i've been watching tokyo esp, and i really don't know how i feel about it. on the one hand its characters are so blatantly copied from xmen and dc, and its character development and designs are all over the place, and it has that most hated on anime tropes (for me at least) "ally of justice" (god i hate that phrase). on the other hand i kinda like it but i have no idea why.

Bolins a Lava bender
Korras poison was metal bended out of her.

Don't throw out spoilers in the thread guys, I shouldn't have to remind you all that there are people here that haven't seen X or Y series and half the enjoyment comes from seeing their reactions to things that they genuinely didn't expect.
Don't be a ****. We could easily discuss Korra spoilers while having proper spoiler warnings or by avoiding significant plot points.

Finished "To Love-Ru" last night. Mixed feelings about this one. On the positive side, the series was focused much more on comedy instead of blatant fan service. That said, the show really begins to drag about halfway through; You get the feeling that you've pretty much seen everything there is by this point and, if you're at all familiar with harem comedies, the resolution will be painfully obvious. Really, this show would have been better off if they had gone with 12 or 13 episodes instead of 26.

Is "Motto To Love-Ru" the sequel to this, or is "To Love-Ru Darkness"?

There is a lot to like about this show
From the gorgeous animation and character design, to the very real versions of cliche personalities. Not a single character is one dimensional, even the side cast help light up the show and come off as interesting.
Rather then a show about Yakaoi or w/e the dance it's called - the show is far more about girls wantings to be more, excel, yet find happiness together and individually.
Not to mention this is some of the best VA work I've heard to date, which is saying something.

I liked this one a lot. Disappointed by the ending (for a "mature" anime, it definitely took a different route than what I was expecting)
At least it ended well instead of just a "well I guess you'll never know who the guy will end up with!"
