I'm on episode 9 right now, it's refreshingly light, kinda funny at time too. And I would say that it has some yuri themes, but not much, tends to a more family/sisterly than anything else. As for a plot twist the only hint I've got is a vague description of the last episode on crunchyroll and a hint in the episode I just watched. |

Rie Kugimiya is the voice actor of Shana from Shakugan no Shana, Louise from Zero no Tsukaima and Taiga Aisaka from Toradora!. Just naming a few anime she was in. She always voices a loli - and she's passionate about it. Loved Taiga from Toradora <3 I love her voice so much that I can recognize it almost instantly. I only hard time I ever had we in Fairy Tail. It tooks me like a few episodes to find out that her voice was of Happy. XD She's in almost every anime i feel sometimes. Just finished Unlimited - she was in it. She's EVERYWHERE! And adorable Lol Shame english VA annoys me in comparison. Yea. I don't like english VA but there are some good ones, like DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, the first Digimon A.K.A Digimon Adventure except for Mimi, never did liked her voice and have to hand it off to Pokemon, they did an all right job with the English dubs. I need to start to watch more anime, I am so far behind on my list. I recently finished with SAO and to be honest, I didn't enjoy that anime too much hype and the ending was so...handed out. What you have to understand is that most of SAO hasn't even been made yet, there's about 11 light novels out now with more on the way which compromise about 4 story arcs, the first 25 episodes only cover the first 2 of those, there's various side stories too. As for the hype I was watching from episode 1 so i Never had anyone tell me how good it was etc etc |

SoTa PoP wrote:Finn Kempers wrote:I find the lack of Berserk on this forum disturbing >.> My general problem is my favourite manga don't get any or terrible anime conversions, examples being I''s and Samurai Deeper Kyo. However some that should be watched without question:
- Berserk
- Anything to do with Fist of the North Star/Hokuto no Ken (ATATATATATATATATATA! WA-TA!), as it inspired pretty much all action manga/anime out there.
- School Days, for those who have not yet received the baptism of yandere.
- Boku no Pico (I'M JOKING DON'T WATCH IT IT WILL SCAR YOU FOR LIFE)
- Sky Crawlers is an interesting watch
However like I said, strong emotions have only for me been pulled out by manga.
Beserker is amazing and recommended to any who hasn't watched - but be warned it's unfinished but there may be plans to fix that soon. And School Days is ... a must watch for anime fans. Just don't throw your keyboard into your screen Lol I've read the manga for berserk (which is also unfinished) but I've never watched the anime for it. Schooldays I haven't seen but will check out. |

You must match this show, it is utterly amazing, it's better than SAO, and this is coming from someone who really likes sword art online.
Also RWBY is great, the anime-esque style is pretty good and rather unique. |

I'm going to nominate you for a Pulitzer for this prize review. Keep up the good work! To be fair most of those are pretty bad. But in Code Geass' defence it was an incredibly entertaining bad. Orange, the chess game and Spinzaku were all hilarious. Sure, some of them aren't that great, but I liked them and they entertained me, which is the point of their existence. Also I'm adding usagi drop to the list. |

Basically it's about a utopian society that has phykokinineses powers. As such they are revered to as gods by the lower life forms they rule over. Then 5 kids start learning about the dark truths to the society they live in and crazy stuff happens.
Warning: it does delve into some deep topics. There is a gay scene somewhere in the middle. As well as scenes of oppression of lower life forms

Imo the truly good shows, Toradora, Onegai Twins, Spice and Wolf, are ignored. So I like to bring light to the darkness that is there beauty.
I mean, can you really compare mainstream to a show like Broken Blade? Or how about B Gata H Kei? Or even Golden Times?
I don't share american taste. Though I do love the fudging crap out of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop and FLCL. :3 the only reason i like the mainstream ones like fairy tail, bleach, one piece, and naruto is the fight scenes, the story is generally garbage in those shows, and there's so many fillers in the anime's that i've switched over to the manga's and just watch my favourite fight scenes. the best anime's i've see are the ones that don't attract lots of attention like angel beats and soranowoto. |

also i know this isn't anime or manga but the feels in it, this thing is bookmarked and shall be checked daily. it is really good, its worth the 5 minutes it takes to read http://www.webtoonlive.com/library/webtoons/anna-toby/chapters/1/

There is a third game If you want me to tell you. 4th one as well, techincally, kind off, more of a virtual world for R&D tbh.

Oh no mainstream! I hate when people use that as an excuse, just too vein. FMA is life. Soul Eater is pretty good, but the plot fluctuates way too much to keep you concerned for the characters. i say mainstream but the real issue is the ridiculous number of fillers both of them have, its ridiculous. and soul eater is pretty good, i recently finished the manga.

I knew it was coming as well, but that didn't lessen the impact one bit. there seems to be a ratio in anime, the higher the cuteness/happiness level of the scene before the fight, the more likely the character is to suffer some horrible injury or die. i've seen it in several other anime's as well like magi.

Good to know that we're sharing some of the best titles in this season! That has made up my mind. Hitsugi No Chaika looked interesting, but since everyone has said they enjoyed it, It will be on my list hitsugi's actually my favourite so far, seems by far the most mature and interesting, main characters seem to be the vilians so far, a refreshing change. and i'll be honest, blade and soul has just been utterly dissapointing so far, the main characters just feels... characterless.
i'm also kinda bugged by sidonia's style but i'll give it a chance and see if the story can grab my attention.

My personal opinion? No SAO gets really REALLY stupid after 4 episodes and if you watch the second season you'll want to kill yourself. I recommend the sister anime Accel World. Or if your looking for something somewhat long D Grey Man. If none of these work there's Gungrave and an anime i REALLY loved in Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. If none of those work for you for some reason ( first slap yourself ) you can try reading or watching noragami the first 10 episodes of SAO are good, agreed that the fairy arc is nearly complete garbage (i enjoyed some of the fight scenes), and their doing my favourite arc the Gun Gale Online arc in the next season, it has some really stupid moments but should have some great fight scenes.
as for accel world, i kinda liked it, main character kinda annoyed me though. still i'd recommend it.
but back to SAO, i'm so dissapointed that the author didn't explore aincrad more, i mean 2 whole years pass in that arc, yet we only see the start and end, and some random bits inbetween, i really wish they'd explored that period, or hell even have had them get to the 100th floor. i mean, they're supposed to be 10 of those unique skills, yet they only ever showed dual wield and holy shield, i really wish we could have seen the others.

what i'm keeping Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
i love the fight scene's but as other's have said, its got some real incestual tones there, its kinda off putting, but i like the fight scene's so i'm keeping it for the moment.
Hitsugi No chaika
definitely one of my favourites so far, some pretty common trope's of characters though, annoying but dealable with, chaika's way of speaking, the story, and animation are all things 'm enjoying so far
black bullet other favourite along with chaika, i like dark anime's, and this one is currently towing the line between dark and gruesome pretty well, add on that overly dramatic and mysterious villian and i'm set for a long time favourite, hopefully the rest of the series can keep up the suspense and dramatic style of the episodes so far.
No Game No Life i find the setting of this one intriguing, a real nice change from the usual fantasy fare, some similar tones to mahouka but no where near as bad.

One thing that bothers me is that the Villain and his loli are extremely broken and OP, I'm wondering how the MC's are going to take care of them. that's part of what i like about him, he's clearly on a whole other level to the MC's, the kids seem somewhat matched but the other's have a huge imbalance, and with no time for the usual secret training to power up crap we see in this kind of situation i'm really interested in how things play out, does the MC use some power that he swore never to use again in his past? do we find out the extent and nature of the surgeries that were hinted at in episode 3? do they take out the baddie with the sheer number of guys trying to kill him?
i hope this show doesn't disappoint.

I couldn't stand railgun. I hate Slice of Life. Same reason why I dropped Soul Eater NOT! even though I love the soul eater universe. As for Tou-Man: Say what you want about his stereotype, but I loved the fact that his standard procedure for ass-kicking involved punching people IN THE FACE. I want a slide show of every face punch in the series. I think it would be funny to watch. i'm mixed on slice of life, it really depends on my mood. i mean, i liked the whole punching people in the face thing too, but it was just how dumb he is "guy being consumed by a magical fire, just stand round shouting till another character prompts him to touch him with his magic/ability canceling right hand." that kind of thing.
oh and the whole "friends, blah blah blah, feelings blah blah blah", speech we got in every fight scene, even the one's where they supposedly don't have much time to avert the crisis.

No!! don't watch Mahouka for the love of god! it's been dropped almost by everyone honestly, but if you want then... well, do what you want lol but anyway, you really picked some of the good titles of this season, you should also add No Game No Life to that list, also Bokura wa and Mangaka san are the best two comedies of the season, also Magaka is classified as a "short" that's why the episodes are so... short. I also found this. idk, mahouka's either started to get slightly better or my tolerance for it has increased, the last episode or 2 have been decent, i'll see how it goes, the incest vibe has been missing from the last 2 episodes thankfully....
oh and i've found a new anime from next season i can't wait for "Aldnoah.Zero" animation style looks good, and look at the guys behind it, should be good. and dat tagline, so good.

SERIOUSLY. The last episode just launched the show to a 9/10 or a 10/10 for me. It's utterly FANTASTIC.
It's got the humor of Baka and Test combined with the Plot twists and diabolical schemery of Code Geass and Death Note.
It's ANIME OF THE SEASON.
NOW CLOSE THIS BROWSER AND WATCH THE SHOW
way ahead of you, that thing is a blast. i'm convinced NGNL is just a HFY story in anime form.

SAO is definitely a rushed show in comparison to LH smooth progression. But rushed or not, SAO delivers on characters and depths, where Log Horizon characters are mostly shallow with just hints of more. But LH character are more enjoyable to watch
But plot is where LH shines after SAO stumbles half way. The strong romance and value of human life in SAO pushes the show strongly forward, where as Log Horizon is about a not-so-average dedicated player using his vast knowledge and intellect to pave a way forward and show how blurry good and evil is.
SAO would of won in probably every category if they would of ended it at 14-15 episodes. As rushed as the first 6-7 episodes are, they're enjoyable, and sometime emotional. But as soon as the epic tale hits half way, it blind sides itself by falling down the most generic of plots and destroying the major driving factor for the story's romance. Turning the show into a grind to see the moment you want.
Log Horizon on the other hand never falters in it's plot, in fact, quite the opposite. It gets better with each episode by leaps. Going from a tale of a single adventurer to a tale of nations, done in the most interesting way possible for a gamer like us to enjoy. But the plot mostly centers around a neutral like character often perceived as evil who plays a support role. He shows everyone reality of player interaction, and why even support role characters can shine like any other favorited class. He's also a known strategist, and uses his ability to bring people together on there own. It's a brilliant show, but as well told as it is it lacks one major thing - Emotion.
Far as animation and voice actors go - SAO wins hands down by leaps and bounds. Though Log Horizons sound track is more enjoyable.
Ultimately, SAO delivers a more emotional show that'll draw you into the story. Where as Log Horizon is less personal and more political. Depending on taste you could easily say one is better then the other, but as a person who enjoys being drawn in, SAO ultimately wins for me. This man knows his anime so well he even studies it. Props Sota. i really like SAO, it has so many good points, if only the aincrad arc was longer the show would easily be one of my top 10, but it doesn't :/ and that really makes me prefer log horizon for its plot. but like soul said, props for an awesome analysis of both shows.

There is something off about this show. I'm guessing it's progression and all the character details they left out about the main cast - like who the hell everyone is, but it's something more.
Maybe I just hate the writers idea about how he views the government would react/handle things. Look at humanities leader - that white hair princess. I almost gave up hope for the show when I realized that one of humanities greatest leaders was a princess who couldn't speak a harsh word to a guy slaughtering her people in front of her. She's incredibly unrealistic to the dark story, and her staff is equally unrealistic in there nobility attire.
With no explanation to how humanity is surviving in such an isolated spot that CAN MAINTAIN A NORMAL FUNCTION OF AN ENTIRE CITY - this show just has too many unrealistic qualities. Such as the treatment of cursed children.
Can anyone honestly say you'd treat any form of a human being badly if they protected your life and had the ability to cry, laugh, and enjoy? Humanity has time to dissect and learn from these girls to get over there blind hatred - this show is just purposely stupid to create a sub-par plot.
The antagonist - however, continues to be amazing and makes the show worth to watch <3 Just watch out. Pacing in the first 5 episodes is INSANE Gets better later. Mr. Mask rules, I'd say more but I don't wanna spoil trying to avoid spoilers here, but i sincerly hope mr mask makes a comeback soon, his slightly crazy menace reminds me of the joker from "the dark knight" and i seriously love that vibe, last few episodes have been lacking his presence and that makes me less interested in the show.

Oh. Well then, carry on. -- Anyway, felt obligated to finish up my Spring shows after my June "break" from the internet. Ping Pong the Animation still comes off as the highlight of the season for me and given how the show started that fact doesn't surprise me in the least. From the outset the show brought an inspired art and animation style to the table and was able to back itself up with an engrossing character drama as well. Despite the name of the show I felt throughout the series that Ping Pong was more a tale of its characters and I found myself connecting in one way or another to antagonist and protagonist alike and it made the actual matches, the "contests of will" between 2 opposing forces, that much more interesting as a result. The "enemies" in this are less tools for the protagonist to move forward and more actual people within the story who have their own set of dreams, motivations, and worldviews that they bring to the table. Ping Pong was the stage for the author to be able to tell these stories rather than the actual focus. Don't miss out on this one, Funimation has it up on their youtube channel as well. Hitsugi no Chaika is one that I'm also not seeing a ton of attention being given to so I went out of my way to finish just recently as well and I was actually impressed with the themes the show was presenting throughout, this sort of focus on the role of the soldier in a post war environment. Sure it's still a story with magic and dragons and other fantastic figures but its done in an extremely competent way and it continues what is a promising trend in the series Bones has put out this year. Noragami, Hitsugi no Chaika, and Space Dandy (hit and miss) have all been extremely entertaining. The only black sheep in all of this seems to be Captain Earth ... -- As for Summer shows the only thing I'm watching right now is Zankyou no Terror (and Legend of Korra if you count that) and while I'm hesitant to give recommendations for the show with it being only 3 episodes in I have come away REALLY impressed with the way its handled itself so far. If there's anything you guys need to make sure you're watching it's Zankyou no Terror (Terror in Resonance)/ Still need to try out Tokyo Ghoul, Akame ga Kill, Space Dandy S2, Fate/Kaleid and Aldnoah Zero though ... any other shows I should be keeping an eye on? Don't recommend me Sword Art Online ... i started off liking chaika but slowly lost engagement with it as it progressed, that may have been due to the fact it was comparing with no game no life, chaika went along at a steady pace whil NGNL just kept increasing the stakes and drama...

still waiting to start a few others - SAO is just dead to me at this point. Asuna made the show, it's like Spice without the Wolf. Ruined without her. The plot itself doesn't overly interest me nearly as much as the characters just kinda grind on me when I consider it a continuation from SAO.
That show about moon invading earth just gets stupid. It's so far gone from realism that the main guy just seems more like a plot tool to win then an actual character.
i'm so dissapointed by sao, i wish the story had focused on clearing aincraid, rather than everything that happened *sigh* ah well as long as i only remember the aincraid arc it can live on as one of my favorite animes

i've been watching tokyo esp, and i really don't know how i feel about it. on the one hand its characters are so blatantly copied from xmen and dc, and its character development and designs are all over the place, and it has that most hated on anime tropes (for me at least) "ally of justice" (god i hate that phrase). on the other hand i kinda like it but i have no idea why.

All the previous books were only weeks apart... so if book 4 is also weeks away. ( I am talking about in anime time, not RL time) Then we will definately be seeing more of korra in her wheelchair and more of her depression. the whole kora series is depressing. it is just not as good as the original avatar. i could never get into it. without sokka the series just blows. I agree... bolin is no sokka. Sokka was hilarious. Bolin is just a moron. agreed, boomie's better than bolin but neither are a match for sokka.

I personally like this idea, as it will mirror what happened with Slaine and Seylum. Also: Slaine is unlucky as HELL in this show. He has been getting screwed over since day 1 2) is unlikely, rewatching the scene we clearly see that its seylum.
1) seems very likely considering the aldnoah drive shut down and i doubt it'd shut down just because she's unconscious, otherwise aldnoah tech would be turning off every time the nobles went to sleep.
as for 3) i honestly wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened, this is an anime after all and having the MC in a room with 2 naked girls is pretty normal.
and while i feel bad for slaine i can't shake the feeling that he's gonna be an example of "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", so i'm treating him as a wild card right now.

Don't worry, she'll die in the show. I guarentee it. She's avoided two deaths already in a Gen Urobutcher show. There will not be a third time. as long as its not a "martyr's herself to ensure peace blahblahblah..."death, i want the kind of sudden twist death like the 3rd episode of madoka magica, the kind of death where she's murdered in the showers and everything goes to ****. but i guess the chance for that has come and gone .

SoTa Senpai wrote:Foundation Seldon wrote:*Fairy Tail Spoilers Fairy Tail Spoilers* *Fairy Tail Spoilers Fairy Tail Spoilers* *Fairy Tail Spoilers Fairy Tail Spoilers*
See I actually think that Fairy Tail's opening arcs are probably its strongest and that sometime after they met the Metal Dragonslayer (in fact immediately after) the quality of the manga went downhill. How many times did they "power of friendship" their way through the battle with the death dragon thing on that random island? How many times were they beaten down senselessly only to get back up with willpower in a single battle? I think at that point I was seriously considering dropping but I was interested to see where the author was going to take the story after the time skip.
And then instead of dealing with the consequences of Fairy Tail being totally outclassed by new guilds they instead throw a DBZ Plot Guru in our way and "unlock the potential" of our heroes and heroines. I noped my way out the door and never looked back. You cannot watch a show like Fairy Tail and not expect 'unlocked' powers. And I can tell it isn't really a problem for you, since you enjoyed the Iron Dragon, pinky gets powered up by red head before he engaged that 'revealed his hidden potential' revealing a fire dragon surrounding him. If the enemies get tougher, the good guys need to get tougher too. And it's the ark right after Iron Dragon I fell for - Leo's short story was very enjoyable, watching him open up and Lucy share the companionship the other instilled in her from the Iron Dragon ark was wonderful. The story itself, if that's your focus, is completely cliche. I have seen these stories before a million times already, even the island village. *Black Star Naru anyone?* But let's be real - anime stories completely rely on characters rather then plot to build interest and move a story along. And Fairy Tails characters all shine. I can't name any that annoy. And I felt true emotion for so many of the characters in the Dragon Iron Ark I was surprised. Everyone from the card girl to the guy with the smokes - all of them opened up and cried there own tears for there own reasons loving those around them in there own way that doesn't feel like it's there to fit a cliche personality. as an avid reader of the fairy tail manga, my only complaint about the story is how badly executed it gets on occasion, i mean its full of cliche's but i expect that here and don't mind, its just that the way plot twists and the like get pulled off can feel jarring, take the latest chapter released for example.

I had some pretty fundamental problems with this episode, I don't think they fleshed out the characters enough to really justify the ultimate decision when things reached the conclusion of the episode. And the dissent from scared couple working together to get out of the situation they were in to, frankly, madness is seriously jarring. I had high hopes for this one but it ended up disappointing on the first ep.
Log Horizon S2 - 14
Pretty ******* great. The writer is an absolute master on the world building front and the amount of revelations coming down the pipe for this one was a joy. Despite the lack of the main crew this is probably one of the best episodes of the show this season.
Aldnoah Zero - 13
The return of Aldnoah Zero. After seeing this all I can say is wow.
That is not a good wow. kanami's boobs were tad over the top (hardlu unusual for anime though) but apart from that it was awesome to finally see her in the show, nice to see a bit more focus on plant hywaden as well.
and aldnoah actually makes me sad, everything from the setting to the visuals to the music to the characters and even the freaking tagline, everything screams that this should be one of those shows at the pinnacle at what anime can be, something that should be placed alongside the likes of fate/zero as a must watch, but the writing is just so bad. The first couple of episodes which the butcher wrote were great, they had such promise, but since then things have just spiraled downhill.
i'm still gonna watch it, much like you watch a train wreck, in the vain hope that something good might emerge from the wreckage surrounding it.

Also, Kokoro Connect was great, and it is in my top 10, but it is not my favourite.
My top 10 is currently as listed, in case you need it for future reference:
1. Love Live! School Idol Project 2. Angel Beats 3. Nagi no Asukara 4. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica 5. Fate / Zero 6. Sword Art Online 7. Kokoro Connect 8. Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-Kei no Naka de 9. Akatsuki no Yona 10. Shakugan no Shana
Honourable Mentions: Guilty Crown Hamatora Kiss x Sis
i take issue with sword art online being above yona and inou-battle, both shows are/were far superior. the first arc was all SAO had going for it, the rest is pretty awful. i don't want to start a fight or cause offence but aldnoah is more enjoyable to watch (i'm actually kinda torn on aldnoah, season 2 is shaping up to be alright, and i continue to love everything apart from the plot).
and i ******* love angel beats, i need to rewatch it.

I completely understand; but, it is because of the first arc that Sword Art scored so highly. If the show had ended after the first arc, it would be at the top of my list, no questions asked. I don't think I have ever enjoyed any anime as much as I enjoyed that first arc, but it has been let down by the its other arcs. Everything on my list is, of course, subject to change, so it may not remain in 6th forever. i can respect that, god i just wish they'd kept the story in SAO for the whole season, they skipped 70 floors and still had another 25 to go, not to mention that there were another 8 unique blade skills that hadn't been seen yet, if they'd done that SAO might be one of my all time favourites.

Yup, I've been saying the same things. If the first season was half as good as the second season has been up until this point then I'd have had a lot less to complain about. The battles are way more interesting thanks to the decidedly more SciFi-y mech design (no more mechs being dedicated to rocket punches and "Not one, but TWO swords") and the actual events happening outside of the battles do enough to make me want to tune in week after week. I was expecting to hatewatch it going into S2 but I've been thoroughly entertained regardless. Still have some problems with Earth's over-reliance on Inaho to do everything, his hilariously overpowered robo-eye, the incompetence of Vers government/officers, and there being no reason in the slightest to attack earth for resources with the technology that they have at their disposal but oooooohhhh well. Purple princess is best girl. personally i find the earth mechs design to be one of my favourite parts of the show, its decidedly utilitarian compared to most mech designs you see, i like that a lot.

Death Parade's opening is catchy, and it is pretty good, but it is definitely not the best opening this season.
Let me list off the better openings of this season.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso Opening 2: Nanairo Symphony by Coala Mode
KanColle Opening 1: Miiro by Akino from bless4
Saekano Opening 1: Kimiiro Signal by Luna Haruna
That is only openings. (Hopefully the songs are right, I'm at school so I cannot listen to the videos right now.) Let's look at endings now, as these endings are better than every song I mentioned combined.
Shigatsu wa kimi no Uso Ending 1: Orange by 7!!
KanColle Ending 1: Fubuki by Shiena Nishizawa
So yah. I would type more but I'm out of time. See ya all.
pfft alnoah zero opening best opening, unfortunatley its impossible to find a non nightcore version on youtube, this link has the full song but its incredibly slow to load for me http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/SawanoHiroyuki%255BnZk%255D%253Amizuki---%2526amp%253B%25EF%25BC%25BA/7808310039bb948cc79c2bf3c7586d24

I get where you guys are coming from now - a lot of the shows interesting pace is finally taking a back seat to flesh out some characters internal strife believably.
Unfortunately they did so by tying two slow stories together.
They probably thought people would enjoy watching the loli purple hair girl learingn her Teaching - but it was tedious watching her anguish over a childish issue. And it's backed and then followed by slow pacing and lots of internal dialogue.
But to say the show has dropped for it is too much, Log Horizon in season 2 is basically telling us they're comfortable enough with the plot and characters that they can slow it down and start fleshing everything out.
as such, season 2 is much like season one of clannad, it's not going to wrap up anything but give you a ton more questions.
There's also something else I've noticed - animation quality dropped. I saw consistently ugly scenes as if they just couldn't be bothered to draw a line straight. This is becoming noticeable more frequently in the later episodes, especially when the youngster started there travels. yeah, it bugs me, i mean it won't make me stop watching but it feels like they're rushing production or just don't have the time to make the visuals match the story. in the last episode in particular there were some really jagged character profiles.

It was weird, and definitely NSFW, but I think I liked it. I was disappointed with Kill la Kill frankly. A show that absolutely oozed style from start to finish yes but one that ultimately left me dissatisfied with everything that could have been. Everything from the intro to the initial introduction of Tsumugu was absolutely sublime but after that point I feel like the show stumbles and is never able to quite pick up the pieces on the writing front. Tsumugu never does anything significant after that point. Nudist Beach, an organization that's implied to have much more significance to the overall arching plot, gets wrecked in a single episode. The "Fiber Bullet" plot point is completely dropped and forgotten about the moment it's brought up. Ryouko has the world bend over backwards to make up for her fuckups (how many times did she "get away" after being pummeled by Satsuki's forces?), the field trip arc was pointless and a waste of time, etc etc etc. It really feels like there was a major re-write during the middle of development where they just veer off into a completely different direction. i liked it, the plot was far from a masterpiece but i think it did alright, it was entertaining and didn't have too many gaping plot holes, and everything else from the style, to the fight scenes, to the music was fantastically done. i wouldn't rate kill la kill as one of the greatest anime's ever, but i would rate it as one of the most entertaining. thats what i think of it at least, i understand its something of a polarizing anime.

I don't disagree with you foundation, characters are pretty generic right now, obvious plot spoiler was obvious, and it'd be nice for an anime with an interesting premise to have a good story for once (looking at you aldnoah). But there's definitely potential, I'm expecting a curveball of some kind when what's his name finds out how much time Isla has left. But I'm gonna hedge my bets and expect an average, somewhat enjoyable slice of life. If it ends up exploring some interesting transhumanism and robotic topics I'd be very happy.

The only Gundams I can recall having seen in my life were the old Gundam Wing and G Gundam back when they were airing on Toonami. A friend of mine recommended I check out Turn-A so here I am. A low key episode but I like that they didn't feel the need to throw in some cataclysmic event from the outset in order to hook you into the series. Really liked the way they were able to establish little elements of the world without feeling the need to do a super heavy handed exposition sequence either. It's refreshing.
Mirai Nikki - 01 This was really dumb!
Mirai Nikki - 02 This has crossed the threshold of dumb into actively insulting my intelligence. I genuinely can't take this show seriously in its current state. It's honestly more comparable to some juvenile saturday morning TV show than anything I've seen in recent memory. I don't even know what to bring up first, the ridiculously flamboyant and cartoonishly evil antagonists, the main female lead whose only purpose is to fawn over our protagonist and murder dozens of her classmates, the stupidity of everyone involved with respect to how to handle a hostage crisis (let's walk into enemy territory without a plan and be forced to point a gun at MC within the first 5 seconds of realizing how stupid I am), or how our villain of the week is foiled in part due to kids randomly chucking books and other school items out of their windows. There's not a single redeemable thing about this show that I can cite at this point in time.
In conclusion : http://i.imgur.com/c8U8Ukc.gif while such dumb elements exist throughout, the show does get better, that said, i only ever read the manga.

I saw this coming if you hadn't seen the show - you're having the exact same problems I did when the show first aired. And you're getting the responses I did because of the source material, "It'll get better! Pinky won't grind your nerves, the main guy won't be a waste of flesh given life, and the strange mix of dark reality vs school day reality will blend well eventually!!!!!!!!!"
It never does, it doesn't even try thank god. If it had I would of been pissed, because the 'realities' of some of the cast would never been understood by ANY degree by ******* HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. REGARDLESS OF PAST DRAMA.
As the MC is the most typical anime hero - he just oozes plz kill me now.
But, they're right, it does get better. But only if you look past the setting. If you can't look past that the setting is half-assed done, then the show will go on a down-word spiral of stupidity, as it sets itself up to get grander and grander as the twists and turns become more and more unexpected.
Eventually though, you catch the pattern of how this show is 'unexpected' - so be wary of over-thinking this show, you'll ruin it for yourself.
This isn't Madoka Magica whose discussions can go on for hours on what things mean - Future Dairies just sorta tales a tell in a great way. i find it hard to articulate my opinion of the show, its been years since i read it, and it has a lot of weak points, a lot, and i wasn't a huge fan of the main characters or the ending either, but i can't help but like it. it has a story filled with absurdity and weird twists, a romance between two side characters which is miles better than the main one, a pretty dumb setting overall to be honest as well, and yet if you can ignore that and just go with it it ends up being a great read/watch. i mean, sota's kind of got it, its not great in any real aspect except its delivery, which it actually got down pretty well.

I dunno, I stopped watching Psycho Pass around the time they introduced the cyber clown dude. I hear pretty universally bad things about season 2 though. i'll see how it goes, if they're trying to make a point about autonomous systems and human will/morality they might be going overboard in their implementation.

was not expecting those feels from UBW. Oh there's a lot more feels yet to come. UBW has some tragic stuff happen in it. i've only done the VN route for stay/night, i never got further than the first half of UBW (around where season 1 ended), i'm in unknown waters here and i'm frankly scared at this point of what heavens feel will do to me.

watch it for biribiri, lord knows that the only reason i did, i get so mad at touma, rather than do anything intelligent all he does is stand around, cries about friendship and feels and punches the bad guy after an episodes worth of monologue. he's got a really cool power and plot line but they ruin it by making him one of the dullest and most infuriating characters possible.

http://kissanime.com/Anime/Onegai-Twins-OVA-Dub
http://kissanime.com/Anime/Spice-and-Wolf
http://kissanime.com/Anime/Tokyo-Ravens
there's more :3 Shana, Kimi No Boku, and several others. I really need to catch up... The only one of those I've seen is Spice and Wolf. Honestly though, is it really a romcom? I didn't really find it to be very comedic, and it's much more serious in tone than a lot of other ones. You can't forget Welcome to the NHK. That one was excellent. Also, another contender for top 3 anime of all time is Angel Beats! It does everything, and it does it well. Action? Check. Romance? Check. Comedy? Check. Mystery? Check. Feels? Che... OH GOD WHY AM I CRYING!!??!?! I want to like Angel Beats, i really do. And i know it's a lot of peoples top 3, but it's bottom 3 for me. It does have everything, including epic plot holes that turn what was a well fleshed show, excluding half the cast has no real background, into a big question mark. And it seems i'm the only one who has problem with how it went down. *SPOILER* The ending just makes no sense, explaining it based on content not found in the show or hardly explained is just excuses to the director failing to incorporate an important part of the story: How the hell did his heart end up in her chest, when she's been around long enough to be forgotten as another entity completely?! We're not talking a few years difference, but possibly 50 to a hundred for them to be as confused about the situation as they were. Even if just 20, 10 would be just too damn much, 5 would be pushing it, to explain a heart transplant. So then a ton of information is missing, like time-frame of the events we're even watching. The show goes from making kinda sense if you don't put too much thought into it (Character behaviors) - to shoving it in your face how little they themselves thought about it. Everything else was enjoyable, besides that it felt like a show that should of had twice as many episodes. i think a lot of people will agree with that, it had a lot of pacing issues, it had a lot of plot holes, most of the cast had no development at all, and even among those who did some of the backgrounds were bad (yuri's comes to mind). but the bits they did right were fantastic, like yui's arc, that arc is why i love the show so much, the rest of it doesn't hold a candle to it. when angel beats got it right it made the show into a feels trip, that why i like it at least. its one of those shows you kinda have to like because of its flaws, i mean, i agree with every single thing you said but i still adore the show.
then again that might just mean i have crap taste.

also ill have to check out some more anime soon.. haven't watched it for a while.. which is a good thing for sleep and work productivity... i use to get about 4hours of sleep if that. now im getting a good 6hours at least. Normal people: I have an hour and a half of free time! I'll get some laundry done, maybe pick up a few things from the store, clean up a bit... Me: I only have three hours before work...that's not nearly enough time for all the anime I need to watch. Me: that's about 6 episodes if i rush enough to get it playing before i gotta wear a fake smile and do things ( no joke XD) I don't know how, but it seems to take me 50 minutes to watch a 30 minute episode. I think it's cause of those damn advertisements. The worst is when they don't even load up quickly, wasting your time. I never get ads, the only ones i get are banners and stuff on the side which i always hit hide on. Kiss anime and gogoanime are alright as i get no pop up ads. but gogo has a lot more side banners ect that annoy me. i don't mind side manners that much, as long as they don't annihilate the screen space and theres no popups i don't mind them.

I'm really interested in finding mature animes geared for an adult audience and looking for suggestions for after I finish Psycho Pass. Here is a list of animes I have already watched:
Death Note Wolf's Rain Trigun Cowboy Bebop Samurai Champloo High School of the Dead Blue Gender Speedgrapher (didn't finish this one, was a little too Power Rangers for my taste) Attack on Titan Paracyte Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Something similar to the themes presented in this list is a must. I like realistic traits with unique flare, so it doesn't have to be hardcore realistic but I do want some maturity in the overall presentation.
I know it is a sin but I'm preferable to English Dubs so I can do other things while I watch. I don't really like being glued to the TV to understand what the characters are saying. Also, I have a preference for Netflix and Hulu as I have those, but am willing to get Crunchyroll as well.
Thanks, ahead of time, for any suggestions. Kissanime.com has a lot of dubs I'd say code geass, is this a zombie? The devil is a part timer (Netflix as well) Maybe highschool dxd? Fate/stay watch the old one first =ƒÿä Potential ones you could like, full metal alchemist brotherhood, full metal panic, black butler, Tokyo ravens and Noragami (both are new dubs) Netflix- full metal alchemist brotherhood 4/5 seasons, d grey man(only dubbed up to episode 50) heavens lost property, the devil is a part timer, soul eater, Rosario vampire (it's really hit or miss for some people) Freezing both seasons, black butler might still be on Netflix idk? My bride is a mermaid, That's all I remember for now Also kissanime works well with mobile just ps4 tends to have a memory issue I can't solve..guess it does it often on the web browser ? If you have a ps4 and use the web browser and get "error not enough memory" don't worry about it..it's a load but still runs great other than that tends to happen often i don't think anyones ever tried to accuse code geass of being realistic before, that said i would definetly regard it as a must watch, so much crazy **** happens in that series.

That series really stands out to me as the only one where there is a clear trajectory with the storyline: boy meets girl, boy meets more girls, girls come together as a harem and then--and this is where Shuffle stands apart--the boy clearly and distinctly makes his "choice" of which girl he wants to take as his partner, even at the risk of upsetting the balance of the harem. Can't think of any other harem series that I've watched where a group of contestants emerges before the "hero" makes his choice; many, such as the To Love Ru series, focus more on the hijinks that happen with a harem and don't really push things towards a decisive conclusion and make it clear that the girls are happy as a harem. Others, such as Rosario Vampire, make it clear that there is a "favorite" girl that story revolves around with the formation of a harem to add humor to the storyline. But Shuffle...that one really sticks out to me. Not only does it have an honest-to-goodness competition amongst the harem members, but the "hero" of the story actually becomes (painfully) aware that that accumulation and enjoyment of a harem will ultimately result in the hurting of the harem members, moreso as his indecisiveness continues. Thank God the hero picks the girl that I liked the most! Harems typically all suck because they either; A) Never finished the damn show B) Picked a stupid ******* girl C) Girls were all stupid to begin with very few harems can even be considered half good. Eden of Grisiaia is probably the only other exception besides Shuffle! to the harem formula not falling flat. but there are a few honorable mentions - http://myanimelist.net/anime/276/Mahoromatichttp://www.anime-planet.com/anime/isekai-no-seikishi-monogatarihttp://www.anime-planet.com/anime/nisekoihttp://www.anime-planet.com/anime/saekano-how-to-raise-a-boring-girlfriendhttp://www.anime-planet.com/anime/tears-to-tiarahttp://www.anime-planet.com/anime/he-is-my-master I enjoyed trinity 7 if only for the fact it was such a pisstake, it got silly and didn't take itself too seriously. also, lots of fanservice.

She becomes lost in jealousy and confusion and that's when an ogre invades her homes and confuses her more, somehow tricking her after showing the man she loves having sex with the new girl through a peep hole. He drugs her and takes her away and basically rapes and chops her up, but she learns something in the process. The show continues with the guy finding the location of where the girl is, completely chopped up and near death. That's when it comes to him and he remembers. And she accepts her death. Nice twist in the end, though a bit of a stretch. I didn't watch much of the first 2-3 episodes, as it was mostly just sex scenes and brutality, but the last episode had plenty of story before... my links. :D nevermind i found it, skipped through episode 4 to see the scenes, its gets pretty ****** up tbh, especially the bit with the eye ugh.

i'm torn between laughing my ass off at the the studio for having the balls to pull that off and being really ******* upset by leaving me hanging like this. those last 2 episodes were a ******* rollercoaster, one that takes you for a ride then leaves you hanging right as you start to drop.

Same with Gurren Lagenn... except I've no idea why you dropped this show, it's so epic epic isn't even epic enough of a word to describe it.
Incoming pilot reviews: 6 Flowers is taking my top spot this season. More to come soon :3
I only watched three episodes of Gurren Lagann. The reason I dropped it is because I thought the main guy was insufferable. Too whiny. Honestly, I doubt I even made it to the good parts. KanColle: This is exactly what I expected it to be. Actually, that's a little innacurate. It's exactly what I hoped it to be. It's fluffy, the animation is fantastic, and it's just so, so much fun. Naka melts my heart, and can't I just pretend that it's yuri? Just little bit? I'm only two episodes in, so hopefully it'll stay this awesome. I also love that fact that the "Admiral" is implied to be you. Feels torpedo off to starboard, there's no avoiding it. it'll hit in an episode or two, thankfully though, the show stay pretty upbeat. i don't think i could stand sad kancolle.

However, the sheer fun that I had watching it was so great poi! Ooichi's drop kick has probably been one of the awesomest, and most insane things I've ever seen.
i got really annoyed at the last couple of episodes, i mean, i've read about midway in some detail and watching akagi and the others make the same historical mistakes was painful. its like in a horror movie when you watch a character do something stupid and you wanna shout at the screen.

I want to be able to invest in this show but i can't, not when i have to treat every emotional scene as a potential death scene. i kinda want mine to die simply so i can stop caring about the characters, she's the last of those i liked. on episode 20, i'm almost at the end of this series. Edit:
Quote: i kinda want mine to die simply so i can stop caring about the character i regret these words.
Edit Edit: spoilers ahead so i finished it, on reflection binging it may have been a mistake as i was kinda numb towards the last 3 episodes, but meh. good show, would probably recommend it if someone asked about it but i wouldn't go out of my way to tell people about it. the action scenes were great, plot was generic but then i don't think i expected anything else tbh. characterization is where this show had issues though, the cast were all pretty standard tbh, young MC with lots of potential etc etc, female character who's really strong and serves as an inspiration for MC etc, tsundere, older male character to fill a father/big brother role, airhead, all pretty standard tropes in anime. their backstory's were interesting at least, fit the tone of the show and didn't come across as overdone. I particularly liked (read hated) how they made the jaegers the main antagonist likeable characters, i maintain that bohls is the best character, probably because it feels like he got the best character development in the entire show, at first you think he's a weirdo, then it turns out he's a pretty likeable guy, can come across badly at first but his heart seems in the right place, the fact he has the best domestic situation as well probably helps, its just that his job involves burning people alive, often for pretty crappy reasons.
so bohl best character, i liked mine and Chelsea as well, it sucks that we got so little screen time of chelsea because she was definitely the most likable night raider, not to mention the best assassin hands down, i'd she had the best development next to bohl, they don't really go into much details on her past but what they showed gives you plenty of context on how she behaves around her teammates and enemies (chelsea killing bohls is the only scene where i actually wanted to cry).
i liked mine cause i like tsundere's, though her feelings for our MC had raised enough death flags that i was expecting her to die for the 3 episodes preceding her actual death, kinda crappy how they did it but i was emotionally numb by that point so it might just be that it was lost on me. as for the actual ending, i want to say i''m surprised by how the last two episodes went but i'm really not, i'd normally congratulate a show for killing off the MC but i felt nothing, it was like a "huh" moment, had no impact. the fight with esdeath and the killing of the minster were the same, what should have been highlight moments felt unimportant, more like something i have to watch to get to the better bit latter on.
I think the biggest problem this show has though is time, only a few characters had ends that felt fitting, and thats because few of the cast were around long enough for you to actually connect with them, bohls was one, i hate that he died but it was a well done scene that fit him and his killer perfectly, which they ruined by having another scene after it rather than doing it at an episode end. lubbe surprisingly, was another one, i never really liked his character but the way he died fit his character perfectly, things went to crap but he still managed to find a way to take his opponent down with him, it left me with a lot more respect for his character in death than i had in his life. the others though, sheele's especially felt bad, your just starting to get to know her character and she dies, chelsea's felt a bit weird but that may have been the sudden change from kurome's death to hers, mine's was just... idk but it felt like it should have been better, leone's seemed like her wounds should have been emphasized more in the scene before. susanoo's was cool, i liked that one, and the one with the older guy, i forget his name would have been better with less talking.
if this show had devoted more time to character building (having two sets of chracters didn't help) so that you actually cared about them and less time on the fighting it would have been better i think, my reaction to character death mimicked the shows, the first couple you actually feel and spend time thinking about, with a small follow up in the next episode, then towards the end you see them die, feel bad about it then forget them next episode as they seem to have dissapeared from existence barring a mention in a few lines of dialogue. i mean they literally end one episode on seeing chelsea's severed head mounted in the town square, then the next they just move onto the next town and are all cheerful and such. would it have killed them to spend a short scene on tatsumi recovering her head or telling the others about what happened to her? in the end the show didn't care about its characters so i didn't either.

I've almost quit anime before because I've seen series that I feel will never be surpassed. However, if this actually gets done correctly it'd probably make me quit life. Because honestly, there'd just be nothing that would ever be able to top it.
I like Anime better than TV because I don't have to have any special recording devices to watch it whenever I want, and I don't have to pay more than $7 per month for it. The biggest downside of anime is that you have to get invested in it. At least, that's what a lot of my friends say. With things like Family Guy you can watch as little or as much as you like. There is no order to it, and each episode makes sure to reset so that the series can go on forever. Personally Anime to me is more comparable to movies than TV. Yeah there are certain series out there that have compelling stories with live action stuff (Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, etc), but American television just seems so ridiculous all the time. Anime also seems to have more related shows and content. As in, I can find another 4-5 similar shows after watching something I like rather than having to wait a whole week for the next episode of an american show because there isn't anything else out like it.
Even if you find a show that seems so much better than everything else, there's a good probability that something else will come out next season that is at least as decent. And even then, sometimes a show pops up that you weren't expecting to like that you find enjoying in a different way. i don't know about the invested part, a lot of slice of life shows especially like nichijou have very little or no overarching plot, so you can pick any episode and watch it stand alone. on the other hand some series in different genres get these huge far reaching plots that most western shows don't even compare too. i think most western shows are a lot more episodic, with plotl ines spanning the length of the episode, compared to most anime where a single plot arc is normally spread over several episodes.
and i think one of the biggest reason i prefer anime over normal tv especially is the visuals, i don't just mean art styles or stuff like that, i'm talking about visual integration of CG and stuff. in a western show such as falling sky's you get these cg heavy scenes very rarely and they can't help but feel out of place, the CG tends to have this uncanny valley like effect where it doesn't quite mesh with the live action parts of the scene, in anime however there's not really anything like that, the shows as a whole just tends to look more cohesive and consistent, it makes for a more immersive viewing imo.

There's something about Touma you need to come to terms with to enjoy him: His hand is the Miracle Breaker, it destroys all things that are unimaginable for us to control. Having had this power for as long as he can remember, it's effected him in every way manageable without being abrasive. His luck is crap because miracles just don't happen for him, so his life is littered with one bad thing happening after the next, with only his perservance proving to have any effect. So he's a hard working guy, used to life shitting on him. its not that which i find annoying, for the most part i find him to be a decent if somewhat bland character on occasion, its those long ass monologues he does in the middle of the fight scene where he effectively recaps the plot arc, how he dislikes the antagonist and how the power of friendship won't be beaten that i hate. if it weren't for that i wouldn't really care for him, as it is i find him to be something i have to tolerate rather than enjoy like the rest of the show. its part of why i find railgun to be a more enjoyable series, misaka tends to spend less time talking and more time blowing stuff up, don't get me wrong, she does the same thing on occasion as well but she's nowhere near as longwinded.

The worst part is waiting like 4 months for these things to come out. not at all, if kirito and asuna had been more like this in the show it would have been way better, i like the whole "insulting the crap out of each other" thing the abridged version has going on. lizbeths and asuna's scene's were great as well XD.

i might just watch something that i wont cry for 30mins straight in the shower over at the end or in any episode. like K-On or something maybe Attack On Titan AoT might not be what you're looking for, but K-on's a great choice, as is Lucky Star, Ordinary Life, and Yuru Yuri lucky star is too boring :P i am half way through ill finish it later also AoT is kinda, i was watching a few eps on tv the other night. I might jsut watch one that I put on my list and never really heard about it. Or i could watch Afro samurai or cowboy beepbop I recommend trying Fairy Tail, it's a slow start, but it's the only long-standing-anime i've ever come to enjoy. One Piece visuals throw me off and make it harder to enjoy, Bleach S4 is terrible, Naruto has way too many fillers, and Inuyasha hanged on one issue way too damn long. Fairy Tail has a way of constantly resolving then bringing a new appeal, the time ark is kinda draggy, but over-all, the show really grows on you. Im not watching fairy tale..... wayyyy too many eps its worth it, if you skip the filler arcs of just read the manga the amount of stuff you have to get through is probably cut by at least a third. Fairy tail is one of those shows that's hard to put down once your in it, and the soundtrack is amazing as well.

Literally everything comes into play - over and over again, so it never feels filler. you only really notice them if you read through the manga, but there's a couple of arcs in the anime that don't exist in the manga, to the animes credit they're not that bad but they have no relevance on the main storyline. as much as fairytail can be said to have a main story that is.

Right then, down to business. Since "waifu" is too big of an option, we will have to narrow down the waifu aspects but I don't want to narrow down to a specific anime with the best waifu to choose from (too limited) so I thought we could do age restrictions, eg under 18 and over 18 (it sounds ridiculous yes but most female protagonist are under 18 - high school settings are the most popular anime setting after all) loli and no loli (yes i know what you're thinking, lolicons do exist). I think those two limits will be enough for now. Thats the waifu aspect done. Now the poll. I think the poll that anime trending uses to get votes will be enough for the poll. I guess there will be a box that you can suggest waifus and I'll (or whoever is in charge of the poll) will add it up. I also think there should be more than 1 vote (1 waifu never is enough ( -í-¦ -£-û -í-¦) ). Maybe we could separate them between each year and we could have 1(+) vote for each year. Should i put the poll here in a separate topic? One last thing before I open this up for suggestions, is this a poll to see dust (player's) favorite waifu? I got a lot of other stuff I want to discuss but can't remember it all. Will need some people to help me do it and everyone to give me (waifu) suggestions. My waifu will always be Holo from Spice and Wolf. A loli waifu would probably be like Hina from Hayate the Combat Butler. and other would be IA - the vocoloid <3 In all honesty, I was excluding Holo from mine on purpose. She really is damn near perfect. I doubt Holo could cook or clean to save her life - and managing a house with kids would probably drive her up a wall. But she really is amazing. Holo is wise. Business can afford Maids and Cooks. lets be honest here, who wouldn't want to see an OVA of holo trying to do those things? it would be absolutely hilarious, i can just imagine Laurence seeing the impending meltdown coming and desperately try to escape before it happens.

Every time I killed a nyain san, i was like YUS [:twisted I remember TSL being still active back long ago. My character is around 2 years and several months old. Oh and don't expect much from shirobako, it will amaze as you watch it. Around the first few episodes I didn't really like it but it slowly got better to the point of amazing The character names are really difficult and you will have a rough time knowing whos who but daijobu (I'm sorry, I just had to) it took me like episode 11 to finally remember the char names- why? because they have screen time on almost all aspects of the staff (i would have liked more color production/CGI staff and Nabe P char development). One of the characters that you will see grow(apart from the 5 girls) is the director. I won't spoil it for you but he really is amazing (and badass ). The plot itself is the main girl run around and do her job (what did you expect? its a real life setting with adult characters) unless you need a slice of adulthood, you won't enjoy it much. I would say that it isn't the plot or the characters (but the characters are amazing ) that make it really amazing but the conversation and the realistic message it sends. so do i, i remember that half the reason they stomped so hard was because when they joined the server dissolved into this massive ******* lag fest and meant it was impossible to try and coordinate your fire at all. god i started before nyain san existed and it was the imperfects who went round proto stomping. i remember me and a full LOTIS squad dying again and again trying to kill Mr Zito's (i think that was his name...) tank while it had a squad of imperfects with it.

Shaft did a brilliant job with this series. I just wish it wasn't so hard to figure out which order to watch it in :/ Have you seen Mekakucity Actors? i have, while the plot felt a bit weird at times i enjoyed the characters and that weird shaft style of presentation. and given how hard it is to figure out the watch order for monogatari i ended up googling and finding this helpful guide https://www.reddit.com/r/araragi/comments/253p64/the_orders_to_monogatari_condensed_version/

However, Index took the story further. Personally, I liked Railgun better. I just wish they gave either show another 2 or so seasons. I'll have to pick up the light novels sometime. railgun gets pretty yuri and silly in season 1 and the second half of season 2, whereas index stays more serious, so i understand your preference there soul. i just prefer railgun because we get to see more of my favorite character in the show (misaka) and how she has to come to terms with and deal with a problem outside of her capability (the sisters).
raildex aside i found this great beserk amv earlier, made my eyes water a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVQJ6Px15_4
