraid arc it can live on as one of my favorite animes
